Clover woke up in her new room, feeling eccentric as ever. Becca hadn't moved into the bedroom with her yet, so she had the huge bed to herself.
Her moment of peace was interrupted by a knock on the door. She could tell it was Levi without needing to check.
"It's open." She shouted and almost immediately the door was pushed open.
"You're up late." Levi stated. Opening the window for her to see that the day had gone far already.
"I'm so sorry." She rushed out of bed and went straight to the wardrobe.
"You have 30 minutes. Becca has made breakfast already." After saying that he walked out of the room to allow her prepare.
.
.
In less than 30 minutes later, Clover had arrived in the dining room.
"Sorry." She apologized as soon as she saw Levi, who was just leisurely eating the fluffy pancakes Becca had made.
"It's alright. It's not that late." Clover took a seat at the dining table and then carried her share that Becca had kept for her.
"It's just that, I have to be at work by 12 and I want to make sure everything is done by then. So, the earlier the better." Clover didn't say a word and rushed to finish her breakfast.
"Becca!" Clover called out as soon as Becca came towards the dining.
"Yeah?" She took a seat at the dining and started eating her breakfast.
"Where's Reggie?" Clover asked, but that wasn't her initial question.
"Reggie left quite early. He went to help Old Miller that's just a few blocks from here with some work. Mr. Miller has two sons but the younger one died while serving in the military and the older one moved to California."
"Ohhh... That's really nice."
"Yeah. Mr. Miller is quite generous, whenever Reggie helps him out he gives him a lot of money."
"Well... That wasn't my initial question, I want to know when you will move into the room." Levi got up and was about to pack his dishes but Becca did a gesture that said she would take care of it.
"On Monday." She replied.
"Alright." Clover was almost done with her breakfast.
"When you're done you can leave, I'll take care of it." Becca said, having notice that Clover was almost done with her food.
"Thank you so much. Your food taste very nice." Clover said with a smile
"Gracias." Becca smiled back.
After she was done, Clover rushed out of her seat and went straight outside, where Levi was waiting for her.
She was a little surprised to see him with a car.
"It's not much, but this will help us get to our destination faster. Hop on!" Clover took it as her cue and sat in the passenger seat.
After the engine made a weird noise, they drove out.
.
.
Levi took her to a clinic rather than a hospital to do the scan.
"Let's go." He turned off the car after parking.
"I thought we were going to a hospital."
"We just need a scan. You're not going to see a doctor."
"Alright then." They both came out of the car then walked into the clinic.
"Hey, Carrie!" It seemed like he was familiar with the proposed receptionist in the clinic.
"How are you doing, Levi?!" She smiled the moment she laid eyes on him.
"I was a little surprised when you said you needed my help. Anyways... Who do we have here?" She seemed like a talkative person or preferably speaking, a chatterbox.
"This is a relative of mine that has come to live with me." Knowing Levi, who was a man of few words, she didn't ask further questions again.
"What's your name?" Carrie asked, since Levi had left the introduction part out.
"Clover."
"Nice meeting you, Clover. Well... This place serves as a multipurpose clinic, so the abortion will be carried out here also." She left the counter and stood with them.
"Follow me." She started walking, but stopped to say something.
"Levi, you can wait in the reception area. Don't worry too much, I'll take good care of her." Levi didn't say a word and just did as she said but he was actually really worried.
"Stay strong." He said before Clover went away with Carrie.
Although, he wasn't someone you would call a churchy type but from time to time he always prayed silently in his heart and this was one of those times.
After the ultrasound scan, it showed that the baby was 3 months and 3weeks.
Carrie finally invited him to where Clover was to discuss the most ideal method of abortion.
"The baby is about 3 months and 3weeks, which the most preferable method of abortion would be the abortion pill. It's not that far gone, so surgery would be a little too much."
"Alright then." He agreed.
"So... Here's the kit. It contains a lot of things which I would take my time to explain to the both of you." She brought a medium sized box and dropped it in front of them.
"There is the instruction manual, but I'll still take my time to explain in case you don't understand anything. You can call me anytime, I'm here to help. And Clover..." She looked at her in a sympathetic manner. It's going to hurt a lot, but there are some pain killers to relief the pain.
"You just have to be strong." Carrie said.
After taking her time to explain the entire procedure for them, they went back home.
During the time Clover was going through the whole process... Levi never left her side and after 3 weeks, she was completely fine.
