Chapter 33 - Gang Bang

Commander Pixis's brows were tightly furrowed, his gaze fixed on the control panel.

A 23% success rate—that number was unsettlingly low. But what worried him more was the 20% risk of a fatal blow.

"Are there any other options?" he asked in a deep voice, "Like dispersing the Dominion Fleet to evade?"

"Not recommended," the AI quickly responded. "Psykers' attacks have an extremely wide range; dispersal would only weaken our combined defensive capabilities. Furthermore..."

Red alerts suddenly flashed on the holographic projection: "Warning! Attack intensity has increased again! Estimated contact time: 47 seconds!"

Time was running out.

Pixis took a deep breath and made his decision.

"Initiate the 'Psionic Resonance' protocol! All Psykers to their positions! Simultaneously, prepare for emergency Warp jumps! If defenses fail, immediately withdraw to the real universe!"

The ship-wide broadcast immediately blared a piercing alarm: "Attention all Psykers! Proceed immediately to designated psionic amplification nodes! Repeat, proceed immediately to psionic amplification nodes!"

The Terran Dominion crew displayed astonishing discipline. These genetically modified and rigorously trained psychic warriors moved swiftly, and within a mere 30 seconds, all psionic amplification nodes were occupied.

"Psionic network construction complete!" the chief Psykers' instructor's voice came through the comms. "Resonance frequency is stable at the alpha band!"

"Enemy attack is imminent!" the AI continued to broadcast. "10-second countdown!"

Pixis stared intently at the tactical screen: "Activate defenses!"

In an instant, the entire Dominion Fleet lit up with a dazzling blue light. The power of tens of thousands of Psykers, linked through ship-borne amplifiers, formed a brilliant psionic barrier outside the existing energy shields.

The golden power armour of the Custodians also radiated dazzling light, injecting more power into the shields.

The combined strength of everyone in the entire Dominion Fleet formed a unified shield.

Nurgle's plague attack arrived as expected. Within the rolling green mist, countless twisted faces wailed in agony. When it collided with the Terran Dominion Fleet's combined defense, the Warp in that area became chaotic.

"First wave impact!" The technician's voice was hoarse with tension. "Psionic shield loss 35%! Energy shield loss 28%!"

The bridge shook violently, and Pixis had to grab a handrail to stay upright.

Through the viewport, he saw that the area outside the psionic shield had turned a sickly green, with countless plague Warp daemon furiously tearing at the defensive barrier.

Meanwhile, all the close-in defense weapons of the entire Dominion Fleet had been fully activated, continuously eliminating these so-called daemon.

The energy core was operating at full capacity, simultaneously drawing large amounts of Warp energy to strengthen its own energy shields.

The so-called Warp daemon, when destroyed by the close-in defense weapons, would also be absorbed by the energy core and then transformed into more powerful energy to support their own energy shields.

"Hold on!" The voice of the Custodian chief Psyker's instructor came through, strained but still firm. "We can hold out!"

However, the situation was deteriorating. Shield readings continued to drop, and cracks were appearing in the defenses in some areas.

"Warning! B-sector shield is about to collapse!" the AI alerted. "Recommend immediate emergency jump!"

Just at this critical moment, an unexpected change occurred.

A dazzling golden light suddenly erupted from the depths of the Warp, piercing the plague storm like a sharp sword. That light contained pure golden and pale power, and wherever it went, the chaotic plague rapidly melted away like snow meeting fire.

"This is..." Pixis watched this scene in shock.

Such powerful psionic energy left him profoundly shaken.

Within the Terran Dominion, only a select few possessed such immense psionic power.

It was an unparalleled, powerful force, capable even of crushing an entire star system with psionic energy.

While the Dominion possessed technological weapons that could achieve this, it was different if such immense power belonged to a single individual.

Even the current Terran Dominion didn't have many individuals with such terrifying psionic power, only those few top figures.

The golden light gradually condensed into a blurry humanoid outline. Although the face was unclear, it was certain that the figure was humanoid and likely human.

The rescued Dominion soldiers saluted the giant golden humanoid.

With the help of this golden giant, the Dominion Fleet successfully escaped Nurgle's attack.

Immediately after, Zeke, who was watching the daemon and orks fight on the planet, suddenly felt his consciousness leave the planet and arrive in the Warp.

the machine throne transmitted everything that had happened in space to Zeke in the form of memories.

Receiving such a massive amount of information, even after having received sufficient aristocratic elite education, Zeke was still stunned.

It wasn't until much later that a single sentence escaped his lips: "Terran Dominion..."

Ancient memories had awakened; he remembered his Terran Dominion, this behemoth that had dominated the entire galaxy after 450 years of its own development. He hadn't expected a civilization from his game to come looking for him here.

His dreams seemed not to be illusions but reality.

What he had seen in his dreams was the Terran Dominion.

The Terran Dominion, carrying 1,000 star systems, all its colonies, and a doomsday artifact, was on its way to find him.

The Dominion didn't know how much longer it would take to reach this universe, but it had already dispatched an advance Dominion Fleet, sending them here through a large amount of Warp energy.

They were here to support him.

That foolish Nurgle had harbored inappropriate thoughts about his Dominion Fleet and even struck it. If not for the Emperor's intervention, his Dominion Fleet might have already been forced out of the Warp or severely damaged.

Anger rose in Zeke's heart. Heaven knew what difficulties his people had encountered on their journey to find him.

The machine throne also opportunely used a large amount of Warp energy to create a massive psionic entity, and Zeke's consciousness was transferred to it.

Clad in golden armour, holding a golden sword, he radiated a pale, cold, yet warm light.

He became the golden giant. Immediately after, his figure crossed the Warp and appeared beside the Emperor, who at this moment also led his Warp projection before Nurgle.

Although Zeke knew that the Warp energy of this body might not sustain his extravagance for too long, he wanted to avenge his subordinates.

The Emperor sensed Zeke's arrival. He nodded at Zeke, and then both of them drew their greatswords.

The Divine War, ah, no.

It was a ganging up.

The ganging up began.

The two joined forces and delivered a righteous beating to Nurgle.
