"Pleased to meet you."
Perimede(s)'s words echoed in William's mind. Who...What..Why...all three questions kept repeating, over and over again. As he continued losing control over his body.
William was stunned as he stared at the screen in front of him. How did it know?
"Don't...call....me....that..." He would think, his body slowly getting heavier and heavier.
Before his vision faded to black.
When he awoke again, he was in the middle of a massive crater; around him were walls of seawater that refused to rush into the crater. Almost as if the natural laws of the universe were deceived.
It seemed a battle of colossal proportions had happened here. One that altered the landscape or seascape, as I should say.
"What... the hell happened?" Will would rub his temples while saying. He would inspect his clothing; thankfully, they were all unscathed.
He would then call out to the one who caused this.
"Perimedes?"
There was no response. It seemed Perimedes or whoever they were was gone.
"Hold on...when things like this typically happen in webnovels...
William would open up the [Library] and check if he had received anything new, truly an unreal level of greed. To his delight, he had received a new attribute and title.

-That's a strange description, but it should have its uses. It means I can bypass the rules of the story even without Perimede's approval.
-Now onto the titl-

The screen would flicker before it could even finish its sentence, displaying a huge error before forcibly shutting itself down.
-It looks like it's been put through a filter of sorts...This reminds me of a webnovel I once read...
After checking up on his weird new attribute and title, he would look around at his surroundings. Looking for two things in particular, one of which was a general idea of where he was, just in case some teleportation shenanigans had ensued.
After a bit of searching, he could barely make out the remains of a giant throne. So he definitely was in the same place as before. Now onto the second thing he wanted to search for.
There, about a kilometer away from him, his captain, Odysseus, was unconscious on the ground. From this distance, it was unclear whether he was even alive or not. So Will decided to go and see.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Before long, he was right infront of his captain. Now that he thought about it, he never really got the chance to get close to his captain. He was too busy worrying about the looming threat of Poseidon.
-I hope it isn't too late. He might still be able to be saved....
William would check Odysseus's pulse. He was alive.
[Attribute: Monster is activating!]
-But....then again....there were many ways to finish a story. One of the ways in particular, is to remove the main character.
William would pick up a jagged piece of rock from the ground, while looking at the helpless state his ca-no the main character of this story was in.
He would raise the stone up high, aiming straight for Odysseus's neck.
-Goodbye.
William would mouth silently with a calm and collected expression on his face, as if killing the man before him was a task so boring it may aswell be a chore.
...
[Attribute: 'Mistake' is activating against "Monster"]
William's hand would halt right above Odysseus's neck. A moment's away from killing him.
-Killing him would result in the story being completed. But is that really the ending I want? After all the webnovels I've read, the thing most unattainable, and the one thing I want....
At that moment a new screen would pop up infront of him.
Simultaneously, an unfamiliar illusory voice would resound through his mind. Causing William an immensely painful headache for a couple minutes.
"What path will you take to achieve your goals?"
[New Side-Mission: Pick your Burden.]
[An internal conflict has occured. What is your path? The path of a True Monster? Or the path of Monster becoming a Man once more?]
[What will you choose?]
[The path of a monster or a man?]
"Is a happy ending."
[Path of Man selected.]
[New Mission: I am the one thing in life I can control.]
[Details: Reach atleast 50% Humanity]
[Rewards: Will be Revealed once completed.]
[Current Humanity: 6.15%]
[Time Limit: None]
[Penalty: Loss of all Humanity, permanently.]
William would then toss Ody on his back and start marching to the remains of the Throne. He used his [Calculator] Attribute to find the rock with the perfect dimensions to be as aerodynamic as possible.
[ Ability: 'Chariot' is being activated!]
Thankfully he still possessed the Sun Boon from Helios, just without the artificial sun ability. His Ingenuity had also recovered fully so he was able to use the rock as a chariot with and soar through the air extremely quickly.
Will would wonder why didn't he use such a powerful movement skill in the first place to complete the story, before realizing that it probably would have resulted in a worse ending which wasn't ideal.
After all, he had heard from the Association's flyers and his Master's teachings that the better the story you end up creating, the better the rewards obtained. His master didn't elaborate too much on it though, even after his repeated pestering.
From the skies above it seemed that when they were pulled into the sea by Poseidon for his grand boss fight. It had brought them many of kilometers away from the ship.
William would quickly fly around the nearby area searching for any land, before finding a nice little island they could rest at. After all, maintaining abilities of a god while not even having the Ingenuity stats of a reader was extremely challenging.
With only a tiny bit of Ingenuity remaining, William would safely land the rock on the island.
It was a very beautiful island, full of trees and fields of flowers. So much so that you could smell the scent of them from the shore of the island. Truly, a paradise.
As William was admiring the view, Odysseus's body began to stir. It seemed that the turbulent fly over here had finally woken him up. Seeing this, Will would suddenly get an idea.
When Odysseus finally opened his eyes, he would see William standing above him with a mischievous grin on his face.
-Welcome back captain.
