However, I won't punish you today; that's The Punisher's job, not mine." Perhaps because Matt had been so fierce earlier, when he released the red-haired youth's arm, the red-haired youth was still in a daze.
He asked, somewhat absentmindedly, "So, what do you want me to do?"
Matt stood up from the floor, his White pupils hidden behind his sunglasses coldly fixed on the red-haired youth: "As you said, we'll decide the winner with pool, best two out of three. If you win, Emil and I will let you go."
Such a good deal made the red-haired youth suspicious. He asked, "What if I lose?"
The red-haired youth's eyes scanned the pool hall. The fact that Feren chose him to take over Jeffer's pool hall indicated he was quite skilled at pool.
In his opinion, unless this incredibly powerful blind man played himself, no one here would be his match.
As for Old Jeff, the only person who could consistently beat him in pool, his hands had long since been broken by the red-haired youth's men, so he couldn't possibly play now.
"Then you'll leave your right hand as compensation for the owner here." Matt didn't even raise an eyelid. He casually pointed in the direction Emil was standing and said, "As for the person you'll be playing against, it's him."
"What!" Emil was so surprised he almost spilled the orange juice he was holding all over himself. He looked at Matt, who pointed at him, and said, "Mr. Matt, are you saying you want me to play a game of pool with this red-haired youth?"
A glint of light flashed in the red-haired youth's eyes. He clutched his still-aching arm and struggled to his feet, saying, "My name is..."
"Shut up!" "I'm not interested in your name!"
Before he could finish his name, both Emil and Matt simultaneously reprimanded him.
Matt nodded, walked over to Emil, and whispered in his ear, "Do your best to bring him fear."
Emil still didn't quite understand Matt's meaning. He was a bit bewildered. Matt then added, "Perhaps you haven't realized it yourself, but I can feel that all the negative energy generated by fear from everyone here is slowly attaching itself to you. Although I don't quite understand what purpose it serves, I believe you will need it."
Could such a thing be true?
Emil hadn't felt it himself, but considering Matt, as Daredevil, had senses other than sight that were extraordinarily keen, he felt relieved.
He slowly closed his eyelids and carefully sensed it. Matt was indeed right.
This small pool hall was filled with resentment generated by fear, but most of this resentment was concentrated on the red-haired youth and his subordinates, with only a small portion being borrowed by Emil himself.
Moreover, Emil noticed that as the fear of the red-haired youth among the customers in the pool hall dissipated, the resentment attached to him also slowly waned and decreased.
Only the fear and resentment generated by the strong men Emil had personally defeated were truly absorbed by Emil.
These fear powers, after being transformed by Emil's body, turned into wisps of Yin Power and slowly integrated into his body.
However, the resentment that ordinary people could generate without the threat of death was too little, and the Yin Power that could be converted was almost nonexistent.
No wonder Emil hadn't noticed it unless he deliberately paid attention.
Compared to the Yin Power generated by Emil's death in two Worlds simultaneously, these newly generated powers were truly insignificant, like a drop in the ocean.
But Matt was right; this fear could indeed bring power to Emil.
Although not much could be generated each time, for Emil, the surprise it brought was no less than discovering he had transmigrated to another World and gained superpowers!
No one understood what this meant more than Emil himself: it meant his power had room for growth.
It wasn't static; it was power that could become stronger!
As long as he could bring fear to more people, his power growth would not encounter a bottleneck.
As for the limit of Emil's power, who could know? Perhaps only the sky, the Universe, or infinity was the ultimate extent Emil could reach!
"Alright, I'll bet with you!" With humans as the knife and I as the fish, having witnessed the formidable combat power of Matt and Emil, the red-haired youth had no other choice but to accept the wager.
Even though the conditions Matt offered him seemed to be exactly the same as the conditions he had previously offered the pool hall owner, just with the positions of the two sides reversed, he couldn't afford to worry about that now!
"I'll break!" Emil already had a plan forming in his mind. He agreed with Matt's words, proactively picked up the cue leaning against the wall, and stood at the table. It was just a pity that, despite having extraordinary superpowers, Emil's pool skills didn't seem to have improved at all.
The red-haired youth, observing Emil's grip on the cue, immediately knew he was a complete novice and grew even more confident. The outcome of this game determined whether he could escape from Matt and Emil. Under extreme tension, the red-haired youth's pool skills actually improved a notch.
The first game quickly ended, swept away by the red-haired youth's exceptional performance.
Matt sat by the pool table. Although his eyes couldn't see, he could constantly grasp the flow of the game through the extremely subtle vibrations of the table. He shook his head, surprised that Emil, a resident of Manhattan, had truly never played pool before.
He stood up, walked over to Emil, and whispered instructions in his ear.
The collision paths of all the balls on the entire table could be clearly transmitted to Matt's mind through vibrations. The cueing steps and lines formulated by this master-level expert would naturally be flawless.
And Emil's body, even without using Yin Power, was much more agile than an ordinary person's. At the very least, he could achieve absolute control over his limbs, and this alone made him superior to most people.
With Daredevil's guidance, as long as he didn't make mistakes, he would definitely be able to pocket the ball successfully. Matt could tell Emil the hitting point, angle, and the amount of force he should use before striking.
Under Matt's almost cheat-like live instruction, Emil quickly grasped the essentials of pool.
Even without using Yin Power to cheat, just by relying on his perfect control over his strength, he could easily make killing shots. Coupled with a bit of beginner's luck, he actually narrowly won a few points in the back-and-forth with the red-haired youth. Now the score was one-all, with the victory hanging on the final game.
