Marie's nerves were going wild. What just happened? Sargon and I spoke about seeing each other and he just disappeared. She tried calling him back, but he didn't answer.
She became annoyed and began thinking about what could possibly have happened in Ethron to make him behave so.
It then occurred to her that she barely knew him. She was only now learning his behavior.
She rolled over in her bed on her side, looking at her white lit candle on her nightstand.
Anxiety formed inside of her as the fire flickered in her eyes.
The pouring rain and wind outside were howling like a beast in the night. She would not fall asleep tonight.
Everything inside of her was screaming for her to do a reveal spell but she had been putting it off for fear of hurting her own heart. She should not be this jealous.
"What is wrong with me?"
Unable to restrain herself any longer, she got out of bed and reached for a stick of chalk and charcoal.
Using both items, she drew a pentagram in the middle of her wooden floor. In the middle of each triangle of the pentagram, she placed one white and one black candle.
At the head of the pentagram, she lit a purple and blue candle.
She then lit incense of rose, and additional herbs. She also lit white sage and dragons' blood to cleanse her space and her energy.
When Marie was satisfied with her preparation, she placed herself in the middle of the pentagram and sat with her palms up facing the sky.
"Passion and desire have obscured my sight
Let the truth be shown to give me light." She whispered with her eyes closed.
After a few deep breaths, random images started coming to her, like she was moving through space rapidly.
She saw Sargon in her arms, causing her heart to flutter. Then there was a beautiful gold and white hallway as her vision sped through it.
She saw lots of food and guards were talking.
In a few moments, she was able to arrange all the visuals.
Sargon and King Eron had dinner. Dezerae was there. She was very beautiful.
Marie tried to relax further, or she would block the rest of the vision.
Dinner was over. Sargon went to Dezerae's room. She undressed for him.
When Dezerae straddled Sargon in her lace lingerie and spoke with her lips touching his, Marie opened her eyes as tears streamed down her face.
She couldn't bear seeing anymore. Her ability was a blessing and curse. Sometimes the truth was more painful than the lie.
Marie sat there for a long while trying to control her breathing and her aching heart.
Why was she so upset? Sargon was not hers. He was a free man who could see who he wanted to. They were just friends. That's all.
The more she tried to convince herself that she didn't want more from him, the worse she felt.
She could not deny that she felt there was so much more growing between them. The chemistry they shared was not a lie. It couldn't be, at least not on her part.
Marie dragged herself up off the floor and began clearing the candles. She covered the pentagram with a large throw rug. She had no desire to clean it all up after what she had just seen.
After confirming the candles were completely out, she placed them in a metal box to prevent them from reigniting. She then placed the box near the kitchen sink.
Marie plopped down in her bed with her arms spread out to her sides and her eyes focused on the ceiling. She couldn't even blink.
She wondered if Sargon would even care to tell her the truth. Based on the last phone call, he wasn't too eager to give any real information. He will probably just keep it between him and Dezerae.
Maybe he is better off with his kind. She is a princess as well. They can both be very powerful together. I simply don't belong. Maybe my mother is right.
The only thing left for me to do is accept who and what I am and go live a different life. She thought as she began to yawn. Her body finally grew tired from the spell and the stress of finding out the truth.
Why did her body ache for this man even after everything she had seen?
What is happening to me? She wondered.
She could feel her sex grow warm till she had to cross her legs to reduce the sensations.
How does he still have all this control over me? She thought.
In her fight to control her desires, her hands passed over her nipple which was already erect.
Marie felt like she was losing her mind. She needed to be mad at him. She needed to hate him.
How else would she get him out of her mind?
She got out of bed wearing only a thin white nightgown with nothing underneath. She opened her front door and ran outside in the pouring rain and screamed.
The moon was bright and almost full as she gazed through the rain.
"Why? Why would you do this to me?" She asked the moon goddess as the rain hid her tears.
She dropped her hands to her sides and faced the raindrops as they stung her face.
"Tell me what I am supposed to do? This feels terrible." She whispered as she lowered her face into her hands.
Her bare feet dug into the mud the rain and soil created.
Suddenly, a pair of strong arms grabbed Marie from behind, lifting her off the ground in a swift motion. She gasped and came face to face with Sargon as he carried her up the stairs, out of the rain.
Marie quietly lay her head on his shoulder as he carried her.
