Outside the hospital.
Three men and two women walk along the empty sidewalk.
One of them is tall and heavily built. Next to him, another man of average height examines an old crucifix, while the shortest one is dressed in a priest's robe adapted for combat.
While both women wear nuns' habits with the same design for combat, one of them has brown hair and the other has short black hair.
"Aster, are you sure that vampire's mother is here?" asked the tall hunter, looking suspiciously at the hospital facade.
Aster, the black-haired man who had abandoned his companion to his fate, sighed with annoyance. "Yes. The information came directly from Headquarters." He frowned. "Believe me, if it were up to me, I wouldn't be stuck in this damn place."
"It's rare to hear a follower of our lord curse," commented the black-haired woman, innocently.
"..." Aster opens her eyes and sighs: "I thought he was going to recite a verse to me," he says in a slightly sad tone as he remembers his crazy, fanatic companion.
"But... shouldn't we be more careful? We're dealing with vampires, aren't we?" said the short hunter, clutching his crucifix as if it were a walkie-talkie to God.
"Don't worry," Aster smiled with a confidence that wasn't entirely convincing. "Vampires are creatures of the night, sunlight is like poison to them... so let's just capture that sin-corrupted bitch and that's it, job done."
Suddenly, a bloody pressure enveloped them; the air became heavy as if someone had turned on "final boss mode."
Everyone stood still.
"Uh... Aster," said the short hunter in a trembling voice, pointing toward the hospital entrance. "If vampires only come out at night... then what is 'that'?"
Lucien, bathed in the morning sun, watched them with eyes glowing bright red.
Aster blinked. "...An anomaly, apparently." And her expression hardens, and she shouts, "Quick, put up a barrier!"
The brown-haired girl takes the Bible and opens it to a specific page: "Heavenly Father, I cover myself with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and ask that you protect me and my companions." Suddenly, the pages tremble... they shake and begin to fly on their own like an army.
"It seems it's time to avenge my comrade." Aster grabs the crucifix and shouts, his eyes glowing gold: "I am the sword of the Angel Michael!"
...
Lucien sees the swarm of pages stuck to the nearby walls and posts; a familiar smell reaches his nose, and he immediately remembers... "It's the hunter who escaped earlier... I have to capture him," he murmurs, his vision returning to normal.
"Damn vampire, you're too confident!" The tall hunter suddenly appears beside him, grabs his face, and throws him against a wall.
Boooom!
He feels dizzy, his face burns as if someone had thrown hot water on it, and he feels bits of cement in his hair. He tries to get up... but hears a scream:
"Die, you damn vampire!" The black-haired woman hunter stabs him with a spear covered in golden energy, creating a small crater beneath him.
"Ugh..." He coughs up blood and feels his face regenerate, but with a new pain in his chest; he looks at the hunter with a neutral expression, while his eyes turn red.
"We're not worried about anything, it's just a newborn vampire with rare immunity to sunlight." The black-haired woman hunter speaks with a smile, as if all the preparations were for nothing.
"I've changed my mind. Let's kill that filthy woman who gave birth to this disgusting vampire," said the tall hunter, wearing silver gloves covered in golden energy.
'Did they just say they're going to kill my mother...? Are they stupid...?' Lucien feels his head buzzing, but he's sure of what he heard.
That only confirms that Silas sold his mother's location; most likely, when he came back later, she was already gone. 'That damn bastard...' He clenches his teeth tightly.
He stands up as if gravity doesn't work on him... "That hurt," he says for the first time, and cracks his knuckles.
"What!?" The black-haired woman hunter turns around, surprised and terrified. This can't be happening! Wasn't he a newborn vampire? Why the hell is he standing up?
Lucien smiled wryly. "Never seen such a handsome vampire before?" The blood rushed back into his body as if obeying a will of its own. He looked down at his torn shirt. "Oh, damn... that was my favorite."
The tall hunter tried to strike, but Lucien, covered in red lightning, appeared in front of him in a flash. He grabbed him by the face, dragged him across the hospital wall, and threw him hard.
