Chapter 27 - The Grand Scheme (pt.3)

"YOU BITCH! ILL KILL YOU!!!"

The alternate Kuro voice had tore through the silence of the night, his eyes streaming with tears as he witnessed the death of a man he called his true rival.

____________

The Original Kuro smiled as the piercing screech of his counterpart cries echoed through the very world itself, blocking a knee strike from Michael and lashing out with his own elbow strike.

"And so it begins..."

_____________

The Alternate Kuro had his face by staring down at the ground, his body trembling with seething rage.

Then he felt it. An increase of magical essence that dwarfed the power he was just wielding.

Kuro's very soul was exuding such potent energy that even his body could not contain it, leaking forth into reality as a pillar of energy shooting into the sky and beyond.

The sheer force of the exuding energy had repelled everything away from him, tearing away chunks of the ground with ease and flinging it yards away.

Shura on the other hand, looked on with a nervous expression, unable to move her body due to the inescapable gravitational pull that led her towards the angered Kuro.

'Shit-'

That word was the only thing her mind could utter before Kuro's soul energy settled and he was right in front of her.

Kuro struck with a vertical jab, slamming his fist into her stomach and right through it with relative ease.

This strike alone had sent a surge of his soul energy through her body and out her body, rupturing the very veins that circulated her nether energy within her soul essence.

He did not stop.

Kuro then grabbed her by the throat before she could be launched away, his grip tighter than steel but not enough to crush her neck.

He then mercilessly began striking her with his free hand.

Every strike exuded even more soul energy, that continued to force its way through her body.

"You know what. I'll show you how weak you really are, even at your full power"

Kuro stated and had released her from his grasp, watching as she struggled to gasp for air, glaring at him with untamed hatred.

He sneered and kicked her directly in the face, forcing her head to slam into the ground while he kept his foot directly on her head.

"I'll show you all the true meaning of power"

And with those words, the alternate Kuro had vanished with no trace of his presence, leaving Shura to seeth in rage and groan in agony.

.

"It was fun Michael, but now it's time to complete my objective"

The Original Kuro proclaimed as he slipped under two jabs, while slamming an open palm into Michael's exposed stomach.

Michael felt something within his very essence shift and in moments, he fell to one knee in sudden extreme exhaustion while glancing up at Kuro in confusion.

"W-what did you do"

Michael stammered out as blood slowly fell from his eyes, mouth, and nose at the same time.

"Nothing special, just severed your connection to this universe. Don't worry, your power will be used to bring back the Morningstar...so we can kill it."

The Original Kuro explained as he stood over the fallen Michael, an arrogant and satisfied grin on his face as he observed Michael's hopeless expression.

"Nice of you to join me~ finally realized that we belong as one?"

The original Kuro proclaimed suddenly, turning his back to Michael and properly addressing his counterpart, a subtle shocked expression fixing his face at the soulless expression of his counterpart face.

"... Let's get this over with. I want to kill her"

The alternate Kuro proclaimed to which the original Kuro nodded with eagerness, making his way towards his counterpart with his hand outstretched.

The world froze as the two stepped closer and closer, the sky distorted and reality began to fracture.

Then they joined hands.

.

Shura laid motionless on the ground, her breathing ragged and barely audible. Then she felt it, the power of something she haven't felt since her creation.

Suddenly her body was rejuvenated, a source of power once forgotten coursing through her essence once more.

The Morningstar was almost reborn

The wounds she previously recovered were gone as if they had never existed and from her back, uncurled two feathery white wings that exuded divinity.

Her eyes immediately locked in towards somewhere not even in sight.

Then she was gone.

.

'I'm almost complete. Now I just need to make her use all that power and kill me'

Kuro proclaimed within his mind and as if on cue, his eyes flickered to the side just as Shura appeared beside him in her near-complete divinity phase.

Her face was twisted with disgust and rage, already reaching forward to annihilate him yet to her shock, he leapt away at an even faster pace.

Kuro and Shura stared each other down, then Kuro made the first move by generating a twenty-five billion bolts of physical lightning, with a simple gesture of his hand.

The sheer scale of the attack had tore through half of the planet, eviscerating everything within its path towards Shura.

Flames consumed the once flourished woodlands across the half the globe, carbon monoxide filled the air and increased the tempature of the very planet at a rapid rate.

"You LIED!"

Shura yelled out in anger at the destruction caused by her archenemy, earning a haunting laugh that mocked her to no end.

He observed as she utilized her divine wings to shield herself from the full-force of the attack, while simultaneously casting a defensive technique that absorbed the rest of the attack.

Then before Kuro could initiate another attack, someone else entered the battle field with an expression of sorrow yet it was hidden behind a mask of rage.

"Miyah~ what a wonderful-"

Kuro began but his sentence was cut short when he was forced to tilt his head to avoid a vertical sword slash, then swiftly ducked under a horizontal slash before delivering a vertical jab to her stomach.

The sheer force of his strike had forced Miyah to double over in pain and be flung back, clutching her stomach.

Shura took this opportunity to swing her arm and generate a deadly dust storm, attempting to block Kuro's vision.

"A cheap tactic"

Kuro stated and with one blow of his breath, the dust storm was blown away along with any clouds that littered the sky.

"Give it up Shura. This is the beginning of the end."

Kuro stated coldly and took a step forward, tilting the very axis of the planet at an unnatural degree.

This in itself had immediately caused an apocalyptic level catastrophe, the very weather shifting at an unnatural rate which wiped away the remaining life on the planet.

.

Ayami observed quietly as Kuro combined with himself to regain the power of his avatar, easily erasing life on the planet with no hesitation.

Though it did shock her a bit when Shura managed to regain a decent portion of her divine power, now just slightly interested in the fight that would destroy the very planet they resided on.

"Jeez. My job only gets harder and harder, hopefully they only keep it within the planet-"

Ayami began but her sentence was cut short and her hope of not doing her job was thrown out the window.

.

Kuro and Shura was locked in an intense close quarter combat, battling across the entire planet while also destroying it due to their sheer strength.

Shura struck with an elbow, though it was blocked by Kuro's backhand which generated an unnatural repulsive force, tearing away at the already destroyed terrain.

Suddenly, Miyah had entered the battle and attempted to land a spinning top kick towards Kuro temple.

This was blocked, though before Kuro could counter, Shura was already in motion with a hook towards his liver.

It was successful.

Kuro had been forced to the side with a skid and grit of his teeth, narrowly blocking a jab from Miyah and evading a hook from Shura.

He returned the strikes by lashing out with a front kick straight to Miyah's chest, then swiftly grabbing onto Shura's arm and pulling her forward, landing a solid elbow strike to the side of her face.

Kuro then leapt back to gain some distance, though Miyah and Shura recovered quicker than he imagined and dashed forward as he leapt away.

Original Soul Art: Reality Crossroad

The very planet had been struck with a force that tore it apart on an astronomical level, leaving nothing but the vacuum of space behind and a floating Kuro.

Just as Kuro thought it was over, he was met with a twin beam of multicolored energy that sent him reeling towards another planet within the solar system.

His body burned with intensity and his skin began peeling away from the high energy blast, though he kept his composure and began reconstructing his subatomic structure as it was being ripped away.