When they made it inside Marie's home, Sargon allowed her to stand up. Her nightgown was completely wet and see-through. He could see every curve of her body along with her erect nipples. A fire burned inside him to take her right then and there.
He gently removed a lock of hair from in front of her face, pushing it behind her ear.
"What are you doing here? How did you find me? How did you get here so quickly? She asked through chattering lips.
Sargon looked around the room and grabbed the blanket off her bed, draping it over her shoulders and pulling it tightly around her.
"Those are a lot of questions." He said.
"Questions that I would like the answers to." She said firmly as she began feeling warmer. She still felt a little weak from the spell she did earlier.
"Fair enough. You wanted to see me, and I wanted to see you. I have a tracking device on my car in case anything were to happen to you. Ethron was closer to you than it was to my Kingdom, so it worked out perfectly. He said as he kissed her cheek.
Marie immediately pulled away as the image of his lips touching Dezerae flooded her mind.
"What's wrong, and why were you out in the middle of the night getting drenched with hardly any clothing on. Is it some kind of witch thing?" Sargon asked, confused.
"What happened with Dezerae?" She asked firmly. "I am a witch. Do not lie." She warned.
Sargon took a deep breath. "I will explain it all after you take a shower and get out of these cold, wet clothes. You must be crazy, but somehow I like it." He teased.
Marie didn't fight him. She was too exhausted and knew she should rinse off and get warm.
She walked away from Sargon and pulled another nightgown out of her drawer.
Sargon went to her bathroom and ran her a bath. He looked around and found her bath products and began sprinkling lavender and rose into her bathwater.
He lit the candles that were already placed near the tub as Marie walked in.
Sargon stood up to face her. She seemed worried. He needed to fix that.
He carefully began removing her covering, giving her time to stop him if she was uncomfortable, but she didn't. Removing her garments revealed a perfectly created body.
Sargon tried not to stare too hard to make her feel self-conscious, but she awakened all of his senses at that very moment.
Marie slowly entered the bathtub one foot at a time as Sargon held her hand to guide her. When she was seated, he reached for her loofah and added lavender soap to it.
He situated himself to the rear of the tub and began washing her back and neck. He motioned his hands towards her chest, making a bubbly lather, then he released the sponge and began massaging her neck.
Marie closed her eyes and moaned as she felt all the tension she didn't know she had, slowly beginning to disappear.
Sargon's hands were so gentle, yet firm and amazing. He continued massaging as he smoothed his hands under her ribcage to cup her breasts. Marie gasped at the sensation of his strong hands massaging her breasts.
She began moving her thighs back and forth to quell her arousal as she leaned her head back to rest on the tub.
"Hmm, how do you feel?" Sargon asked as his voice vibrated in her core.
Marie bit her lip and couldn't form the worlds to leave her lips.
Sargon leaned in to kiss her.
Marie looked at him. "What happened?" She asked with a glare in her eyes.
Sargon sat back on his heels and sighed with his arms crossed loosely around her neck.
"She did try to come on to me. She had different expectations than I did. I stopped her when she got too close."
"How close?" Marie asked. She realized she was holding Sargon's arm tightly, but she didn't let go.
"She got pretty close. She asked me to marry her, and I told her no and left."
Marie sat up straight in the tub still holding on to his arm. "You told her no? Why?" She asked surprised.
Sargon leaned into her neck and kissed her, then grabbed her face gently, looking into her eyes.
"I thought you were a witch." He teased.
"I said no because before I marry for anything else, I choose to marry for love."
Marie pulled Sargon into her, kissing him deeply. She stood up on her knees, grabbing his clothing as though she would rip it off.
Sargon lifted her out of the tub, grabbed a towel, and covered her as he carried her to her bed.
He gently lay her on her bed and removed the towel.
Climbing on top of her naked body.
He began kissing her gently from her lips, down her neck, trailing to her breasts.
Marie felt lightheaded with the pleasure flowing through her body.
She pushed Sargon up and began unbuttoning his shirt.
Suddenly, Sargon's guard burst through the door as Sargon immediately pulled Marie's bedding up to cover her.
"I am sorry Alpha Sargon. There is an emergency at the castle. We must leave now!"
"What is going on?" He asked.
"It is Vianna. It's like she is possessed."
Sargon's heart sank. "Marie, I need you to come with me," Sargon said, looking at Marie pleadingly while she had the covers pulled up to her neck.
"Sargon, we need to leave now!" Marie said with fear in her eyes.
