I never thought things like this actually happened in the entertainment industry.
Back home, I used to believe that talented artists were the ones who got selected. But now, sitting here, I realized how wrong I was. It wasn't always about talent—it was about connections.
A wave of disappointment washed over me, one so strong that I couldn't even put it into words.
After two long hours, the audition room door opened, and a woman who looked like one of the crew members stepped out.
"Everyone's auditions are over," she announced politely. "The directors have already selected the actors. For those who haven't gone yet, we wish you the best of luck next time." She bowed slightly and left.
I turned my head toward the two guys who had been talking earlier. Their expressions said it all—they'd been right.
My heart sank. I'd waited three hours only to find out that they'd already made their choice before even watching us perform. It was unfair… and it stung deeply.
