"All formalities are complete," the officiant said with a polite smile. "You're now legally married. Mr and Mrs Fletcher. A certified copy of your marriage certificate will be mailed…"
I allowed the voice to fade away, my eyes fixed on the Emerald-cut diamonds on a platinum band that circled my ring finger in awe.
I was married. I was now Mrs Fletcher. The thoughts of what I'd just done, the decision I had taken, almost sent me out of the courthouse screaming at the top of my lungs. But I had thought this over on the way here. Dominic had even confirmed that I could back out, but I had continued with it.
Just for one reason: Revenge.
I wasn't the blushing bride anyone would want to see, and this wasn't even a real marriage, but I was somewhat thrilled…
