After Viktor left, I also headed out—and on the way, I stopped by the kindergarten to pick up my kids.

When I parked the car and stepped out, I noticed something odd. Many parents were standing inside the gate instead of waiting outside like usual. I frowned, glancing around.

There were still plenty of cars parked nearby, which meant none of the parents had left yet.

Something wasn't right.

I walked through the crowd, gently pushing past people, and when I finally reached the front—my heart nearly stopped.

My twins were standing together, their small faces bruised, their clothes torn and covered in dirt. Blood streaked their elbows.

In front of them stood two other boys—their condition looked even worse—and behind them were their parents.

Before I could say anything, the woman pointed at my children and started shouting.

Without wasting another second, I stepped forward and stood protectively in front of my kids.
