Chapter 24 - Tantalize

Sargon found himself inside of Dezerae's room as she continued to guide him, still holding his hand.

She released his hand while she stopped him near a white leather chair. She motioned for him to sit.

Dezerae walked over to a large walk-in closet and removed the dress she wore to dinner not giving it a second thought that a man was in her room with a perfect view of her body.

Sargon pretended like he did not see what was going on.

Dezerae was left with black, lace lingerie that exposed most of her body.

Sargon took a deep breath and focused on the reason he was there. He knew Dezerae knew more than she led him to believe.

Dezerae walked over to Sargon, switching her hips as her perfect breasts bounced slightly with each step. She stopped right in front of him, shifting her weight to one hip.

"Why are you really here Sargon? Word is, you haven't had a woman since your son's mother. A king like you deserves better than that."

Sargon shifted in the seat a bit.

"I am here to find out what is going on with these rogues." He said, plainly.

Dezerae lifted one leg and rubbed her knee between his legs, then lifted it over the side of the chair, never letting her skin leave his.

She bent forward and lifted his chin with her finger, placing her lips less than an inch away from his.

"I think you have other reasons for coming here." She said with her lips touching his as she spoke.

"Is that so?" He replied.

She raised the other leg and straddled Sargon, pulling herself closely and pressing her breasts against him.

He could feel her erect nipples pressing on his body.

"We have unfinished business, Sargon."

She said as she grinded her hips on top of him, as he closed his eyes.

He could feel her heat through her lace thong.

Slowly, she began unbuttoning his shirt as she sunk her face into his neck, sucking on him. Sargon tried his best not to react.

He grabbed her by her wrists and lifted her off of him, reversed her and bent her over while he restricted her hands behind her back with one hand.

Dezerae gasped at the sudden movement.

"We need to talk." He said, standing behind of her.

"But we are talking, Sargon." Dezerae smiled as pressed her naked buttocks against him.

"This is not what I am here for. I am concerned about my kingdom, and I thought you may have had some answers.

"I can tell you anything you want to know if you give me what I want."

"What do you want, Dezerae?"

"As much as I love this position, unless you plan to utilize it properly, let me go and I will tell you." She said, breathing heavily.

Sargon let her go and took a step back.

Dezerae stood up and pulled a red, silk rob over her, then turned to come face to face with him. He could tell she was frustrated.

"I want marriage Sargon. I want our kingdoms to be united and for us to rule as king and queen. There will be no kingdom more powerful than ours united."

"So, you just want to get married for power?" Sargon asked.

"Don't be so naïve. Many people marry for different reasons. Love is overrated. Power is rewarding." She beamed as she moved closer to Sargon, snaking her arms around his neck.

"So, what do you think?"

"You are an amazing leader, but this is not the way to get what you want." He said firmly.

"So how do I get you to marry me then?" She spat.

"Make me fall in love with you." He said simply. He know that was impossible. They would never love each other.

"You know I don't believe in love Sargon."

"That is sad, Dezerae. One day you will believe in it and it will be everything you never knew you wanted." He said as Dezerae rolled her eyes.

Sargon couldn't believe what was happening.

He thought she just wanted a night of passion, not a whole husband. He wasn't willing to give her either.

"Since when do you want to marry me?"

"Why do you think I have never chosen anyone? If it wasn't you, no one else mattered.

"There is no one more powerful than you. There is no one more respected than you. I am going to be queen. Do you know how much more successful I will be with you at my side, Sargon." She said as her bright blue eyes grew wide.

"I had no idea that is what you wanted, Dezerae"

"Don't you remember the last ball your father held? We escaped into the smoke room and almost finished what I just started here, had it not been for the maid interrupting us."

"I remember." He said in a low voice.

"Well, you can't tell me that you didn't feel anything at all for me. You don't have to love someone to have feelings for them. You never know, those feelings could turn into love later on."

"Sargon felt annoyed. He could never marry someone he didn't love. However, there was no denying the power that the two of them could create together.

"I am sorry. I cannot agree to this. If I marry, it will be for love. I hope you find the right person for you. You clearly have no desire to share any further information with me so I shall see myself out." Sargon said as he kissed her hand and walked out of her bedroom.

"Let's go." He said to his guards who were patiently waiting for him to exit her room.

He walked down the hall and ran into one of King Eron's guards.

"Where is your King?" He asked hurriedly.

"Right this way King Sargon."

Sargon and his men followed behind.

They stopped at another room and opened the golden door.

"King Sargon, leaving so soon?"

"Unfortunately, I have business to attend to. Thank you for your hospitality. Dinner was great, your majesty."

"Alright, don't take so long to visit next time!" King Eron shouted as Sargon left the room with his guards.

The drive home was tense. Sargon knew Dezerae was withholding information.

A part of him felt like she had something to do with the witches and the rogues. She seemed too cocky, more than usual.

Sargon picked up the phone and dialed Marie's number. She picked up on the third ring.

"Tell me something sweet." Sargon instructed as Marie answered.

"Hello, handsome, King Alpha who makes my heart flutter." She replied.

Sargon sighed. Your voice is everything right now.

"What is wrong Sargon. It is so late. Did something happen?"

"Nothing. I just left Etheron." He sighed.

Marie's stomach sank.

"How did it go?" She asked barely above a whisper.

Sargon became quiet.

"Let's just say it was not as I had planned and there may be a real problem. I need more time to figure it out and I need you to find out what's happening on your end."

"I am trying, Sargon. I do believe we have found out who the witch is. Tomorrow we find her location."

"That sounds great." He said then went quiet.

"Marie, I really wish I could see you right now. I need to hold you, breathe you in, kiss you."

Marie's face felt flushed.

"I wish you were here too. This little house is so quiet and empty without you."

"Do you want to see me?" He asked.

"Of, course I do, Sargon. Being away from you is really difficult."

"I know the feeling. Give me a moment. I will call you back." He said as the phone hung up in Marie's ear.
