Chapter 22 - Mangy Dogs

As Sesha heads to Selene's house to meet her mysterious husband, she thinks about what has happened so far... Honestly, she is still surprised to learn that she is married and that she shares the same man with her friends.

It was a feeling... strange? Unique? Well, in the end, she didn't care much; you can't cry over spilled milk. She couldn't help but smile ironically.

The supposed "exotic livestock" that they were going to eat that night ended up becoming her husband. Ironic, isn't it?

"If I had known this was going to happen, I would have stayed home playing Red Dead Redemption 2." She sighs and stops thinking about it; it's no use now, what's done is done.

"Um... my lady, why is your cat coming with us?" Kronii looks at the beautiful white Ragdoll cat on Sesha's shoulder.

"Hmm? She told me she wants to meet my husband, too." Sesha shrugs as if it were normal.

"Meow~" The cat confirms this with a howl and by raising a paw.

Kronii stares at her with a deadpan expression. Did her cat tell her that she wants to meet her husband? What kind of crap is that? Then he flashes a mischievous smile: "That's why I like dogs better."

"Meow!?" The cat looks at her as if she had been told the worst insult in the world.

"How dare you! Cats are the best: they're clean, independent, elegant, and beautiful." Sesha defended her instantly, stroking the feline. "Especially Kyara."

"Meow, meow," nodded the cat, giving Kronii a murderous look. From that moment on, that vampire became her sworn enemy.

"Well, those are your tastes, I have no problem with that." Kronii wasn't narrow-minded, because everyone has different tastes, although her mischievous smile hadn't disappeared from her lips: "But my lady, to be honest, and with all due respect, you have terrible taste. You don't know how to appreciate the beauty of a golden retriever," she said, looking into the cat's indignant eyes.

Sesha glances at her sideways, but decides not to pursue the subject... but that doesn't mean she agrees with her. Cats are the best animals in the world!

"Kronii"

"Yes, my Lady." She tensed for a moment.

"Your salary for this month is cut in half," Sesha said in a tone that brooked no argument.

Kronii opened her mouth several times like a fish, but in the end, she just sighed resignedly.

"Kronii"

"Yes, my Lady."

Sesha pauses for a moment and then drops the bombshell: "You're surrounded by mangy dogs."

"!!!" Kronii quickly turns her head, and her eyes turn red as blood. She looks around and sees a group of five men.

They have spiky brown hair, bright green sapphire eyes, muscular bodies, and are approximately 1.77 to 1.81 meters tall. They wear jeans and sports sweatshirts.

"There's no alpha among them, they're all betas," Kronii said after a quick analysis.

"Kakaka, what a pleasant surprise to encounter a leech on my nighttime stroll." One of the men burst out laughing; suddenly, his body took on animal characteristics, his arms became covered in fur, and the same thing happened to the others.

"You mangy dogs, you're so arrogant just because you're a bunch of betas." Sesha takes her cat Kyara off her shoulder: "I just want to go meet my husband... but problems keep cropping up." She sighs wearily. If she had known that getting married would bring her so many problems, she would have stayed home playing Dark Souls 3.

Suddenly, her body gives off a bloody pressure, and her eyes glow intensely blood red.

"HAHAHA! You see, guys, it looks like the leech is angry."

They laughed loudly as growls filled the street, confident they could defeat those two vampires.

"Oh~ so just one angry vampire." Sesha smiles, amused. Suddenly, gravity begins to increase.

The beta group feels their claws and bodies become much heavier, their expressions harden... because they know that there is only one vampire family that controls gravity.

"YOU ARE FROM THE NADIR FAMILY!!!"

"You're not a stupid dog." She flashes a predatory smile, and gravity suddenly takes hold, and the group of betas can't hold on and falls.

Booom!

"Now gravity will increase threefold," Sesha says in a neutral tone, her eyes shining more intensely.

The ground beneath them sinks, cracking more and more, and they begin to bleed from the holes in their faces.

One of them clenches his teeth tightly. "AUUUU!" He lets out a powerful howl, which gives strength to both him and his pack despite not having an alpha among them.

Suddenly, a swarm of pages from the Bible sticks to the walls and posts. Then a prayer is heard.

"Oh, Lord!

Guide us, Father, to purge the darkness, to break the bones of demons, and cleanse the earth with the purity of your justice.

May our hands not falter, may our hearts not waver,

For we are your soldiers, born of steel and faith.

For your glory, we will rain death upon the impure!

In your name, we will destroy every last trace of evil!

Amen!"

...

In an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town.

The night breeze sways the weeds that have grown in the garden, and golden dots of fireflies can be seen in the air.

The smell of earth and dampness fills the solemn atmosphere of the mansion.

A blond man with blue eyes, a muscular, well-built body, and a height of approximately 1.86 meters, he wears a white priest's robe, but one designed for combat; a gold crucifix hangs around his neck.

He looked at the mansion, lit a cigarette, and entered slowly.

He walks through the hallways with his hands in his pockets, moonlight seeping through cracks and windows, until he reaches a door leading to a basement.

As he descends, he comes upon a stone room the size of a basketball court, with torches embedded in the walls that illuminate the space.

In the center, seated on a black stone throne with a high back, is a beautiful woman with long blood-red hair, a curvy body, F-cup breasts with no signs of sagging, and thick legs. She has the mature appearance and toned physique of a woman of war. Her height was approximately 1.81 meters.

She is sitting with her legs crossed and her hands clasped together. Next to her is a wooden table with a wine bottle filled with blood and an empty glass.

"That demon's information was correct," Luke Van Hellsing said calmly; he grabbed the crucifix around his neck, which emitted a golden glow and turned into a folding knife.

"Another hunter from the Hellsing family," Scarlet looked at the Inquisition hunter without surprise.

"Fire demon, do you know me?" Luke asked the red-haired woman.

"Yes, when I killed your father," she said in a bored tone. "At that time, you were very young, so you may not remember me."

"Y-You... you're the one who killed my father!" he shouted in anger and disappeared in a golden flash.

Scarlet follows him with her gaze, without moving a single muscle.

"Death, you damned demon!" Luke increases his speed and attacks with all his power, the blade filling with golden energy, but he is stopped by a wall of fire.

Swoosh!!!

"Tsk. Pathetic." She clicks her lips in annoyance. "How can you lose control over something so simple." Disappointment and disdain were evident in her voice.

Having grown up in a family of warriors and being a vampire for over 1,500 years, this attitude is pathetic. When she killed her father, William Van Helsing, she had spared his life because she saw talent and potential in him, and she was not mistaken, as he had become a general of the Inquisition.

Luke quickly recovers and controls his emotions: "I've always been curious..." he said, breathing somewhat heavily.

"Hmm? What is it?"

"Why did you kill my father?" Luke asked. It was something he had always wanted to ask the person who killed his father.

Scarlet pauses for a moment, thinking deeply, then smiles and says, "Do you remember every insect you crush when you walk?"

"DAMN YOU!!!" Luke lunges at her, his face contorted with hatred and rage, his body covered in golden energy.

"HAHAHAHAHA~!" Scarlet laughs with amusement and covers her fist with fire. Without moving from her seat, she attacks.

BOOOOM!
