Chapter 38 - The Relentless Saiyan:

The sun on the Supreme Kai's planet had long dipped below the horizon, casting the alien sky in hues of deep violet and pale gold. Razor stood in the center of the plateau, his body covered in bruises and cuts, his breathing ragged yet steady. Despite the exhaustion, his grin was wide — that same wild grin he always wore after a satisfying battle.

Across from him, Gohan landed lightly on his feet. His breathing was calm, controlled, and though his gi was tattered from their fierce exchange, he didn't appear nearly as battered as Razor. The quiet air between them buzzed faintly with leftover energy from their clash.

Then, in the distance, Kibito's voice echoed, "Hold still, both of you!"

He rushed forward, his hands glowing a soft green. He began healing Razor first, and within seconds, the cuts and bruises disappeared, the exhaustion fading away like mist. As Razor stood straight again, a faint ripple of ki pulsed from his body — his power had grown stronger, denser.

Goku blinked, sensing it first. "Whoa… his energy! It's gone up again!"

Vegeta narrowed his eyes, crossing his arms. "That power… it's risen quite a bit since the last fight." He frowned, annoyed but intrigued. "Tch, His body adapts faster than I expected."

Gohan tilted his head, sensing it too. "It's… impressive. Even though we all get stronger after recovering from near defeat, it's usually so small now it hardly matters. But Razor… he's different."

Goku chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "Heh, guess his Zenkai Boosts hit harder than ours. Man, I wish I still got those kinds of jumps."

Vegeta scoffed. "You'd still find a way to waste it."

Razor, ignoring their conversation, flexed his hand, feeling the rush of new power coursing through his veins. The sharp tingle of Saiyan instinct, that hunger for battle, returned in full force. He turned toward Gohan, his smirk widening."Let's go again."

Gohan blinked. "Already? We just—"

But before he could finish, Razor's aura burst into golden flame, the familiar electric sparks of Super Saiyan 2 lighting up the sky. "Come on, Gohan," he said, voice laced with both impatience and thrill. "Don't tell me you are tired already."

Gohan sighed lightly but smiled. "Fine. If you insist."

And so, they clashed again.

The days turned into a week. Every morning, Razor would be the first one up, already waiting on the training field. Every day, he would challenge Gohan without fail — even when Goku and Vegeta tried to spar among themselves, Razor would interrupt, pointing at Gohan like a predator spotting prey.

The pattern became routine: battle, injury, healing, repeat. And each time Razor was beaten into the ground by Gohan's overwhelming precision and power, he would come back the next day stronger, faster, more unpredictable.

Even Goku had to admit it with a grin. "He's crazy, but I kinda like his style."

By the end of the week, the difference was staggering. Razor's ki had grown sharper, stronger.

And today, that improvement showed its result.

The air shimmered under the weight of their ki. Razor's golden aura lit up the field, his long hair from the Super Saiyan 3 transformation flowing wildly. Gohan, in his Ultimate Form, stood calm — still, poised, but ready.

Razor cracked his neck and smirked. "Let's see if that calm act holds up this time."

Gohan's eyes narrowed. "You've improved, Razor. But don't underestimate me."

"I wouldn't dream of it."

They vanished simultaneously — two blurs streaking through the sky, colliding midair with a thunderous crash. The sound rippled through the entire planet as shockwaves tore through the ground, uprooting stones and kicking up dust. Razor's punch connected with Gohan's guard, the impact echoing like a sonic boom. Gohan countered instantly, his knee slamming into Razor's abdomen before spinning into a high kick.

Razor blocked it with his forearm but was pushed back several meters. He grinned, vanishing again, appearing behind Gohan — his fingers glowing with condensed energy.

"Destructo Beam!"

A focused, needle-like beam of teal energy shot forward, its speed blinding. Gohan spun midair, catching it on his palm, the energy burning his hand slightly before he hurled it away. The beam shot off into the sky, splitting a small moon far above in half.

Razor didn't let up. He dashed forward again, fists blazing, his movements faster than before — refined by countless beatings and recoveries. Gohan met him blow for blow, the air trembling with each collision. Soon they both created some distance between themselves.

"MASENKO—!"

"DESTRUCTO BEAM!"

Their attacks met head-on, two beams colliding in a violent explosion of light and heat. For a brief moment, they seemed equal — then, slowly, Razor's beam began pushing Gohan's back, inch by inch. Gohan poured more energy into his attack, sweat forming on his brow.

"Not this time!" Razor shouted, his aura flaring brighter. He pushed harder — and Gohan's Masenko shattered, the beam of crimson energy engulfing him completely before exploding.

The shockwave cleared, and Gohan lay on the ground, breathing heavily, his body bruised. Kibito immediately rushed in, his healing light surrounding Gohan as the wounds began to vanish.

Razor stood a few meters away, grinning triumphantly. His aura faded, his hair shortening back to black. He fell back onto the ground, arms spread, staring up at the alien sky. Finally, after a week — he'd done it.

"Heh…" he chuckled softly.

Goku and Vegeta, watching from the distance, couldn't hide their surprise. Vegeta muttered under his breath, "The fool actually did it…"

Goku smiled wide. "Heh, that's Razor for you. He doesn't stop until he breaks through."

As Kibito finished healing Gohan, the young half-Saiyan looked at Razor, still lying there. "You really don't know when to stop, do you?"

Razor smirked tiredly. "Stopping… is for the weak."

Even Shin, watching from a distance, couldn't help but be slightly impressed. "He's dangerous… but he's disciplined in his madness."

After a few minutes, Razor sat up, rolling his shoulders. His eyes gleamed with something sharper than pride — strategy.

He looked at Goku and Vegeta, both of whom were still observing. "I think it's time I changed things up."

Vegeta raised an eyebrow. "What nonsense are you planning now?"

Razor's grin widened. "Simple. Gohan can't push me anymore. So next time, I want the three of you — together."

Goku blinked. "Wait, what? You mean—"

"I mean all of you at once." Razor stood, dusting himself off. "If you refuse, fine. I'll just attack you all together anyway. You'll have no choice but to fight back."

Vegeta scowled. "You're insane."

Razor tilted his head. "Maybe. But it's the fastest way to get stronger."

Goku's grin returned, matching Razor's wildness. "Heh, you sound like Vegeta used to."

Vegeta folded his arms, smirking faintly. "Used to?"

Razor laughed, stretching his arms wide toward the horizon. "That should be fun."

Gohan sighed, half amused, half exasperated. "You're going to drive everyone insane, you know that?"

Razor's eyes gleamed. "Maybe. But when Duragon arrives, we'll need more than sanity. We'll need monsters."

The others fell silent at that name. The shadow of the looming warlord still hung over them — distant but inescapable.

Razor turned his gaze upward, where the stars shimmered faintly in the alien sky. His grin softened just a little."Six months left, huh? Guess I'll make every fight count."

And with that thought — the relentless Saiyan returned to training, his laughter echoing across the quiet world as the others prepared for what was to come.
