Susan felt like knowing if Daniel really loves her or if he is trying to decieve her."Daniel,you said you love me,why haven't you introduce me to anyone in your family ". Susan's face was looking curious.
"Is that why you are angry?,Susan my family have not accepted you yet.They want me to marry Veronica because she is a family friend and she is from a rich home,but I have vowed to marry you even if they don't accept you"Daniel replied with great confidence.
"Hmm, Alright but I still want to be alone for sometime to think "Susan was still looking sad because of what happened at home and because she is pregnant for Daniel.
Daniel stood up slowly from his chair and said "Can I take you out today ,I want us to go out for lunch so that you can be happy again,I don't want you to be sad"
"Daniel not today"
"Alright,Susan you are so beautiful,ever since you came into my life i have been motivated to become a better person.My company have grown to become bigger because of your consistent replying of customer's emails and contribution of outstanding ideas to the board whenever we are having meetings".
"Thank you so much "Susan could not help but smile at the sweet compliment.
"You don't need to thank me,it's my duty.When I noticed that you have the ability and experience for business I told the board that they should make sure you attend the board meetings so that you can use your genuine business idea to teach people and promote the company growth.Did you learn business from your parents or anybody?"
"No,why did you ask?"
"Because you come out with ideas that are extremely outstanding "
"I appreciate your compliment "
"Look,I am not flattering you, everything I am saying about you are true"
"Alright "Susan stood up from her sitting position as she slowly walked up to Daniel to sit on his lap.
"So today I will be increasing your salary to 300 thousand dollars monthly and I also plan that I will change your position in the company when the time comes"Daniel spoke with seriousness and honesty.
"Wow,I can't believe what is happening,you mean I am now earning 300 thousand dollars? thank you"
"You don't need to thank me, you deserve it".
"Alright,I packed all my belongings and left my house because mum is accusing me of sleeping with you.I am now living with my friend Vivian"her face became so sad as she remembered the pain she went through in her mother's house.
"What,I am so sorry for what happened,look you can come and live with me for as long as you wish"Daniel used one of his hand to gently rub Susan's long hair.
"Hahaha,don't worry,now that you have incre my salary,I will get a new apartment"Susan forced a smile.
"It's okay,but if you are not able to get a good apartment just remember that mine is always available "Daniel used is fingers to rub her soft cheek.
"Daniel I have heard what you said"she smiled.
Immediately there was a knock on the door.
"who is at the door"
"It's James,your brother Fred wants to see you"
"Alright,let him come in"Daniel replied.
Susan got angry inside of her because she hated seeing Fred.
When fred came in he saw Susan sitting on Daniel's lap in the office,they were both smiling at each other.
Susan stood up and was going back to her office.As she was going Fred turned and said
"Susan,I will love to talk to you later,it's something serious"
Fred was dressed in a beautiful blue T shirt and a black jean.His hair was darkened into black Jerry coil.He tried to look very handsome for Susan because he wanted Susan back into his life.
Susan looked at him in anger and replied "when you are ready to talk to me,make it snappy and don't waste my time because I am very busy".she walked away and slammed the door In anger.
Daniel looked at Fred,at that moment Fred looked like a cheat to Daniel.
"I hope you know that the woman that just passed now is my girlfriend and you have no business with her by any means"Daniel raised his voice at Fred.
"Yes I know,I just wanted to talk to her as a friend".
"So why are you here"
"I came here so that we can talk about my boutique business,you no longer give me money to reinvest in the business.Even my wedding plans that you promised to sponsor you decided to stop it.why"Fred was asking
"Because you are lazy and wasteful.All the money that I have been sending to you since all these years what have you done with them?"Daniel asked
"Don't worry,that was in the past,I am a changed person now".
"Changed person indeed.I will not give you any money again, please if you don't have anything to say then you can leave my office "
Fred got very angry and said"i know it's because of Susan,she has changed your mind "
"Susan have not changed my mind,she only made me to realize the mistake I was making "
"Susan was my girlfriend before and I know what she can do,one day I will get her back "Fred spoke with regret of losing Susan to his senior brother.
"What?,did you just say that Susan was your former girlfriend and you want to get her back?,let this be the last time you will say this.Susan is mine forever and we are planning on leaving in the same apartment when the time comes"
Immediately Fred felt a heavy shock of pain, hurt, surprise and shame.His world was crumbling more and more as Susan is leaving him more and more by becoming more intimate with Daniel.
