Falling into this dark, deep pit didn't terrify Jin as it did other people around him. There were so many times when he had fallen into traps like this, and in some of his lives, he died this way.
"Hmmm. How should I go about this?" While falling, he was sitting crisscross while contemplating his next move.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!"
"DADDDYYYYYYY!"
"HELP ME! PLEASE HELP ME!"
Most of the screams came from men, unsurprisingly, though some women cried out for their fathers to save them—after all, not every girl had the power to escape this situation.
"Hahaha! Losers! Figure your way out of this!" One of the girls started floating and used her power to gradually descend to the bottom of the pit without any worry.
More girls started flying, some shifting into animals, some having the ability of flight, while others could use their ability to make them fly.
Girls with elemental abilities were also able to handle this situation well. Wind users flew or glided, water users were able to make a bubble around them, earth users created pillars of rock that held them up, while fire users blasted their way down to the surface.
"Need a hand, princess?" Angela appeared smoothly beside Jin, a trail of ice gliding beneath her feet. She wielded her power like an earth user, but by freezing moisture from the air, she needed no existing element to command.
"I'm fine," Jin responded casually.
"Wasn't gonna help you anyway. Hahaha!" Angela accelerated, sliding downward until she was out of Jin's sight.
"Does anyone here have technology powers?" Jin tried to ask for help, but his voice was drowned out by the constant yelling and fear that took over people's bodies.
By now, half of the initiates were able to get their act together and come up with a way to descend safely. This, however, only extended to the people who had abilities that allowed them to do so.
Some of the men here weren't useless either. They came prepared with power kits that allowed them to adjust to most situations. This is why Oculia made sure Jin brought his Power kit.
"Okay, since people are too busy crying, I guess I have to take matters into my own hands." With the clap of his hands, Kai's power kit activated. Nanotechnology materialized over his hands and feet, forming metallic boots and gloves.
The technology covered his legs, arms, and torso as well, but not as much as his hands and feet. A helmet covered his entire head and face with a large glass lens that allowed him to see.
"Scan for anyone with technology-based powers." He told his computer
[Scanning.....Multiple users found]
A display appeared on his helmet, and it marked the five women in Jin's vicinity who had technology-based powers.
"Alright. The one to the left of me can amplify technology, which will be helpful. Mark her in green." Jin looked at the other options.
"That girl can completely reassemble any form of existing technology into something better than it already is. Sweet. Mark her as well."
Two more girls who were close to Jin were scanned, but they could only interact with technology, not amplify or alter it in any way.
"What about the last girl?" She was a bit lower than the others, but he would still be able to reach her.
[Scanning...This woman can merge with technology to further boost its performance.]
"Rad. Let's get to work." Jin aimed his left arm toward the two girls who were close to him, and ropes shot out of his glove, wrapping around two of them.
He clicked his boots together, flames bursting from the soles as he flew downward to speak with the third girl.
"Hello, you three. You're going to help me get everyone out of this situation." He smiled.
"W-Who are you?! Get off me!"
"Help! Help me!"
"Let me go! You're gonna kill us all!"
"Will you three shut up? I'm trying to help all of us! Computer, scan the number of initiates still falling."
[Counting 473 people falling with no attempt at saving themselves.]
"Alright, here's the deal. I gathered you three to help me save everyone. Normally, I wouldn't be this generous, but I'm betting we'll earn extra points for it. You, tech girl, take apart my power kit and rebuild it into something better. I'm thinking a massive jetpack with cables strong enough to carry people."
"I-I don't know if I can do that. I'm too scared!"
Jin shrugged. "That's fine. We can all die then. What will your mother and father think of you? Dying on your first day. That's pretty embarrassing, right?"
The girl bit her lip, her mind racing to the point where she nearly short-circuited. She calmed her mind and then got to work.
Jin's power kit started glowing, a sign that the girl was using her power to dismantle it and make it better.
"While she's working, you, Miss Technology Amplifier, will boost whatever she builds, make it stronger. And you, Miss Tech Takeover, once she's done, you'll link with my power kit, lock onto every initiate, and use my computer for support. Got it?"
Both of them nodded.
The tech-reassembler finished her work, transforming Jin's power kit into something far stronger and more durable. A massive jetpack, turbines resembling plane engines, extended from his back, ready for activation.
"Okay, go now!" He shouted.
Miss Technology Amplifier enhanced the power kit's strength and performance, while Lady Tech Takeover turned into pure energy and merged with it. Working with Jin's computer, they locked onto every initiate, and the suit guided his movements, firing ropes that wrapped securely around each one.
"JETPACK!" At Jin's command, the turbines spun super fast and flames jetted from the bottom of them. From his feet, more boosters ignited, helping him carry the weight of 400 people.
"Oh god! This was way cooler in my head!" Even with the strength of his amplified power kit, it was still hard to carry 400 people.
"What's going on?"
"What's happening?"
"D-Daddy?"
"Did the instructors come to save us?"
"Y'all better be glad I have such a soft heart!" Jin did not have a soft heart. He just wanted the extra points.
"W-We're saved!"
"Thank goddess!"
'She'd better be thanking me for saving you all!'
Soon, the bottom of the pit was in sight, and Jin managed to safely get everyone to the bottom without any issues.
"Thank you!"
"Thank you so much!"
"You saved us!"
"Can I get your number?"
"QUIET!" Miss Horton's voice startled every person there, making all of them stand at attention on instinct.
"YOU ALL FUCKING SUCK!"
