"Kaylan, it's best you don't get attached to her so soon"
Wasn't this a bit too late, Kaylan thought.
"Alright, she is still serving me" he said turning to leave.
Miss. Aurelia stood behind. She knew the type of person the king was.
"Shall we?" Kaylan asked Luna who was standing by the bed.
"Yes" I said, walking towards him.
We went to another part of the fortress, I was stunned.
The place was grey in color and had a double door, when I stepped in, my jaw dropped. He place wasn't any lesser than a palace.
The gold in the chandelier glittered like the morning sun, his couch had floral designs on them.
"Wow" I exclaimed.
Kaylan turned to me and saw my stunned face. "You like it here?"
Ofcourse I did, no.. I didn't like it, I loved it
"Yes" I smiled putting my clothes bag down.
"I'll show you your room" he said picking up the bag.
He walked me to a room, opposite the room door was another door. "And that?" I asked pointing at the door.
"That's my room" he said.
Wait a minute, his room is opposite mine.... I could easily snick in at night.
What nonsense, why would I sneak into someone's room at night.
"That's nice" I smiled at him.
I honestly can't explain what is wrong with me, I keep smiling like a fool around this guy.
He helped me unpack into a wardrobe before leaving for his own room.
"You seemed to have a good day without me" Zephyrus said
"I tend to have a bad day when you are watching" I replied.
Well, I've successfully learnt how to talk to him without speaking out and it was nice having him around, but I still preferred Kaylan company.
The bed here was softer than that in the place i left, and Kaylan scent lingered.
Wait a minute, can't the spell be undone?
"Master" that is what Zephyrus insisted that I call him
"I want to undo a spell, how do I do that?" I asked
"You can't, you're too weak" he simply said
How straight forward, I layed back down and drifted to sleep.
"Wake up" someone yelled from outside.
I opened my eyes forcefully.
The door was pushed open, and that woman again.
"Good morning ma'am" I said getting off bed.
"Follow me" she said turning around "now" she added leaving me behind.
I quickly got off bed, using my hand to arrange my hair and rushed after her.
She showed me around the manor, the kitchen, the bathroom, and the library. Telling me what my daily work was, from time to time I would yawn.
I couldn't continue living like this, when was she going back?
"I hope you heard everything I have told you?" She asked
Absolutely not....
"Yes ma'am" i answered
"Yhen why are you still standing there, go get the water ready for sire bath" she said harshly
"Yes ma'am" i bowed slightly before running off to the kitchen.
I've never boiled water in my whole life, I didn't even know how to light the fire.
I stood in front of the fire place wondering what to do to make it light.
Then... A brilliant idea popped into my head. I rushed out and grabbed a candle. I lit the candle and brought the wood putting the candle under it.
It took a very long time before the wood top turned red, then I added it to the other woods and started blowing on it.
But it turned off in no time, I repeated the process over three times but still didn't work... At this point I was getting tired, I sat on the ground with the wood in my hands.
My eyes were beginning to blur, I was feeling really frustrated and useless. I couldn't even light a mere fire.
I was going to use a spell but I'm still too weak to cast any.
When the door suddenly shut open, I was expecting it to be that woman but it wasn't... It was Kaylan.
I was a bit stunned.. but before I could say anything I began crying.
I didn't want him seeing me as lazy but still he did.
"Luna" he rushed to me "are you alright?"
He removed the wood in my hands and held my hands.
"What are you doing here?" He asked
"I... I.. wanted to make.... Make water for... your bath.. but I couldn't" I burst into more tears at my last words.
"You don't have to bother yourself with this, I have servants for all this" he said wiping my tears
"But I don't want to be called a free loader"
"No one would dare call you that" he assured.
I stared at him.
"Come with me" he said before lifting me up and taking me out of the kitchen.
About ten maids were outside, watching us
I buried my head in Kaylan neck.
He took me to the bathroom, they was already water. Then why did that lady make me boil more.
She was just being mean towards me.
"You should wash up" he told me before putting me down
I nodded and started undressing.
"Wait, I should leave first" he said before rushing out.
I washed up and went out soon, Kaylan had gone out for training, so I went to meet the woman.
I found her sitting in a garden, drinking tea.
"Why do you hate me?" I asked straight. I wasn't about to ask how she was when I knew the answer.
"Because you are a potential threat to his highness" she said.
His highness?
"He is a prince and how do I threaten him?" I was having mixed feelings at this point.
"Yes, he is the King's nephew and not knowing who you are means you might be a potential threat to the prince"
Kaylan is also a prince, But I didn't feel bad that he didn't tell me.
"I won't cause any harm to him, I can't harm Kaylan" I professed.
"And you seem like someone important to him, so I wish to get along with you" I smiled.
The woman smiled too. "Looks like you aren't completely blind"
I knew that for her to want to helped Kaylan meant that he was important to her.
"Come sit with me" she gestured for the sit next to her.
I Sat down and she offered me tea.
"Kaylan is stubborn by nature, he doesn't have much friends, the people around him are those who grew up with him. It was a surprise to me when I heard about you"
"Sir Kaylan, saved my life, and that's how I ended up here"
"I'm Aurelia, just call me that"
I stood up and bowed slightly "I'm Lunara, Luna for short"
"Please sit"
Aurelia stared at Luna, Kaylan have saved many but he never kept them by his side.
That kid must have fallen for her ... Aurelia thought
She smiled and continued sipping her tea
