So who wants to know the story between me and copper wait wwai.... "He really never wanted to talk about ot but his mouth had already done the deed without him even thinking it through. He was caught so he thought of changing the subject quickly and then he remembered that Carter's birthday was in four daysu on 31st October so he shamelessly changed the topic without considering the children waiting for the hot gossip.
"Well isn't your birthday coming soon both you and Auther right? " the both nodded their heads in affirmation to the question and Sebastian thinking he had changed the topic of discussion wanted to continue with the birthday but before he opened his mouth to continue he was stopped mid-sentense by the curious group.
"What gif....," that's when he heard his sons voice telling him not to try to change the subject at the time as they all wanted to know the story between him and Copper after all they all remembered Sebastian calling him ex buddy.
"Well... " he started hesitantly, "we met when we were around yen years old and became friends immediately as there were not many kid living there so we hit it off immediately and were inseparable, " the sigh coming from was loud enough as he thought of there childhood.
"Can you go immediately to the point where your friendship ended after all who would want to hear all the stories. "Said an impatient Kevin feeling as if he had been trapped forgetting he was the one who asked for it in the first place. His constant complaints was getting to his father whose veins were almost bulging out, he really was angry this time and most people could notice it well we can say Kevin either noticed or was playing dumb at the moment. " Telling us all the story is a waste why not tell the short form then. "Continued Kevin as he ate the deserts not looking up as he concentrated only on the desert in front of him.
"The story is mine so if you want to listen stay put and stop your demands after all you were the one who wanted to hear our story so listen to it as it is presented to you, ah you always demand too much and I give it to you without any payment I'm truly miserable at this point. " he he held his head lamenting on his fate with a son like Kevin around. "Listen to the story I won't repeat it if anyone asks about it again.
" At that time we had just moved to the neighborhood and we lived in the house next to Copper's parents. He was an only child and we heard that there family heard there history from way back so they were rich and they moved to the city to offer there son a better education. Copper at that time was humble and most importantly a troublemaker and when were became friends I joined in after all it was fun to play pranks on the people around. I forgot one thing Copper was a creative young man and he made use of the wastes be it plastic or the scrapped metals he always managed to make something out of them . "the small smile on his face couldn't betray how much they were fond of each other. He was genuenly happy as he smiled from ear to ear that made them wonder more what really happened to the two of them after all from the story they were attached to each other.
" You know the best part of our high school be it Junior high or Senior high was pranking the teachers and we used to go to a cafe near there and I remember when we used to miss classes so as to play games at the cyber cafe it was enjoyable after all we had those who would bring us the notes so we would review them together and come up with short forms of how to handle mathematics questions, that was our speciality and most teachers praised us for the hard work.
We never really got into trouble that is until we met your mother who surpused us in many subjects that's when the reprimanding started and our parents were also called to school because we were never serious with our studies.
We really hated her even though she was a beauty we vowed to never be associated with her after all we found ourselves in trouble after trouble because of her so being far away from her was the best option.
From that the comparison and mocking gazes after all the two of us were defeated by a girl so instead of frequenting the cafe to play we went there to study until we took back our positions but we still payed games just for a few hours to boost our brains.
We maintained our positions till we finished our senior high and went to university. We were the closest of friends even then. Barbara your mom studied medicine while me and my buddy studied architecture and medical research respectively.
The best part was that we were in the same university our fun still continued as for the work load it was nothing as we finished them, we never missed any party everything was going well until ww met her "Chelsea" she was being harassed by some youth well we could say that we were in the same university as them so we helped her.
She was so innocent back then making the two of us wonder what she was doing there after all it never seem like a place where she should be because she could be swallowed whole.
We later learnt that she, was looking for her elder brother who owned the place. We took her to him and left but we never thought that we could meet at my class well that was surprising after all I never thought she would be my classmate so I later told Copper about it.
Ww became friends the three of us, it was good as we hung out most of the time including her brother Bailey who was almost done with his university as he was in his final year. Time passed by and one time I learnt that Copper liked her so I just encouraged him to go after her but the problems started because I was too close to her and I really tried to give them space but we still met like it was planned.
Later I learned she had feelings for me so I went to the only person who could help and the person I knew personally that was Kevin's mom for help. We made a deal that if she ever needed help I would give in no matter what it was.
I gave Copper the opportunity to court her as I distanced myself from them I hoped they would grow close soon and maybe just maybe they would like each other but everything never went according to my plans after all her last phone call was to me. He smiled the saddness clearly visible on his face as for everyone that one word the last phone call echoed in there minds as they waited for more explanation of what was going on.
