Innuendo

The room was dark. Lights briefly flickered, but struggled to fill a certain area.

Unberührbare Waffe was listening closely to the communicator. The vocals were quite staticy, but it wrote down every word as if it heard through the static.

"THERE AIN'T NOTHIN' WE CAN DO GLASSFLOWER! WE'LL HAVE TO RETREAT AHN BRING MORE OF THE SCARF SQUAD TO SAVE THE DAY!"

It narrowed its eyes.

"Scarf Squad eh? Must be a group of morons. They'll be easy prey," it chuckled, stepping out.

It returned to the metallic tunnels beneath the city{chapter VII}. The lights seemed to flicker wherever Waffe walked the halls. Any Dreschers upon its path immediately distanced themselves from it. It raised its chin high, looking down on the other Dreschers.

"Where are you off to, Waffel?" A staticy Drescher's voice called out.

It snapped its head around, "Paying respect to my superior officers,"

"Apologies," it curtsied despite its lack of dress.

Waffe scoffed and went on its way. It reached a heavy metallic door. It was marked with a wolf with two horns and a pad to insert ones' claws into, as Waffe did.

"My Lord, there's-,"

"Waffe," a distorted voice like a titanium pillar called out. "Were you followed?"

"No, My Lord," it responded, hiding its groan.

The door opened. Waffe looked behind itself before entering and closing the door.

The inside was a particularly large office lined with weapons on all sides. Spears, swords, arrows. All the colours green and blue. There was an open space with an orange practice dummy covered in bruises. To the back was a desk with no chair.

A large Drescher stood behind it, sharpening its spear. Little spark came off as it sharpened.

Twas a few heads taller than the average Drescher, with thick arms, legs, and heavy armour around its torso. On its neck was the number: V29S897. Despite the heavy armour, the placements were careful not to limit its movements. It kept things light around the joints and the inner sides of limbs. Its head was bulkier as well, like a helmet, and carried no smile.

Twas like a warrior of green and blue steel.

"What do you have to report, Waffe?" it asked, its voice much clearer now.

"There's a disturbance outside of Wartebereich XXXIV, my Lord. A group calling themselves the 'Scarf Squad' has infiltrated the city. They made an attempt on Wartebereich XXXIV," it answered, raising its head with pride, its claws behind its back.

"And?" it glanced.

"We'll begin pursuit shortly, but such an oddity deserves reporting down you think?" Waffe responded, lowering its head.

"Waffe?" It asked.

"Yes, Lord Kriegerin?"

"What would you do if you received level 2 upgrades?"

It laughed, "increase my barrier of course,"

Kriegeren shook its head, "And that's why you've yet to receive a promotion,"

"My Lord…?" It asked, squeezing its claws.

Its spear lodged right through the dummy's head, "If a warrior's plan for power is to add extra armour. It's a mere coward. Jadeite reached her position through skill. Don't forget that,"

Waffe bowed, "Understood, Lord Kriegerin,"

Waffe left. Its shadow remained.

"How did this 'Scarf Squad' enter I must wonder?" the shadow remarked, its voice distorted.

"This is below you, my Overlord,"

"Oh Gery, nothing is ever below me," it remarked. "Don't you find it suspicious that this 'Scarf Squad' snuck into Hafennest and was only noticed now?"

"Likely Twilight spies," it responded, shaking its head. "The Batlers would've noticed them otherwise,"

"Taipan obviously can't so openly investigate, but aren't Twilight Agents often silent?"

It glared at her, "My Overlord, this is *my* jurisdiction. Let me and my vassals do my job,"

"As you wish," the shadow responded.

It opened the door and slipped out of the room.

Fail-Safe

AKT II

Prey of the Pack

Dreschers looked over the gate of Wartebereich XXXIV. They checked both the Colour and Reflect Realms. One appeared with the weighted and the rope.

---

Ursa and Lyn hid in a nearby building. Ursa meditated, keeping a close eye on Wartebereich XXXIV. Lyn stood near the door, tapping her foot.

"(Glassflower, I know ya want to die, but don't bring me into this),"

"(We can't just leave them like this),"

"(Ya were the one that said we couldn't rescue em ya hypocrite)," she snapped.

"(Do you want their blood on your hands, Young Lady)?" She asked, turning to Lyn with narrowed eyes.

Lyn took a deep breath and turned the other cheek. Ursa made a thin, quiet smile at the young lady.

Syrens went off!

Ursa's eyes sharpened. She returned to keeping watch. Lyn glanced at her.
