Since this cruiser was not equipped with a jump drive, Zeke had no choice but to enter the Warp.
Short-distance Warp travel was no problem for Zeke, and soon the fleet entered the Warp.
The Imperium of Man's travel through the Warp doesn't rely on detection equipment or sensors; they rely on Psykers to observe the Astronomican emitted by the master of mankind, who sits on the Golden Throne.
The warship slowly entered the Warp, and the Geller Field was activated. The purpose of the Geller Field is simple: to create an environment within the Warp that is similar to that of the material universe.
To some extent, this thing is a life-saving charm for warships in the Warp; otherwise, a large number of chaos daemon would enter the fleet.
However, for Zeke's fleet, Warp daemon seemed to be nothing at all.
How could those Space Marines and Custodes fear these so-called Warp daemon? Even if the Geller Field was turned off, daemon charging at them would be meaningless.
After Zeke's Gene Modification, even these ordinary Navy personnel had their resistance to chaos greatly enhanced. While not enough to completely ignore it, the influence of chaos on them was weakened to a negligible degree.
Moreover, where was this?
This was the Warp.
Immediately upon entering the Warp, Zeke felt a large amount of Warp energy surging into his body, and even the protection of the Geller Field was meaningless.
Warp energy continued to pour into his body without end.
Unlike others who might be corrupted by chaos if they encountered this, Zeke could clearly feel that these Warp energies were very docile.
Their presence was continuously solidifying Zeke's own power, albeit at an extremely slow rate, but it did indeed cause Zeke's psychic power to begin to increase significantly.
As for the so-called corruption?
As the sixth Chaos God of the Warp(along with the God Emperor being the fifth), chaos corruption was a huge joke to him.
At the same time, his mere appearance, even a wisp of his aura, directly intimidated all the surrounding Warp daemon, causing them to flee in all directions.
This was the aura of a supreme Chaos God in the Warp; how could they be willing to approach it?
The fleet's journey through the Warp could be described as remarkably smooth.
Even though this was only a short-distance Warp journey, the Navy personnel still felt it was smooth during this trip.
Such a smooth Warp journey was truly rare, especially for the navigators guiding the way.
They had never felt the master of mankind's Astronomican so distinctly, nor his blessing so effective as it was today, as if he were right before their eyes, dispelling all threats of chaos.
This gave them an illusion, as if the master of mankind was right beside them, protecting them.
There is no concept of time in the Warp; sometimes ten years can pass in the Warp, and you might return to the real world to find only a day has passed, but other times only a few hours in the Warp can mean one or two months have actually passed.
Just as the cruiser continued to advance, several warships appeared in front of it.
Immediately after, quantum communication was directly connected to the interior of the strike cruiser.
"Warning! Unknown fleet signal detected!" The bridge's alarm system suddenly blared, and several unfamiliar identifiers flashed on the tactical holographic display.
Just as the Navy personnel on the warship tensed up, Zeke calmly stated, "Connect the communication; it's our people."
As soon as the navigation connected, an officer in a Dominion single-headed eagle uniform appeared on the display screen.
"Hail, master of mankind!"
"We have finally found you!"
"With your return, humanity is destined to achieve its manifest destiny!"
The moment these four words appeared, all the Navy officers and enlisted personnel on the warship were dumbfounded, and even the troops on other transport ships were equally stunned.
This was such a massive shock that they were somewhat unable to recover.
Master of mankind?
If they hadn't misheard, the officer on the other side seemed to have shouted "master of mankind," right?
The bridge was utterly silent. All the Navy officers and enlisted personnel froze in place, their gazes shifting back and forth between Zeke and the holographic projection.
Was their superior an heretic? Otherwise, why would they be called the master of mankind?
In that instant, their Gene Modification-enhanced brains and their long-held beliefs clashed violently.
It was clear that their long-held beliefs could not possibly compare to the power of technology, so they quickly returned to normal. master of mankind is master of mankind, anyway, he is their superior.
This was the main reason why Zeke did not directly choose to appear before the Imperium of Man, because he is the master of mankind.
But the problem is that there is also a master of mankind in this world, and he is also the master of mankind. If he foolishly appeared before the Imperium of Man, it would probably lead directly to a human civil war.
The Emperor certainly wouldn't want to fight him, but those fanatical guys in the Imperium of Man, that's another story.
After all, he was educated by the Imperium of Man. He naturally knew how insane the Imperium of Man truly was.
Although he wouldn't be afraid if a fight truly broke out, and the Imperium of Man would ultimately be crushed into dust by him, it was unclear how many humans would die in the process.
This was completely unnecessary behavior; there was no need to do this.
After all four Chaos Gods were subdued, and the Emperor was pulled off the Golden Throne, he would then take over the entire Imperium of Man.
Let the Emperor and his sons live their pastoral life on the Gaia planet; he would surely be very happy.
And the Imperium of Man claims to have one million colonies. How can you bring all these colonies back under the control of the Terran Dominion?
Isn't this just creating work for the Dominion?
These one million colonies are just a rough estimate; even the Department of the Interior probably doesn't know how many habitable planets the Imperium of Man actually has.
It's not that the Dominion can't defeat the Imperium of Man; it would be very easy for the Dominion's main force to defeat the Imperium of Man, but the galaxy in this universe is a bit too large.
To bring the entire galaxy under human rule, there are simply too many things humanity needs to do. There's no need; let's just leave it as it is for now.
Zeke did not look at the reactions of those around him; instead, he opened his mouth and asked,
"How is it? Has your fleet, upon entering the Warp, found any traces of the Chaos Fleet or Abaddon's fleet?"
The Dominion officer in the holographic projection immediately straightened his back, and data streams flashed rapidly across the holographic quantum panel.
"Reporting, Your Majesty, the Seventh Reconnaissance Fleet has patrolled in the Warp for 37 standard days and successfully located the coordinates of the Black Legion's main fleet!"
He waved his hand, bringing up a holographic star map, on which several crimson signal points were marked: "Abaddon's 'Spirit of Vengeance' and its escort fleet are currently located near the Cadia Gate on the edge of the Eye of Terror. Based on energy readings, they are currently massing forces, suspected of preparing to launch a new round of the so-called Black Crusade."
All the terminology in this universe was taught to them by their own master of mankind, so they still chose to speak as the Emperor taught them.
The stellaris technology showed signs, and even just Zeke's mid-game fleet still saw through Abaddon before he could even react.
After all, in the mid-game, Zeke had already unlocked all technologies. For him, the only regret was that the number of cyclical technologies at that time was not large.
The Imperial Navy officers on the bridge gasped.
Black Crusade—this name, which struck fear into the entire Imperium, was spoken so lightly by these strangers before them.
What shocked them even more was that Zeke's reaction was even more unexpected.
"That's enough. Leave some reconnaissance units here to continue monitoring their every move. The rest, withdraw from the Warp."
"Remember not to alert the enemy. If the fleet suffers losses, there's no way to repair them here. We need to focus on development."
