Setsune and Lyn stepped out of Najwa's home that night. Fajr peered out through the door.
"Will you visit us sometime?" She asked nervously.
Setsune crouched down and placed a hand on her head, a warm smile on her face, "We'll see each other again,"
Fajr smiled a little, looking down. She knew Setsune likely meant in the next cycle.
Najwa patted her on the head, and looked Setsune on the eye, "now git,"
Lyn held a long rope with little weights over her shoulder. The town was watching them, old man Atsushi amongst them.
"Is she finally leaving?!" he called out.
"Aye. She's leavin' old timer,"
"OL-OLD TIMER!" he exclaimed.
Setsune grabbed her hand and pulled her along, "Let's go, Lyn,"
"Best of luck to you both," Ijeoma waved.
Setsune waved back, not making eye contact, rather just staring in his general direction. He wasn't looking at her anyways. He made eye contact with Lyn, who responded with a raised eyebrow.
As they reached the walls, Setsune looked back. Najwa was gone, the door closed.
"(What's the plan)?" Setsune asked.
Lyn tossed the rope over the wall, "(Nothin' special. Just sneak through city, hop a train, ahn get out),"
"(And the spies)?" she questioned, tilting her head.
"(No problem there)," she shrugged, climbing up the rope. "(I was trained by the best),"
She grabbed the rope, "(And the best are never overconfident, young lady),"
The rope pulled back their way. Lyn caught it before it could clang to the ground. Setsune smiled at her with closed eyes.
Lyn sweat a little and raised a hand, "(Relax relax, I've got this),"
She climbed up the rope and slid down the other side. She was so silent, that the Dreschers failed to notice her. Smirk on her face, she gave the rope a light tug.
---
Setsune took a deep breath. She grabbed onto the rope and tried to climb.
---
Lyn felt the pull. The weight on her side was pulled up just a bit.
She grabbed onto the rope to keep it from pulling more. She pulled on the rope to get the weight back down. She shifted her feet, stepping on the weight and breaking its fall.
---
Setsune felt the pull. She was thrown a bit.
In response, she pulled herself, landing her feet loudly on the wall with PLOP.
---
Lyn was pulled upwards. She pulled back harder. The weight was basically crushing her foot.
---
Setsune pulled harder.
---
Lyn pulled hard.
---
Harder.
---
Harder!
"What was that?" One of the Dreschers asked, turning towards the wall.
It banged its claw against the wall, "YOU LOT BETTER NOT BE TRYING TO ESCAPE!"
"I'll call in," the other Drescher added. "Disturbance at Wartebereich-,"
The pair were knocked out. Lyn had quick switched to and quick shot from the Colour Realm.
She breathed a sigh of relief. Half the rope fell on her face.
She went pale. She had taken the rope with her.
---
Setsune held onto the edge. Her fingers were barely holding onto the 100 percent smooth wall. She smiled, her eyes closed, one eye and her lip twitching.
---
Lyn switched back to the Reflect Realm. Panicking, she untied the weight to extend the rope before THROWING IT OVER.
Setsune jumped over the remaining wall. She switched over to the Colour Realm before landing gracefully and switching back.
"(Did you miscalculate, Young Lady)?" She asked, her hands placed together and barely maintaining her demeanor.
Lyn stared at her, trying to calculate her muscle mass and weight beneath the robe. She couldn't tell.
She looked left and right, "(uh…how much do ya w-)?"
Setsune loomed over her.
"(L-lets get outta here Glassflower, before the wolves get 'ere)!" She exclaimed, rushing off.
Setsune sighed and followed after her. She stopped.
"Hello, who is this? Are the Sludge Rats trying to rebel?" A communicator from one of the Dreschers went off.
She took a deep breath and stepped forwards like she was upon the stage. Lyn looked back at her annoyed.
"What're ya doin'!" She mouthed.
"SHIT! Setsune yelled, her hand on her face. "OUR RESCUE PLAN FUCKING FAILED! WE CAN'T GET OVER THIS OMNES DAMNED WALL! WHAT IN NIGRUM CAVEA ARE WE GONNA DO?!"
She turned around, "THERE AIN'T NOTHIN' WE CAN DO GLASSFLOWER! WE'LL HAVE TO RETREAT AHN BRING MORE OF THE SCARF SQUAD TO SAVE THE DAY!"
She turned back, "YOUR RIGHT, THIS WON'T THE LAST THOSE DUMBASSES AND THEIR CUNT MONDGREIF SEE OF US,"
"LANGUAGE!" She responded to herself.
"WHAT!? IT'S TRUE!" She finished, running over to Lyn.
"(What the frick was that Glass-)!"
"(Come on)!" She ordered, switching them both over.
"(Also 'Scarf Squad')?!" She exclaimed.
"dumb…name," Dusty agreed.
Ursa shrugged, "it's fun,"
"WE ARE SERIOUS PEOPLE! THIS BETTER NOT FOLLOW US!"
"sh….quiet,"
"UGH….!"
---
Unberührbare Waffe was listening closely to the communicator. It narrowed its eyes.
"Scarf Squad eh? Must be a group of morons. They'll be easy prey,"
