A blue haired tall woman with an extremely curvy shaped and tattoos all over her skin walked in.
"Madam", all the men dressed in black immediately bowed down to her.
"Where's the big boss?", she turned to her subordinates, her voice soft yet filled with toughness.
"He's on the last floor", the leader responded politely.
Mira Song waved at the subordinates to leave and then headed upstairs to find her master. She was the second in command of her master and his most trusted subordinate.
"You're here", Alexander's eyebrows lifted slightly. He had to admit that Mira had really impressed him. It was just thirty minutes ago yet she had already fulfilled the mission.
"Sorry for the late arrival. I had to deal with a few minions", Mira lowered her head as a sign of respect.
*splash!*
Mira frowned a little when she heard the splashing of water. Was her master taking care of someone else?
Anyways that was not part of her business so there was no problem.
A subordinate walked in and greeted both Alexander Kim and Mira before asking Alexander a question.
Mira had nothing else to talk about with her master so she turned to leave.
"Boss, should we take lady Lim out or should we leave her to die?"
Mira immediately paused in her footsteps when she heard a familiar name. Lim? Could it be the Lim she knew? And that Lim had been captured by the boss and was currently drowning in the pool?
Mira Song immediately rushed forward and jumped from the last floor of the five storey building straight into the pool.
She immediately swam down and there and behold was her friend, Lim Yueling.
Mira immediately grabbed her and swam to the surface, she carried Lim Yueling in her arms and made her way back into the building.
Alexander Kim's grasped the glass so hard that it broke and shattered into pieces in his palms causing blood to drip from the cuts.
"Boss you are bleeding!", said the subordinate.
Alexander however did not react to those words and said icily, "Bring Mira to me immediately!"
Mira took Lim Yueling to a room and locked the door. She realised Lim Yueling was not breathing and performed CPR on her until she felt her pulse. She then turned her to lie on her side to ensure her breathing was rapid.
This mansion was not the permanent residence of her master. He only came here when a job was to be done or when he had an announcement to make to his subordinates.
She removed Lim Yueling's wet clothes and covered her in a thick blanket since there was not a spare dress around.
Mira heated some hot water and started warming Lim Yueling's body with it when she heard loud knocking on the door.
*knock!knock!*
"Madam, Master wants to see you immediately!"
Mira gritted her teeth, she could not hide from Alexander even if she managed to escape from this mansion. She had no other choice but to face the consequences of her actions.
She hoped that as she was gone these men would not harm her friend.
Mira Song took one last look at Lim Yueling before unlocking the door and walked out.
Alexander glanced coldly at his second in command who was kneeling on the floor.
"What does she being your childhood best friend have to do with me?", Alexander sneered coldly, his devilish smile displayed on his handsome face.
The other men standing behind could feel that the temperature around had dropped to freezing point.
"Master I can bet on my life that she's not going to rat us out! She's my person", Said Mira. There was no look of fear or nervousness on her.
The only person she was currently worried about was Lim Yueling.
Alexander pulled out a gun and pointed it at Mira.
"Boss!", one of the underlings shouted, afraid that their big boss was actually going to kill Mira.
They could kill others heartlessly but they could not bear to kill their colleagues unless betrayal was involved.
*bang!*
Alexander pulled the trigger and loud sound rang through the place.
Mira hissed loudly when the bullet hit her in the shoulder.
"Your life's on the line, if she betrays us then you're both as good as dead!", Alexander threw the gun away and walked away.
"Miss Song!"
"Madam!"
The men rushed over to help their leader stand up.
"Don't touch me. I can stand on my own!", Mira stood up and walked away with blood dripping from her wound.
Two hours later...
Cha Min was almost going berserk after searching for Lim Yueling for more than two hours now.
She had called him with a number she rarely used which meant that something must have come up.
He had sent out all of his men yet he had still not received any good news. If she had been kidnapped then why had her kidnappers not called yet?
