Kuro stated aimlessly out the window next to him that revealed the open sky, his golden eyes admired the free clouds that drifted amongst the azure atmosphere.
A subtle sigh escaped his lips.
'Mom, can I really find love?'
Kuro asked himself within the comforts of his own mind, continuing to stare out the window, lost deep within his own thoughts that has drifted like the clouds in the sky.
"--ro"
"Kuro!"
The boy in question had subtly jerked his head to the side, hearing his name being called which broke his stupor and earned his confusion.
"Huh? Yea?"
Kuro asked as he finally saw who called his name.
In front of him was a black haired girl, her eyes half-lidded in an impassive expression and her eyes matching her mysterious mood.
Her academy uniform was fitted snuggly around her slender figure, her skin seemingly soft and smooth to the eyes. Her light rosy thin colored lips were in a neutral position, yet to Kuro she was undoubtedly drop dead gorgeous.
"Die"
Once those words left her lips, Kuro glanced up at her from his seated position in extreme confusion. Though before he could ask what her intent was behind the declaration, she drew a knife from her pocket and stabbed forward with immense speed and precision.
Kuro wasted no time and threw himself backwards, forcing the seat he was in to fall backwards along with him, narrowly avoid the knife that would've pierced his throat.
Using his momentum, he preformed a reverse somersault and stood up, shooting a glare towards the black haired women.
The classroom looked on with shock at the sudden event and attempted murder.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!"
Kuro yelled out while sliding into a defensive fighting stance, his eyes focused on her every movement.
"Nothing. I've seen everything I needed to see"
The black haired girl known as Ayami stated with the same impassive expression, turning away and leaving the classroom much to Kuro's shock.
.
"So she just randomly tried to send you to the upper room?"
Kuriko asked with a raised eyebrow, his lips trembling in an attempt not to laugh at the event that transpired.
"It's not funny but yeah. Honestly, I can't say I'm mad. It was kind of hot"
Kuro proclaimed with a shrug of his shoulder, earning a befuddled expression from Kuriko at the statement.
.
Valentine's Day
Ayami stood with a calm and observant demeanor, a relaxed grip on the handle of her drawn sword that aimed towards her adversary.
In front of her was none other than Kuro, who stood with both hands in his pockets, a bored expression on his face.
"Begin!"
A shout from their teacher had initiated the mock battle, though neither had made the first move. Instead they opted to analyze each other for a few more seconds.
"A Combat Specialist"
"A Sword Specialist"
Both muttered the other's speciality under their breath, nodding in confirmation before dashing forward with insane speed, moving like a blur to the naked eye.
Both opponents met directly in the center of the field, though Ayami was slightly quicker in delivering the first attack; A triple slash.
Despite the quick succession of the attack, Kuro hands remained in his pockets and with relative ease, he evaded each strike with practiced sway of motion.
This shocked Ayami albeit subtly, leaving her open for a spinning kick delivered by Kuro, who hands still remained in his pockets.
Luckily for Ayami, she was quick enough to lift her sword and flip it to the flat side, blocking the kick with the blade which forced her to skid back a bit.
"Amazing..."
Ayami commented with a subtle sparkle in her dead eyes. This did not go unnoticed by Kuriko, who sat with the other students, spectating the mock battle.
'Don't disappoint me Kuro'
Kuriko exclaimed in his mind, applauding at the counterattack that was done with finesse.
"Thanks...I guess I'll show off a bit more then."
Kuro stated with a small grin, his sharp K-9 teeth poking out his mouth. Then he leapt forward which Ayami responded by delivering a vertical sword jab, whilst he was closing in airborne.
When everyone thought that Kuro would be impaled, he did the unthinkable and flipped himself forward with unnatural momentum.
His feet then landed on the tip of the sword, revealing his controlled lightweight which made Ayami eyes visibly widen a bit.
Then he delivered a swift kick to the side of her face, leaping off of the sword at the same time, twistinf himself midair and landing with practiced grace and finesse.
Ayami stumbled back with her sword still in hand, her vision blurred a bit until it restored and when she looked at Kuro, she realized he did all of it with his hands still in his pockets.
"Honestly you're the first to try and stunt on me like this. I find it... admirable."
Ayami exclaimed with a tone of acknowledgement rather than her usual cold impassive one.
Though before Kuro could respond, she was already in front of him, or better yet she was already behind him with her own back facing his.
Sword Art #2: Flowing Waterfall
Her speed was so unreal that she breached the boundaries of distance and time, effectively making the concepts obsolete in her presence.
Her sword already struck and she was already sheathing her weapon before reality could register the attack.
Quanti-Soul Art #10: Forced Reflection
Suddenly, Ayami feel to one in and clutched her chest in pain. Her eyes widened in visible shock at the diagonal wound appearing on her chest, while slowly glancing back at Kuro.
His hands still remained in his pockets and he didn't seemed bothered to even turn around after her attack, still remaining stationary and standing.
"So...will you be my Valentine?"
Kuro asked as he finally turned around to meet Ayami's gaze, one hand finally being removed from his pocket to reveal a singular thorned rose.
Everyone gasped in shock at the declaration, yet Kuriko held a proud smile on his face and they all waited to hear an answer from her.
"...No"
