After killing the first group of 4 goblins they headed to the next wich had 3 and Krasbert easily took care of them.
Then came the next group of 4 and the same happened.
Now there was just one left. The group of 5 with a level 2 goblin. But again, Krasbert killed them all in under a minute.
'Krasbert really is overpowered for a F-rank. This is kinda boring since I have nothing to do, but I guess that's a good thing.'
"Krasbert, let's take a short break here."
"Yes, master."
With the 3 groups they killed 9 goblins in total. They all gave 10exp except the level 2 goblin wich gave 20.
With 100 exp points in total and each getting 50, they both leveled up.

While Lucas was checking everything out without a care in the world, the sounds of screaming and destruction in the city became more intense.
"I think the goblins are starting to break into homes because there aren't enough people outside. Krasbert, let's go in the direction with the most goblins and hunt as many as we can."
"Yes, master."
'The gate break happened almost an hour ago, so people should be getting used to their awakening. I have to get as many kills as possible and become stronger than anyone else.'

After about another hour of hunting, the goblins from the gate closest to lucas were finally cleared and a notification showed up.

'Holy shit! This is amazing, I'm so happy I have Krasbert. If it wasn't for him I never would've gotten so many kills.'
There were a few other awakened around him. After hunting for so long lucas had encountered quite a few who had decided to fight the goblins.
At first people thought Krasbert was a monster but they soon realized he was lucas his summon. And they were all shocked by his power, it gave them motivation to fight harder.
Lucas didn't hesitate to use the skill option card.

'I can forget the active ones since they require mana. I think it's between sword mastery and tracking since the mace is only better at the beginning and suits strength oriented fighters.'
'I choose sword mastery since it's probably the most versatile weapon. And I can use Krasbert for tracking.'

Immediately after choosing, a flood of information entered his head.

After swinging his sword around for a bit, he decided to check his status. Of the 114 total kills there were 99 after his last check. Of the 99 goblins, he killed 8 himself while Krasbert killed the other 91. And of the 91 goblins, 11 were level 2.

After fighting for so long Lucas realized how important stamina was so he put 5 points into that. Agility was also important to him, especially now that he wielded a sword, so he put 5 points into that as well . The other 3 went into strength.

After the excitement faded away, lucas realized just how tired he was.
"I have never moved so much in my life. Krasbert, let's head home for now."
"Yes, master."
"You don't have to add 'master' everytime."

After walking for about 10min they arrived at home. Lucas realized that Krasbert had some minor wounds so he used the Avatar space skill for the first time. And just like that Krasbert vanished into the space to recover.
Lucas was sitting on the couch of the small 2 bedroom apartment that he grew up in.
He turned on the television to check the news.
"As you can see people, things have started to settle down in the city but the same can't be said for the world. We suspect that by tomorrow some small countries without much military will be gone."
"Yes, you are right Joseph! We are lucky to live in such a safe country and city. There were 18 of these so called gate breaks in our city alone. The good thing is that 14 of those have been stopped so far thanks to the military and some civilians who decided to fight."
"Yes indeed, Sebastien! From what we've found out, around 10% of people from age 15 and up have awakened. I wonder what this all means for humanity."
"Well I am sure it will bring a big change to the world with the monsters and awakened alike. And the government has said that they plan to form a association that will be in charge of everything related to monsters, gates and the awakened."
Lucas was surprised by how quick the government moved.
"It really is like the fantasy novels I have read so many times. I wonder if there will be guilds too. I'm sure it won't be possible for the government to control so many awakened."
Lucas was tired so he decided to take a shower and go take a nap.
