Owen was the first to break the silence. He shot out of his seat and snorted out a laugh.
"Three hundred and ten total? That's ludicrous. You can't just stand there and call some random amount of money you don't even have in your account!"
Then he turned to Uncle Lawrence. "Are you certain you're checking it right? They must have done something to it at the dollar store it's gotten from. Please recheck it." Owen urged him.
Dominic lifted a brow and rolled one shoulder. His hand dropped from my waist, and a disappointed sigh escaped me as his warmth vanished, too. He walked towards Owen, who took a step back. Dominic took the ring from Uncle Lawrence and strode back to me.