Boooom!
He looks at the black-haired hunter and disappears, leaving behind red flashes, then reappears behind her. His nails grow and, with supernatural speed, he pierces her chest and rips out her heart.
He opened his mouth and squeezed his heart, all the blood fell into his mouth, spread across his lips and arms, the taste made his face wrinkle... but he didn't care, he continued drinking it.
"... Huh?" The black-haired woman hunter puts her hand on her chest, feels the emptiness... little by little, her body loses strength, and she collapses lifelessly on the ground.
"I still can't get used to this taste." He licks the blood from his hand, his face contorted with disgust.
"DAMN VAMPIRE!" shouts the tall hunter, filled with rage, and disappears in a golden light.
Lucien glanced to the side and saw the tall hunter approaching at full speed. He took a step back to dodge the attack imbued with golden energy.
"Damn it!" The tall hunter curses as his attack hits the air.
Lucien's smile widens, revealing all his sharp teeth, which are like those of a shark, and he grabs the hunter's head. "Let's see how much voltage an Inquisition hunter can take." his hands are covered in red lightning, and suddenly, a huge shock hits the tall hunter's head.
"AHHH!!!" The hunter screams in pain before falling lifeless to the ground, his head completely burned.
"Now there are only three hunters left..." Lucien looks at the three remaining hunters, one of whom is Aster, and says quietly, "Luna, there's a way to escape this barrier." He knew he couldn't take them all out; his priority was to escape.
A pair of eyes and a mouth appear in its shadow. "If there's a way, the barriers aren't all-powerful; there's a weak spot on that pole." Luna points to the pole.
He doesn't hesitate and sees that his shadow is pointing to a pole, covering his body with red rays, forcing him to go beyond his limits. He feels the rays piercing his body, and blood comes out of his mouth, but he endures all the pain.
Suddenly... his body disappears and only a sonic sound can be heard.
BOOOOM!
Suddenly, the pages of the Bible lose their power and fall to the floor, and the noise from outside fills the room. The barrier put up by the hunters had been destroyed!
"We have to go and report this." Aster wasn't going to hesitate to leave; a vampire immune to sunlight is very bad news.
"But what about our companions..." said the brown-haired huntress with the Bible in her hand.
"Damn it! This isn't the time..." Aster interrupts her, but he can't finish his sentence either when he sees a vampire covered in red lightning in front of him, who grabs him by the neck, and his whole world goes dark.
"...What!?" The brown-haired hunter didn't see anything that happened; her barrier was destroyed, and Aster disappeared right before her eyes. She shudders with terror as she remembers the vampire. "We have to get out of here fast," she says in a frightened tone... but then she sees her companion sitting with a yellow liquid coming out of his crotch.
"Lord, my heart is overwhelmed with fear. I give you my worries, knowing that my future is in your hands." The hunter below clutches the Bible tightly, trembling. "Fill my soul with serenity, may your love drive out all fear..."
Wham!
"..." The hunter came down, touched his face, and looked at his partner, confused. "Why did you suddenly hit me?"
"We have to take our comrades' bodies and leave," she says in a hoarse voice, with tears in her eyes.
The attendant wipes away his tears, but when he sees his lower body, his face flushes with embarrassment, unable to look up.
...
In an abandoned building...
"Lord Lucien, are you all right?" asks Luna, who had stepped out of his shadow.
"Yes... I'll be fine in a few minutes," Lucien replies with a broken voice. I didn't expect that bringing the lightning bolts to that point would have such a huge backlash. 'Damn, I have to be careful using this.' His expression wrinkles, but at the same time, he feels the vampire regeneration working at full speed.
"Luna," he calls her.
"Yes, Lord Lucien."
"Take my mother to that hospital quickly, and if she wakes up..." He pauses for a moment and continues. "Tell her she's being transferred."
"I understand." Luna nods and adjusts her glasses, takes out her phone, and makes a call.
He gets up from the ground and walks over to the hunter Aster.
"Well, what shall I do with you now, church hunter?"
