Chapter 34 - Price

The Warp storm in the Immaterium suddenly ceased at this moment.

Golden light and pale psychic energy intertwined, forming a brilliant band of light that spanned the entire Warp.

Zeke's psychic avatar and the Emperor's projection stood side by side, two greatswords simultaneously pointing towards Nurgle's Plague Garden.

"How dare you—" Nurgle's corpulent body trembled with rage, his brass armor oozing disgusting pus, "You actually dared to stand up from the golden throne!"

His response was two streaks of sword light that tore through the Warp.

The Emperor's golden greatsword was imbued with the power of the king of Pure Darkness.

And Zeke's golden greatsword released a pale light, a light so pale yet so warm in the eyes of humanity; as the Lord of the Terran Dominion, his treatment of humanity was quite excellent.

The pale white light was a symbol of death for xenos and aliens, but for humanity, it was the path forward.

This was guidance from the Emperor.

Two distinct yet equally powerful forces simultaneously struck Nurgle's body.

"Ah ah ah!!" Nurgle let out a painful howl, his body slashed with two massive wounds, dark green pus gushing out and corroding countless tiny fissures in the Warp.

Zeke gave him no chance to breathe. The machine throne continuously supplied him with more Warp energy.

The Warp energy reserves infused by Weiss and her companions continuously flowed into Zeke's body, granting him even greater power.

His psychic avatar became increasingly solid. He raised his golden sword, and countless intricate runes appeared on its blade.

"This sword is for humanity! You must pay the price for everything you have done. This is the wrath of humanity!"

The pale sword light poured down like the Milky Way, accurately striking Nurgle's right arm.

That thick, pustule-covered arm snapped off, turning into rotting green smoke in the void.

The Emperor was not idle either.

Each swing of his golden greatsword carried the force of thunder, shattering Nurgle's plague domain.

The plague gardens floating in the Warp crumbled under the impact of his powerful psychic energy, and countless Nurgle daemon vanished in the light.

"You... will pay the price!" Nurgle roared, attempting to summon the other Chaos Gods for aid.

However, to everyone's surprise, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, and Khorne maintained an eerie silence, as if observing this unequal battle with cold detachment.

Slaanesh stared at Zeke's almost perfectly beautiful face, momentarily stunned, while Tzeentch continued to watch the situation unfold.

Now that the threads of the future had multiplied, it was undoubtedly an even greater amplification for him.

Everything was within the plan... The Lord of Change only needed change. If there was only the Emperor, the change would be minimal, but now it was different; a new God seemed to have emerged on the side of humanity.

Change is truth, and truth is always transforming.

As for Khorne, Khorne would certainly not do such a thing; he was still sitting on the brass throne.

What good would it do him to enrage two Gods from the human side? That Emperor had been sitting on the golden throne for so many years; who knew how furious he was now?

Although this was only his psychic projection, theoretically, he shouldn't have been able to stand up, but now he had indeed stood up to fight, so it was best not to provoke him.

Moreover, there were two Gods on the other side; if he charged in alone, wouldn't he just get beaten up?

He liked fighting, but he didn't like getting beaten up!

Being warlike and fighting were two different things from getting beaten up!

Zeke sneered, and the Pale Sword once again lit up with dazzling light: "Your allies don't seem very reliable."

He and the Emperor tacitly attacked at the same time.

Golden and pale beams of light intertwined into a destructive net, firmly binding Nurgle's massive body. The Plague God let out an unwilling roar but could not break free from this cage woven by two human supreme powerhouses.

What was supporting Zeke?

Naturally, it was the Warp energy provided by the Terran Dominion.

This was 60% of the Warp energy reserves of the Terran Dominion at that time; although there was a huge loss during the journey through countless universes, a portion still remained.

And this Warp energy was enough for Zeke to beat Nurgle, and even besides that, he could also take the opportunity to fight the other three.

As for why the Emperor could intervene, it was also because the machine throne spontaneously shared a portion of its energy with the Emperor, temporarily suppressing the golden throne for him.

It was precisely because of this that the Emperor could temporarily stand up and have some fun.

Although this time could not be too long.

After all, the survival of humanity rested on him, but for now, beating Nurgle to vent some anger was good.

With the anger of sitting on the golden throne for over 10,000 years, the Emperor fiercely beat Nurgle.

Zeke also continuously attacked Nurgle. Although both knew it was impossible to directly annihilate this Chaos God, it was still possible to beat him to vent some anger.

After the two had fought for a long time in a mixed doubles match, the Emperor and Zeke simultaneously threw a holy fire into Nurgle's Garden.

Blazing flames burned, and then the two disappeared from the spot.

Nurgle's Garden was burned again.

Among the four Chaos Gods, the only one who got beaten today appeared.

Regardless of how heartbroken Nurgle was, Zeke and the Emperor simultaneously appeared on the machine throne. After seeing Zeke's machine throne, the Emperor looked at Zeke with sympathy.

Good heavens, he didn't expect that the top powerhouse who suddenly emerged from his side also had to sit on this... He had originally thought about whether he could bring him over to help him sit on the golden throne and suppress the problem of becoming a god, so that he could also stand up and have some fun like today, but he didn't expect this colleague to also need to sit on something.

The Emperor gave Zeke a look of shared suffering, and Zeke's mouth twitched.

Is this the legendary Emperor?

Seeing him in person was indeed different from seeing him in an Ecclesiarchy church. Zeke didn't pay attention to what strange thoughts the golden big guy was having; instead, he also sized up the other party.

However, after looking and looking, Zeke finally withdrew his gaze. To be honest, this period of time had been a bit too outrageous.

Who still remembered that his main purpose for coming out was to find some orks to fight and practice his knight titan piloting skills?

What had it all become now? First, fighting orks, then fighting chaos, then orks popping up and fighting chaos, and then fleet battles.

Immediately after, the Terran Dominion's fleet also came here and fought a round with Nurgle Fleet in the Warp.

After that, the Emperor came out to protect his fleet, and he also received the blessing from his Terran Dominion, and then he teamed up with the Emperor to beat Nurgle.

The experiences during this period were truly thrilling. If he were to tell of his achievements, he should at least be awarded a Star of Terra, right?

The Emperor was unaware of the wild thoughts in Zeke's mind.

He only knew that he had to go back. The seal on the golden throne was stirring again, and he had to sit back down, otherwise he would become a Chaos God.

The Emperor finally bid Zeke farewell and disappeared from his sight, while Zeke glanced at the machine throne and likewise dissolved his massive psychic entity.

Warp energy was running low; he had to conserve it, otherwise it would be troublesome if he wanted to fight Khorne or Tzeentch next time.

And in all likelihood, he would also have to deal with Slaanesh's problem.

Slaanesh gave Zeke a rather unpleasant feeling; he always felt that guy was thinking something impolite, and he would have to find time to beat him up too, sooner or later.

But none of this was urgent; all he had to do was wait and expand his power as much as possible.

The day the main fleet of the Terran Dominion arrived, he would drag out and beat every daemon in the Warp.

He could even still do what he hadn't done before: drain the entire Warp.

Of course, the Dominion was still too far away from him. Who knew how long it would take to arrive after jumping through so many universes in between? Therefore, Zeke still had to expand his own forces.

This was called being prepared on both fronts.
