The next morning Susan was at home, preparing for work.She was just coming back from the hospital yesterday after visiting her mother who was almost dead.Her mother's eyes were totally closed and she was unconscious.It was yesterday that another surgery was performed after when Daniel sent money to Susan for her surgery.Susan left after paying for the surgery while her sisters stayed with mother.
Susan woke up this morning to prepare for work,Her clothes have been worn,she was about to put on her corporate shoes when her mother Sarah walked into the house looking so slim,weak, emaciated and wrinkled in appearance.Mirabel was the one that was holding her .She had being discharged from the hospital.As her mother entered the house she saw Susan preparing for work.
"Good morning mommy,how are you"her face was full of smiles,tears of love almost came out of her eyes.
She walked to quickly hugged their mother
"S....st...stop right there you fool,you think I have not heard that you have been sleeping with Daniel"Her mother said to Susan as she was shaking in pain and anger.Tears began to drop from her eyes.
"No mom,it's not true,I have not had sex with Daniel before not even for once".She looked confused as she struggled to hide the truth.
"Daniel is just like his father,he might pretend to love you but deep in his mind he will never marry you,he will keep having sex with you,leave that company and find another job Susan"
The sentence Sarah made struck Susan"Daniel is just like his father, Daniel can decieve her by pretending to love her so that he can keep sleeping with her"but she tried to doubt it.
Susan knew that the reason why she pretends to love Daniel was to take revenge on Fred and Elizabeth but her mother is hurt because Daniel"s late father maltreated her when she was working for him simply because she refused to have sex with him.
Susan never knew that it is her sister mirabell who is jealous about susan's relationship with Daniel that told her mother all the things she knew.She wanted their mothers hatred to make Susan to leave Daniel alone so that she can have Daniel all to herself.
"Where did you think you are going now"sarah who is Susan's mother asked in annoyance.
"I am going to work now,I am almost late"Susan replied.
"Who is the owner of the company where you work"Sarah asked.
Susan paused for one seconds to quickly think who is behind all this,she knew that is was someone she knows that is feeding her mother with all manner of information.But she was not sure of the person.She taught of lieing to her mother but she knew that someone might have told her the truth already with some evidence.
"It's Alexander Daniel's"her face was as hard as stone was she was replying her mother.
"Wow,so it's true,you work with the son of that bastard boss of mine"her eyes were wide open in anger and surprise.
"Mom nothing is going on,I am just a worker there and there is nothing more"
"Susan you have brought shame and disgrace to this family from the news I have been hearing.I hear you have sex with the boss"
"Mom,stop listening to gossips,they are not true.right now you need to rest so I can go to work "
As Susan was speaking she wanted to use one of her hand to touch the cheek of her mom.
"Don't you dare touch me you harlot"Sarah spoke to Susan.
"What,mom you call me a harlot?,mom I took care of this family as the senior sister,I paid money for the two surgeries you did in the hospital yet you stand before me to call me a harlot.I am leaving this house and I am not coming back again"tears of pain dropped from her eyes,her eyes became reddish.
She quickly went inside her room to pack all her clothes.
As she left the sitting room to her room to pack her things,Her sister spoke to her mother silently."Mom,she is lieing,she is sleeping with Daniel"
"I know she is lie, stupid girl"
After 2 minutes,Susan came out with her bags and was ready to leave the house.As she was going towards the door to leave she had a sign of vomit and she quickly ran to the sink in the bathroom to vomit.After vomiting she was coming out of the bathroom when she over heard her mother saying"She is pregnant for Daniel already,I am doomed in shame.She is such a stupid girl"
As she walked to the sitting room her mom struggled to stand up from the chair andsaid to her
"So you are finally pregnant?"She was looking at her as more tears came out of her eyes,her body was shaking as she was crying.
Susan looked at her mother,she was feeling bad for being called a harlot and for being accused of being pregnant but her heart was filled with compassion and sympathy for what her mother is going through.
"Mom,I am not pregnant,I am sick".
"Come here let me check you to know if it's true"her mom replied as she doubted her.
Susan walked towards the door,opened the door and left the house with all her things.
That day she went to her friend's house whose name was Vivian to drop her things before going to work.
Susan was angry because she is pregnant for Daniel and she never planned to be pregnant for him.She was also angry because she feels Daniel never really loved her.What her mother said about Daniel and his father made her to think Daniel is pretending.
When she got to work her eyes were still a bit swollen.She did greet anybody except Daniel who looked at her face and said to her
"Good morning babe, you look said,it's anything the problem"
"No, please Daniel I will like to be alone for now"Susan replied.
"Why do you want to be alone,tell me what the problem is"
"Thank you,but I want to be alone ".
That day at the office Daniel was worried.He loves Susan.He called Susan to the office again and asked
"Darling,you are getting me more nervous,I can't even eat, tell me what the problem is"his face was covered with concern and worries.
Susan looked at him phycologically, Daniel's facial appearance made her to doubt what her mother said about Daniel.
