"What do you mean my brother disappeared with his friend? Is this some kind of joke? If it is, please stop."
Viktor turned me toward him and pulled me into a firm hug. Without a word, he suddenly lifted me into his arms and carried me back to the bedroom. Gently, he placed me on the bed before kneeling down in front of me, resting his head on my lap.
"I don't know what happened or how," he said quietly. "When we left the rooftop, I got a call from Black saying your brother wasn't in his room. We searched everywhere, but there was no trace of him."
So, he just vanished into thin air? How was that even possible?
"That shelter was yours, right? So why didn't you check the CCTV footage or track his phone location?" I asked anxiously.
Viktor shook his head. That simple gesture told me everything—he had already tried all that but still couldn't find my brother.
