The light filtered through the cracks of the cave.
Seo Jin blinked awake, head pounding. For a moment, he forgot where he was. The faint sound of dripping water echoed in the silence.
Then a soft voice spoke beside him.
"You move a lot when you sleep."
Seo Jin turned. Li Ran sat a few feet away, back against the stone wall, his red robe torn and dirty. His usual cold face looked calm now, almost relaxed. The golden mark on his chest glowed faintly under the thin fabric.
Seo Jin groaned. "Don't say that like you were watching me."
Li Ran's lips curved slightly. "I was."
Seo Jin's face heated. "Creep."
The fox jumped down from a rock, tail flicking. "Good morning, lovebirds!"
Seo Jin threw him a glare. "Fox."
The fluffy creature puffed up. "What? I'm just happy you two didn't explode last night! The link's holding fine!"
Li Ran tilted his head. "Link?"
