Chapter 37 - Hail

Zeke left the area and returned to his strike cruiser.

The moment his figure appeared on the strike cruiser, the naval officers on board saluted him.

This was the first time these retired Imperial Navy personnel had gone into battle.

Such powerful strike cruisers made the Khornate cruisers of the same class seem like mere pigs and dogs to be slaughtered.

Such joyful and smooth combat made them feel that they had not followed the wrong person, or rather, they would die without regrets.

In that daze, they seemed to understand why the orks enjoyed fighting so much.

If they could continue fighting chaos like this in the future, they would also find it exhilarating.

"Return to base. We can go back now. Once we're back, you can undergo a new round of enhancements. Your combat strength is too weak."

Zeke's words echoed in the ears of the naval officers and crew. Hearing the phrase, "Your combat strength is too weak," these naval soldiers showed no dissatisfaction; instead, a glint flashed in their eyes.

Finally, had it finally come to their turn for gene-modifying treatment?

They didn't aspire to become Space Marines as powerful as the Astartes, but the benefits of gene modification were evident, naturally making everyone eager for it.

The naval crew on the battleship became more energetic, while Zeke alone looked at these invigorated crew members with a touch of melancholy.

After knowing that he was the Emperor of the Terran Dominion, Zeke's feelings were completely different.

The Dominion's fleet was about to arrive, and until the Dominion's homeworld ascended, the entire Terran Dominion had no land of its own.

Zeke was unclear about the price and hardships the entire Terran Dominion had paid and endured in the process of searching for him. He didn't know, but this didn't stop him from wanting to do something for his civilization.

All the territories of the Terran Dominion combined amounted to only a mere 1,000 star systems. This territory was too small; compared to the Warhammer Imperium, it was like heaven and earth.

Zeke suddenly wondered if he could also claim some land in this galaxy, wipe out some xenos, and use their territories as the best gift for the Terran Dominion's arrival in this universe.

He wanted to plant the seeds.

Zeke was thinking this on his way back, until his strike cruiser, transporting his personal guard, returned to his asteroid base.

When the transport ship placed them back on the asteroid base, and Da Zeke walked back into his asteroid base, a never-before-felt sense of relaxation suddenly came over him.

This was the unique sense of relief after the end of a war, but after this feeling of relaxation appeared for only a few minutes, Zeke became busy again.

All those naval soldiers must undergo gene modification.

This would ensure their loyalty.

Before long, he would need to find his Dominion fleet.

Of course, he could also directly order the Dominion fleet to warp to his location, but doing so would be somewhat problematic.

The star system had just experienced a major battle. If he were to order the Dominion fleet to warp over now,

with the Dominion's special warships, the Imperium's already tense nerves would undoubtedly be triggered again.

He had, after all, fought alongside the Emperor, and the Emperor had fulfilled his duty to protect humanity.

And he himself had been protected by the Emperor when he was born, so it was probably better not to clash with the Imperium for now.

Zeke would absolutely not admit that it was because his current Dominion fleet's combat power was not strong enough.

He didn't even have an industrial base. Once a warship was damaged, he couldn't even afford to repair it, let alone replace the losses.

Compared to the small fleet that would arrive next, that fleet of such a small scale, plus the vast number of ships in the Imperium, Zeke still chose to be cautious.

The blame lay with the distorted technological development of the Warhammer world.

Even if he had STC templates, what good would it do?

You need equipment that can utilize the technology, otherwise, it's like a primitive man holding a nuclear bomb and being unable to detonate it.

At most, he could treat the nuclear bomb as a large iron lump and look at it; as for anything more, that was out of the question.

He needed to find a place to first lay the foundation for an interstellar civilization using the people who came this time and the talent on the warships.

Anyway, the Terran Dominion's army that warped over this time still possessed advanced AI entities.

So he could use these robots to find a secluded planet and start developing his industrial base.

He was truly fed up with the distorted technology of the Warhammer world. He really wanted something but couldn't get it; he wanted to do something but couldn't accomplish it!

Looking at each technology in his STC template, he could only continuously understand, learn, and then downgrade it. If you didn't downgrade it, you really couldn't build it.

Moreover, more often than not, even if you downgraded it to the lowest possible level, you still couldn't manufacture it.

Zeke began to perform gene modifications on the soldiers of his strike cruisers.

Fortunately, during his time away, he had managed to produce some robots, so he didn't have to do everything by hand anymore.

Just as he finished the gene modification of the last naval soldier, a quantum communication arrived in his communicator.

Immediately after, the scene before him changed. This was technology from the Dominion.

In the remote quantum communication, Zeke saw all the Dominion naval soldiers who had come this time kneeling in his direction.

Zeke saw his Custodian Guard; they also knelt on one knee in Zeke's direction.

"Hail, Emperor!"

Although this was just a quantum communication scene, Zeke still felt the powerful aura.

The Dominion's quantum communication technology was quite powerful; they could achieve seamless, real-time communication across the entire universe.

This meant that even though Zeke only saw a quantum communication scene, the soldiers' imposing aura was completely transmitted through the electronic communication.

"Pixis, Commander of the Dominion Expeditionary Vanguard Fleet, Homeland Servants Fleet, and Special Deployment Fleet, greets the Emperor."

"Hmm," Zeke nodded slightly.

"The fleet should not come to my current location yet. Find a void and stay there; I will come to you."

"This part of the universe is very dangerous, so proceed with caution, understand?"

Commander Pixis's holographic image bowed slightly, his right hand over his chest in a salute: "Understood, Emperor. The fleet will remain concealed and on standby in the void belt at the edge of the Calis star system."

His image flickered slightly, seemingly receiving new data, then he continued: "However, Emperor, our probes have detected some anomalies."

"The local star system's warp space is very unstable. It seems that some warp entity is about to emerge. Please allow us, Emperor, to enter the local star system's warp space to investigate and eliminate the threat."

"You may," Zeke agreed to their request and allowed them to dispatch a fleet.

The warp problem still needed to be addressed.

It was probably Abbadon causing trouble again.

If it were the other Chaos Gods acting up, it wouldn't matter; he could just drag the Emperor along and beat them up again.

He believed the Emperor would probably be eager to get off that throne and stir up some trouble again.
