Riv

"No way… I can't believe you live alone in such a big house. Half the town could fit in here!" I exclaimed, my eyes scanning the enormous space as I stood frozen in place.
Just then, Adam reached out and grabbed my hand, pulling my gaze toward him.
Adam was huge compared to me. I had seen him in movies before—not my favorite actor, but undeniably handsome. His broad shoulders and strong frame were intimidating, yet I didn't feel scared. I knew he was a genuinely kind person.
So I intertwined my hand with his.
"I live alone," he said, his voice carrying a quiet sadness. "No one really cares about me in this world. That's why I stay here by myself. And that's also why I offered you to stay with me… so I won't feel lonely."
Hearing this, a pang of pity struck me. He tried to force a smile, and instinctively, I stood on my toes and cupped his face in my hands.
"You're not alone anymore. I'm here with you," I said softly.
