"What are you doing?" I hissed, trying to pull my hand from hers, but her grip tightened.
"Owen's money went missing, and definitely, it must have been used for that if that's real," Camilla answered, and she began to tug me away from the living room. I stared at Dominic, who didn't move from his spot and kept watching me being harassed.
So much for wanting to protect me!
"Let me go, Camilla. I didn't steal Owen's money! I am not a thief!" I snapped.
But Camilla's grip remained unyielding until we arrived inside the kitchen. It was spacious enough to be another living room, unlike Dominic's, where it was combined with the living room.
There were ten servants in it, doing the dishes and minding their business. Yet, I couldn't help but feel ashamed by the treatment I was receiving. I looked around to see that I was surrounded by Owen, his father, two of his uncles, and Camilla. Dominic wasn't here.
I swallow hard, staring at Camilla's hand that was extended towards me.
