The city was very quiet.
Seo Jin leaned against the window, watching the morning light spill across Seoul's skyline. The rain had stopped, but droplets still clung to the glass, catching the sun like fragments of another world.
For a moment, it almost felt normal.
Almost. Almost to say.
Behind him, Li Ran was sitting cross-legged on the floor, a red robe half-open as he inspected Seo Jin's phone — which, somehow, he had already learned to unlock.
"Your world is strange," Li Ran murmured. "Why do people send pictures of food to each other instead of sharing it in person?"
Seo Jin glanced back and couldn't help but laugh. "Because they can't teleport it through the screen."
Li Ran hummed, tilting the phone. "But they share emotions through these devices. It's… fascinating. Almost like scent."
That made Seo Jin pause. "Scent?"
