Chapter 8 - chapter 8

The darkness was so thick that Sawan couldn't even see his own fingers. The room's walls reeked of dampness and the stench of old blood. For Sawan, the distinction between day and night had ceased to exist. For the past month, this room had become his entire world.

There wasn't a single part of Sawan's body that wasn't covered in wounds. He had been tortured multiple times. From hot iron rods to knife points, his body bore countless scars. The knife wounds on his throat had now turned into dark marks. As soon as silence fell outside the room, Sawan's screams would suddenly echo, as if someone were cutting him from the inside.

One month... and Sawan was unrecognizable. For food, he was given only half a piece of dry bread and a little dirty water once a week. His bones were starting to protrude through his skin. His face had become emaciated,

resembling a skull. His eyes were sunken in their sockets, but they held a strange, wild glint. He would huddle in a corner, trembling and muttering,

I... I'll do anything... just don't kill me.

Then the door opened. The same torturer entered. He had a sick smile on his face. He grabbed Sawan by the hair and dragged him. Sawan looked at him with terrified eyes. When the man crossed all limits of cruelty and tried to attack Sawan's most vulnerable body parts, Sawan's soul trembled

He started banging his head against the ground like a madman. 'Thud! Thud! Thud!' Drops of blood splattered on the floor. He pleaded,

I'll do whatever you say, please! Let me go!" He felt that his parents, from whom he was running away, were like angels compared to this monster.

When the pain became unbearable, a sharp explosion went off in Sawan's mind. Suddenly, he remembered a part of the doctor's cabin that the shock of the accident had suppressed. The doctor had told his father

> "Sawan has seven personalities hidden inside him. These are seven layers that will unfold one by one. The first will whisper innocence and good things to him (Kavya). The second will fill him with hatred towards his loved ones. But the third... that's the 'survival mode'. It will awaken when Sawan's existence is on the verge of being wiped out.

In the present moment, a figure emerged from the darkness before Sawan. It wasn't a man. It was a completely black, hazy, and terrifying shadow—Sawan's own third personality.

A heavy, echoing voice boomed in Sawan's ears: "Wake up, Sawan! Kill him... If you don't drink his blood, he will tear you apart. Kill him! This is the only way!

Sawan couldn't understand whether this voice was his own or that of the 'black shadow'. He only knew that his hands were no longer trembling. A new power was awakening within him—a murderous instinct.
