Marie burst through her bedroom door and hurriedly cleaned up her ritual spread as soon as she entered. She began rummaging through her satchel for a few items and put them in a smaller satchel. She knew exactly which spell she would need to mask her thoughts from Sybil.
After cleaning up, she took a shower and washed her hair to cleanse herself before her next spell. She needed to be meticulous with every step she took from here on out.
She created a smaller protection circle and cast her spell. She would need to cast a similar spell on Sargon so they could communicate privately. Someone needed to know what she was doing. After all, she was in the wolves den. At any moment they could become suspicious of her actions and cause a whole new set of issues.
Marie reached into her satchel and pulled out her mother's talisman. She placed the gem around her neck, holding it close to her. She could feel a strengthening energy as she held it.
She picked up her mother's spellbook and went straight to the back of it. Smoothing her hand over the hidden spell, she wondered if she should cast it.
Feeling completely unsure of herself, she took a clear quartz pendulum out of her satchel and took a deep breath.
Should I do the spell? She asked with her mind.
The pendulum remained completely still. For the first time ever, she did not receive a response. Marie was completely confused. She placed the pendulum in the small satchel, along with her mother's spellbook, and left her room.
She walked down the hall to Sargon's room. He seemed as though he had just showered. His hair was still damp, and he wore dark grey sweatpants. He wore no shirt and Marie couldn't help but stare at his perfection.
"You are back." He said with a smile.
"Yes. I had a few things to do. I need you to cooperate with what I am about to do to you." She instructed.
"Am I going to like it?" He asked teasingly.
"It is not for you to like. It is for you to be protected." She replied.
"I will do whatever you need. But there is something I need from you first." He said, looking at her greedily as he walked up to Marie and took her belongings out of her hand, placing them on the table near the door. He pressed his body against hers and blocked her against the wall with his hands on either sides of her.
With her eyes closed, she inhaled his sandalwood scent. She instantly wrapped her arms around his neck as though she was in a trance.
Sargon lifted her chin, kissing her lips softly. Marie deepened her kiss as Sargon lifted her up in one motion and Marie found herself laying on his bed with their bodies pressed against each other.
Marie's body grew heated with every kiss and motion of his body against hers. He spread her legs gently with his knee as her body followed his guide. She slowly wrapped her legs around his waist pulling him closer to her as her core became moist, while it yearned from him to satisfy its urges.
Sargon trailed kisses to Marie's ear and nibbled on her lobe gently. "When we are done tonight, you have to sleep in this bed with me. I am not going to sleep without you once you are in this castle." He said in a low voice.
"As you wish, your majesty," Marie replied softly as she ran her fingers through his hair and looked into his hazel eyes.
"Good girl." He smiled.
Marie was addicted to the feeling Sargon brought to her. She could barely focus with him so near to her.
"Sargon, the sooner I get this done. The sooner you have me to yourself. So, until tonight when I am in your bed and that door is closed off to the rest of the world, you must follow my instructions." She said.
"As you wish, my future queen." He replied.
Marie's heart skipped at his words. Did he just call me the future queen? She wondered if she was hearing correctly. She couldn't tell if it was Sargon's words or his behavior that caused her to feel lightheaded. Either way, she needed to get herself together and move forward as planned.
Marie gave Sargon one last soft kiss as she shifted from underneath him. She grabbed her items from the table near the door and went over to a larger table in the corner of his room and prepared to cast the same spell on him as she cast on herself.
"Come here." She said as she sat in one of the chairs near the table. Sargon followed.
"I need you to close your eyes and believe. Believe what my voice tells you and relax. Don't say a word. Just nod if you are in accord." She said as Sargon nodded.
Marie reached for Sargon's hands and formed a circle while they both closed their eyes as she cast the spell. He could hear every word through her thoughts. He became slightly frightened, but he followed her instructions regardless.
When the spell was complete. Marie smiled. "So, how was your first time being under my spell?" She asked in her mind.
"This is not the first time I have been put under your spell." He replied.
Marie blushed, wondering how someone could be so amazing to her.
"No one is to know about this. This is a protection to block Sybil from hearing my intentions and yours. She cannot read my mind or yours now, but we can communicate with each other." She said.
Sargon looked at her with a lifted brow.
"Yes, I can hear your thoughts if I want to, so behave." She warned as Sargon's face became flushed.
"Could you always hear them?" He asked.
"Yes. But I never tried to. Your body language and actions told me all I needed to know." She smiled.
Sargon looked relieved. He wasn't sure if Marie could handle all that he wanted from her. He wanted her to be ready for him. He and his wolf were in agreement about her from the first time he held her.
"Are you ready to go save Vianna?" She asked Sargon in her mind.
"Let's go. She needs you."