The next day...
Lim Yueling's eyelashes fluttered for a little while.
Mira Song who was dozing off by the bedside was immediately awoken by the small movements.
"Lim Yueling...are you okay?", Mira bent over and placed her palm on Lim Yueling's forehead to check her temperature.
Lim Yueling's eyes open and Mira saw those green emerald eyes she had been longing to see.
Lim Yueling's eyes fell upon the familiar face she had not seen for almost two years now.
"Mira?", Lim Yueling sat up against the pillow with the help of Mira.
She could not believe her eyes, how was it possible that the person standing before her was Mira. The last thing she remembered was...the water! She...she was drowning!
"The water!", Lim Yueling moved back causing her head to hit the bed. Tiny beads of sweat had started to form on her forehead and she was trembling profusely.
"It's fine...", Mira embraced Lim Yueling and tried to comfort her.
Lim Yueling struggled for a while before she managed to calm down.
"It's okay...you are okay. You are safe now", Mira patted Lim Yueling gently on the back.
"Mira you...", Lim Yueling scrutinised Mira and could see the great change on her compared to the last time they met.
There were tattoos all over her skin and she could tell the hidden meaning behind it.
"You're in love with someone!", Lim Yueling let out a soft laughter.
"You're saying nonsense because you're not in your right senses!", Mira looked away as she blushed.
"Wow you're blushing!", Lim Yueling couldn't hold back her laughter, "I've never seen you blush!", Lim Yueling started to tickle Mira.
"Stop it!", Mira struggled out of Lim Yueling's hands.
"Ouch!", Lim Yueling hissed when her head hit the wall after being pushed away by her friend.
She then noticed the bandage on Mira's shoulder and could guess what had happened.
"It's a gunshot wound, isn't it?", Lim Yueling asked.
Mira did not dare to look her in the eye and responded with a nod.
"Did he do that to you?", Lim Yueling clenched her tiny fingers into a fist.
"Who?", Mira covered the wound with her other hands, pretending to not know what her friend was talking about.
"Don't f*cking pretend you do not know who I'm talking about!", Lim Yueling angrily stood up from the bed and punched the wall.
"You...", Mira immediately stood up and felt a sharp pain in her heart when she saw blood dripping from her friend's hand, "You're bleeding!"
Mira immediately rushed to a desk not too far away, pulled out the drawer and took a first aid box.
"Since when have you been working for him?", Lim Yueling asked.
"I'll answer your questions if you sit down on the bed and let me dress your wound!", Said Mira.
Lim Yueling had no other choice but to compromise. Honestly speaking, this pain was nothing compared to what she had experienced in her past years.
"I started working for him not too long after I met you ", Mira replied after she was done dressing the wound.
"I have to leave!", Lim Yueling stood up and made her way towards the door.
"Wait!", Mira grabbed her by the shoulder, "You are still weak"
"And you are not a doctor ", Lim Yueling replied then pushed Mira's hand away gently.
"At least let me accompany you outside ", Mira proposed.
Lim Yueling did not say a word so Mira followed behind her quietly.
Mira stopped a cab for Lim Yueling and opened the door for her. Lim Yueling got in and closed the door without saying a word to Mira.
"Roses", Mira called Lim Yueling by her English name for the first time in a long time, she held the cab window and leaned closer, "It's not what you think. I never betrayed you "
"Don't ever call me by that name ", Lim Yueling's eyes turned cold for a second then returned to normal.
She emotionlessly glanced at the driver, "Let's go", she said.
Mira sighed sadly as she watched the cab drive away and then disappear from her sight.
She had been hiding from Lim Yueling for almost two years now but who would have thought that fate was going to unite them in through an unexpected event.
Aside from Alexander, the only person she trusted and considered a friend was Lim Yueling.
"Madam, big boss wants to meet you immediately ", a subordinate announced from behind.
Alexander wanted to meet her? What for?
