Carter felt a wet patch on his shirt at first he thought it was drool but as he put Scarlet on the mini bed he saw tears flowing and the pain and the anguish in her expression was something he had never seen from all the people around him. He tried to pat her head and talk to her telling it would be alright but the dears like a reservoir kept flowing.
Then he changed his tack tick as he told her to let it go but all he got was that it hurts she kept clutching her chest as she kept crying how it hurts. The desperation as if she was holding onto the dearest and the resentment at the same time was baffling as he never heard of such a voice.
He who has never been in a situation like this was about to leave but she held him asking him not to leave saying how she would change or whatever because he never heard it well through those sobs that's when the phone near them rung and he answered quickly maybe just maybe the person calling could help.
"Hello can you help I don't know what is wrong with Scarlet she keeps saying that it hurts, please hurry and help I don't know what to do as we talk. " he was almost on the verge of tears as he pleaded with the person on the other end of the call.
"Is my daughter okay, don't worry I'll be there in five minutes I'm on my way take care of her for now I'm begging you. " the voice panicked and was shuffling with things as he ended the call as Carter heard the engine at the background. He thought to himself how he was doomed because first he had forgotten his phone at home, second he never told anyone where he went and third they must be worried sake after not seeing him for half a day .
He sighed wondering how he ended up in such a situation as he held the hand of the sobbing girl wondering how terrible the nightmare was that it hurt so much bringing her to tears. He felt pity for her he fealy wanted to know how bad it was and what she was going through over in her sleep.
He remembered someone once told him that he never wished the night to come let alone sleep because it brought him the suffering he wanted to forget maybe that's how she also felt over and over again because her sleep was filled with pain anguish and desperation and that wish to survive in it even if it's just a dream. She kept holding him tight like the very lifeline she needed thankfully a man arrived just in time to save him. Behind him was a doctor who was as worried as the man who had just entered.
"Pa it hurts so much please help me the pain is too much I can't bare it please reduce the pain for me, " she just scented him in her sleep and she called him for help what a strong sense she had. He never thought that someone with the gentlest smile would suffer thst much. The doctor injected some medicine into her system making her calm down.
Her father strocked her hair gently as the furry and pain manifested in both his facial expression and his voice as he asked the bodyguards if they found someone to which he got a negative answer. He became even more furious as the almost hit one of the bodyguards but held back when he saw him sitting there.
"Thank you for today young man I owe you this once for helping my daughter , what's your name. " he curiously asked as he held his chin and his voice gentle as if he wasn't the person who almost threw punches at the bodyguards.
"I'm Carter I'm from the same university as Scarlet, she invited me over to read and was carried away that is why I'm still here sorry about that. " he nodded as he looked him up and down making feel like a merchandise that was about to be sold off according to its quality and that look terrified him as he bade him good night and bolted for the door.
Good for him no one stopped him so he run out living only the shadow of his figure making Scarlet's dad smile but the frown on his face came back as quickly as he saw the tear stricken face of his daughter.
"You useless things why haven't you found those two they could not disappear like that you are just so fucking useless you pieces of shit you are just wasting my resources for nothing, bit let them hide it is a tgreal chasing the prey like this once I find them I'll end them slowly. " the maniac smile on his face made the skin of the two standing to crawl as they never wanted a situation or be found in it.
They knew there boss would bring those two from the hell hole they have been hiding and take every piece of them slowly after all who knows what drug he might have invented to give the "two a better life".
They looked at there young miss who was now sleeping peacefully because of the drugs given to her which helps her cope with the situation. She was an angel who met a scumbag and gave him her everything but all she got in the end was endless suffering.
As so the ran away Carter who just entered the house and was bombered with questions about the sister in law making him confused about who they were calling sister in law until he connected the dots and found his answer.
" What sister in law if you want a sister in law that much one of you could get married and you would get one don't ever count a single sister in law from me because I don't believe in love anyway and I plan to be single till the end. "Said a tired Carter who went to the dinning table and found food left for him there. He ate it after all he hadn't eaten the whole day long.
"I'll sleep with you today I've missed you a lot and we haven't spent even a single minute together since we arrived. " pouted Auther as he wanted Carter or anyone to side with him. That was never bound to happen as Charline and Kevin both disagreed immediately looking at him with hostile gazes.
