Sally's POV
This cannot be happening. Not again.
My hand flies to my chest, pressing against the frantic hammering beneath my ribs. Ajax kneels before me, his voice shattered and raw as the words tear from his throat.
"She belongs to me."
The declaration reverberates through my skull while I stand motionless, staring at this magnificent, furious man who burst through the door like a storm and now appears to be crumbling from within.
"No," I breathe before rational thought can intervene. "This isn't... this cannot be real."
Because it simply cannot be. Not after everything.
One destined partner was overwhelming enough. Karl shattered my existence and rebuilt it with a single kiss. Then Philip blazed into my life like wildfire, carving out space in my heart where none should have existed.
I can barely manage the chaos they've created. I'm still adjusting to this impossible situation. I cannot handle another.
