Chapter 12 - chapter 12

Five more months passed. The office cabin was quiet. The boss looked at Saavan and said, "

Look, Aryan, you were a contract employee. Your one-year term is up today. The company can't make you permanent, so today is your last day. You can leave now."

Aryan's face remained unblinking. He left the office and sat on a bench. Suddenly, he started laughing hysterically. His mind reminded him that he hadn't been fired, but rather that he had "cleaned up" this city. He said to himself, "Come on, it's time to leave this city."

Aryan was standing on the roadside when a girl approached him and asked, "Excuse me, can you tell me where the metro station is?"

Aryan slowly turned his head and glanced at her. Suddenly, the scene changed before his eyes. The girl didn't appear ordinary to him, but rather, she seemed to be enveloped in a thick black smoke. Aryan's

"third personality" screamed from within—"Next victim!"

Aryan regained control and said in a cool voice, "Catch a taxi from the front; I'll take you there."

Aryan returned to his cabin to collect his luggage. His co-workers came to him. Some were shaking hands, others were hugging. "

Hey Aryan! Be sure to come to the party tonight; we'll celebrate your farewell!" Everyone was laughing.

Aryan also said "bye" to everyone with a fake smile, but there was no emotion within him. He picked up his bag and left the office building.

On the way, he met an old acquaintance who called him by his childhood name—"Hey Saavan! I heard you work for a large contract company. My mom speaks highly of you."

Hearing the name 'Saavan', memories of childhood horrors, torture, and bloodshed flashed through his mind. (Saavan) said irritably, "

My contract is over now. I change cities every year because I get fired... I don't know why."

He started laughing again. He knew why he changed cities every year—so that he wouldn't blame Aryan for the 'black smoke' deaths. Walking down the street, he muttered, "

Now I'll return to this 'business' again. In a new city, with a new name."
