Chapter 37 - The Ultimate Power Awakens:

The divine plains of the Supreme Kai's planet rippled as the last of the ritual's energy dispersed. Gohan stood in the center of the field, calm yet radiating power that felt infinite — his aura no longer flared wildly like Super Saiyan energy but shimmered with a steady white brilliance. The ground beneath him cracked faintly, unable to contain the pressure.

Goku's face shone with pride, hands on his hips. "Heh… I knew it! I could feel it during the Cell Games — but Gohan still had more in him."

Vegeta crossed his arms, his jaw tight. "So this is the boy's true potential… tch, damn impressive." His pride wouldn't let him admit it aloud, but even he could tell this power surpassed a normal Super Saiyan 2 by a huge margin.

Old Kai smirked smugly, stroking his beard. "Behold the fruits of my ritual! You mortals should be grateful."

Kibito stood beside him, eyes wide. "Incredible. His ki feels so pure and dense."

Only Razor seemed unaffected by the spectacle. His arms folded, his expression calm — but there was a glint in his onyx eyes, the unmistakable spark of anticipation. "Interesting," he muttered under his breath. "Maybe this fight won't be so boring after all."

Gohan turned toward him, sensing the intent immediately. "You want to fight me, don't you?"

Razor smirked, his aura flickering like lightning in response. "You can feel it too, can't you? That burning in your blood. The need to test what you've gained."

Gohan's lips curved into a confident smile — a rare, almost nostalgic one. "I guess a little spar wouldn't hurt."

Goku blinked rapidly. "Wait, hold on, you two are—"

Too late. Both warriors had already taken their stances, the ground beneath them cracking under the buildup of ki.

Shin and Kibito immediately backed away, panic flashing in their eyes. "W-wait! Don't fight here, you'll destroy the entire—"

Before he could finish, both Gohan and Razor vanished in a blur. The air exploded between them as fists collided — a thunderclap of power that rippled through the Kai's planet.

The shockwave blew Goku and Vegeta back few steps. Goku's face lit up with pure excitement. "Whoa! Their power levels are insane!"

Vegeta gritted his teeth, squinting into the blinding light. "He's keeping up with Razor… no, he's actually pushing him back!"

Razor, now in his Super Saiyan 2 form, grinned as he exchanged blows with Gohan. Each impact was a miniature explosion, scattering dust and fragments of stone into the air. Gohan's strikes were clean, precise — his movements fluid and focused. His newfound power flowed through him effortlessly.

"You've gotten sharp," Razor said, dodging a kick that grazed his chin. "For someone who got soft after defeating Cell."

Gohan smirked, spinning midair and slamming a punch into Razor's ribs. "Maybe I just needed the right opponent."

The hit sent Razor skidding backward across the surface, his boots digging trenches in the ground. For the first time in months, he felt his blood rush — his body pushed, his instincts ignited.

He wiped the blood from his lip and grinned. "Not bad… but let's turn it up."

In an instant, his golden aura surged — hair extending, lightning bursting in arcs around him. The sky of the divine world trembled as Razor transformed into Super Saiyan 3.

Goku and Vegeta immediately felt it — the weight of his energy pressing on their chests. "That form again…" Goku whispered, remembering how powerful it felt when Razor first used it on Earth.

Razor's aura pulsed, controlled, condensed. His mastery from months of training was evident; though immense, his power was contained — a living storm in human form.

"Super Saiyan 3?" Gohan said, watching the transformation. "I can feel your power doubling— no, tripling."

Razor smirked. "Then let's see if youcan handle it."

Their clash resumed — fiercer, faster, louder. Shockwaves rolled like thunder across the planet.

Goku and Vegeta watched in awe as the two vanished and reappeared, trading blows faster than their eyes could track.

"Unbelievable…" Goku muttered. "Their ki… it's equal!"

Vegeta clenched his fists. "Impossible. That brat was nowhere near Razor before. That old fool's ritual… it really worked."

Old Kai crossed his arms, feigning calm. "Hmph, of course it did. I told you my methods were flawless."But even he was sweating slightly — not just from Gohan's overwhelming aura, but from Razor's sheer adaptability. He's adjusting mid-battle… suppressing ki drain by channeling bursts of power only when he attacks. Remarkable… for a mortal.

Meanwhile, the fight raged on. Razor swung a high kick; Gohan ducked, countering with a blast that sent him flying. Razor flipped midair, using the momentum to hurl an energy wave downward. Gohan raised his arms, deflecting it — but Razor was already in front of him, a fist driving into his gut, followed by a blast to the shoulder.

Gohan coughed, but instead of retreating, he laughed softly. "You're enjoying this way too much."

Razor's grin widened, wild and sharp. "You have no idea."

Their next exchange was even more brutal. Gohan's aura flared brighter as he regained his rhythm — his rust from inactivity fading. His strikes grew faster, sharper, more confident. Razor felt it — the thrill of a true fight. Every cell in his body screamed with joy as he matched Gohan blow for blow.

"Don't hold back!" Razor shouted, eyes blazing. "Come at me with everything you got!"

Gohan hesitated only for a second — then his gaze hardened. "Fine. You asked for it!"

The planet shook as Gohan unleashed a barrage of blows, forcing Razor on the defensive. The two clashed again midair, their energy detonating in golden flares. Cuts opened across Razor's chest; blood splattered, but his grin never faltered. Gohan, too, was bruised and battered, but his heart raced with exhilaration. It had been so long since he felt this alive — since he'd fought for the pure thrill of testing his strength.

Minutes turned to hour. Each clash echoed through the divine skies, until finally — Razor's movements began to slow. The toll of Super Saiyan 3 was catching up to him. Even with his "burst" technique to conserve energy, his ki was nearly depleted.

Gohan, though bruised, still stood strong. His Ultimate form demanded less energy — a perfect blend of power and efficiency.

Razor lunged forward one last time, roaring as he threw a punch — Gohan met it head-on, their fists colliding in a brilliant explosion that lit up the horizon.

When the light faded, Razor was on one knee, panting heavily, his aura fading back to normal. Gohan stood over him, sweat dripping down his forehead but his posture steady.

"You win," Razor said, his tone calm — not bitter, not disappointed, but satisfied. "Looks like you've still got some fire left, after all."

Gohan smiled faintly, extending his hand. "That was one of the best fights I've ever had."

Razor took it, pulling himself up with a smirk. "Enjoy it while you can. Next time, I'll be the last one standing."

As Kibito rushed over to heal them both, Goku and Vegeta approached. Goku grinned ear to ear. "Man, that was awesome! You two were incredible!"

Vegeta crossed his arms, hiding his excitement behind pride. "Hmph. Enjoy your victory, boy. It won't last."

Shin chuckled. "If these warriors are our hope against Duragon… perhaps we actually stand a chance."

Razor turned his gaze toward the horizon, his expression unreadable. "Duragon, huh? I hope he's worth all this trouble."

For the first time in a long while, he felt something he hadn't felt since his battles across the stars — the spark of a challenge that might finally satisfy his Saiyan blood.

And deep down, he couldn't wait.
