Five of Kenji's vehicles pulled up outside the mansion. Around 20 armed goons, armed with automatic rifles, exited the vehicles. Rahul stood hidden behind Kenji, his face pale with fear and greed.
Kenji shouted, "
Sawan! Come out and hand Komal over to us, and perhaps your death will be easier!"
There was no response from inside the mansion. Suddenly, all the lights in the mansion went out in a flash. The entire area was plunged into pitch darkness. Sawan had cut off the mansion's main power grid.
Inside the room, Sawan took Komal's hand and led her to a secure basement. "Don't move from here. Don't make a sound until I return,
" Sawan ordered. Komal saw that there was no humanity in Sawan's eyes; he looked like a 7-foot monster.
Sawan pulled out two daggers and a silenced pistol from under his coat. He took off his shoes so that his footsteps wouldn't be heard.
Four of Kenji's goons broke through the main door and entered. They searched for a way out by the light of a torch. Sawan was hanging upside down from a ceiling beam. As soon as the last goon passed by, Sawan grabbed his neck with lightning speed and pulled him up.
"Crack!" There was a sound of a neck breaking, but in the darkness the other three goons didn't hear anything.
Just then Sawan emerged from the darkness like a shadow. He stabbed one goon in the eye and fired two silenced bullets into the chest of the other. The third goon was about to scream in panic when Sawan covered his mouth and slammed him against the wall. His head exploded like a watermelon.
When Kenji, standing outside, heard no news from inside, he tried to go in himself, Rahul following him. As soon as they reached the hall, Sawan threw a flash grenade.
"Bang!" A bright flash of light blinded Kenji and Rahul. Sawan seized the opportunity and kicked Kenji in the chest. Kenji fell against the wall. Sawan picked up Kenji's gun and shot him in the leg.
"You challenged my existence, Kenji," Sawan's voice echoed through the hall. Kenji groaned in pain.
"You... you are not human!" Sawan said with a cold smile, "I am the truth of all seven worlds that you will never understand."
Sawan fired a bullet right through Kenji's forehead. Finished.
Now it was Rahul's turn. Rahul was cowering in a corner, crying. "Sawan... brother... leave me! Tanya provoked me! Komal is yours, take her!"
Sawan reached Rahul and lifted him by his collar, dangling him in the air. Sawan's face was covered in blood. "
You considered Komal a 'bet,' right? You betrayed her, tormented her." Sawan began breaking Rahul's fingers one by one. Rahul's screams echoed throughout the mansion.
Sawan threw him to the floor and said, "
Dying will be very easy for you, Rahul. I will take you to a world where time stands still and pain never ends."
Sawan returned to the basement, covered in blood. Komal, seeing him, recoiled. "You... you killed everyone?"
Sawan came to her and took Komal in his arms. Komal could smell the blood on her, but she felt strangely safe. Sawan whispered in her ear, "
There is no Rahul anymore, no Kenji anymore. Now there is only you and me. In this world, and in every world to come."
Just then, Komal saw a piece of paper on Sawan's desk. It had a map of seven worlds, and in each world, a bloody mark was placed next to Komal and Sawan's names. Komal realized that Sawan's madness wasn't a lifetime in the making, but a lifetime of eons.
The hall of the mansion was silent, except for Rahul's sobs. Kenji's body had gone cold. Sawan wiped the blood from his eyes and moved towards Komal. When Komal saw the map of the seven worlds on Sawan's desk, her fear turned to anger.
"What is all this, Sawan? Are you pretending to save me or are you trapping me in your madness?"
Komal screamed. "You broke Rahul's fingers, you killed people... You are not Sawan, you are that same cruel Aryan!"
Sawan paused. A faint smile appeared on his face.
"Sawan is dead, Komal. Sawan was the one you saw in this world. Aryan is the one who searches for you in every world. Tonight, I will show you what is hidden in the scriptures."
Sawan led Komal deeper, to the lowest part of the mansion. There was a huge circular stone door carved with strange Japanese and Sanskrit words. Sawan placed his hand on the stone. Blood flowed from his hand, filling those words.
Suddenly, the stone began to spin, and a bright blue light filled the room. Komal's eyes widened. Beyond that light, another world was clearly visible—the sky was red, and the trees shone like silver.
Saavan dragged the half-dead Rahul to the portal.
"You don't deserve this world, Rahul. You insulted Komal's love. Now you will go to a world where betrayers have to relive the same moment over and over again for eternity."
Saavan pushed Rahul into the blue light. Rahul's screams vanished inside the portal. Komal trembled. She now understood that Saavan was no ordinary 'agent', but the 'gatekeeper' between these worlds.
Saavan extended his hand to Komal. "Komal, this world isn't made for you. There's only pain and people like Rahul. Come with me... to the world where I've created a paradise for you. There will be no Kenji, no office. Just you and me."
Komal looked into that blue light and then into Sawan's eyes. She felt Sawan's love as passionate as it was devastation. "If I go with you, will I forget myself?"
Sawan caressed her face. "You won't forget yourself, you will find me. We will unite Aryan and Komal of all seven worlds. We will be complete."
Just then, the sound of sirens blared outside the mansion again. But this time it wasn't the police. These were the same men in 'black suits' who had given Sawan the message at the metro station. They were now entering the mansion.
Their leader entered and bowed before Sawan.
"Boss, mission accomplished. 'Subject Rahul' has been eliminated. Now it's time to shut down this world (Realm 1)."
Komal was shocked. "
Boss? Saavan, why are these people calling you Boss? Was this all a play?"
Saavan looked at Komal, his eyes now completely black. "
It wasn't a play, Komal... it was a 'simulation.' I was seeing if you could be happy with this world's Rahul. When you chose him, I had to erase him. Now we have to go back to our real world."
