Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

~JEALOUSY đŸ”„

Grace the goddess is being treated at ICU, while noah have to follow up freya. He completely ignored what he felt earlier in the hospital doorway infront of freya. Its his job to follow her for the soul.

Noah learned the feeling before he understood it.

It began as irritation.

Freya was sitting in the hospital café, hands wrapped around a paper cup she wasn't drinking from. She had changed out of her gown into a soft sweater, one sleeve slipping slightly off her shoulder. Sunlight filtered through the glass windows, catching in her hair.

Across from her sat a boy Noah had never seen before. He was human—obviously so. Too warm. Too loud. He leaned forward when he laughed, elbows on the table, completely unaware of how close he sat to her.

Too close.

Noah stood a few steps away, unseen, watching.

The boy said something that made Freya smile. Not the small, polite smile she gave strangers—but a real one. The kind that reached her eyes.

Noah's jaw tightened.

He frowned at the reaction, confused by it. This was normal. Humans talked to each other. They smiled. They laughed. This boy meant nothing.

So why did Noah feel the urge to step between them?

Noah's chest burned.

He inhaled sharply and froze.

That—

That was new.

Demons did not feel heat beneath their ribs. They did not feel tension coil in their stomachs.

Freya laughed again, softer this time. "You're ridiculous," she said.

The boy grinned. "You love it."

Stop, he told himself. This was unnecessary. Illogical. She was a name on a list. A task. Nothing more.

And yet—

his feet moved.

He stepped forward, appearing beside their table as if he had always been there. The boy startled slightly, blinking at him.

"Oh—hey," the boy said. "Didn't see you there."

Freya looked up.

Her smile faltered, just a little, then returned—different somehow. Softer. Quieter.

"There you are," she said.

Noah ignored the boy completely. His attention was fixed on Freya, on the faint shadows beneath her eyes, on the way her fingers trembled slightly around the cup.

"You shouldn't be here," Noah said.

The words came out colder than he intended.

The boy raised an eyebrow. "Uh
 excuse me?"

Freya glanced between them. " this is Theo. He's my neighbor."

Theo held out his hand. "Nice to meet you."

Noah stared at the offered hand like it was an insult.

"No," he said.

Theo blinked. "No
 what?"

"No," Noah repeated. "Nice to meet you."

Freya stared at him, then laughed—short and surprised. "You're rude."

Good.

He wanted to be.

Theo chuckled awkwardly. "Well, I should probably—uh—go. My mom's waiting."

He stood, gave Freya a quick wave, and left.

The moment he was gone, the café felt quieter.

Too quiet.

Freya tilted her head, studying Noah. "What was that about, why and who are you?"

Noah didn't answer. He was too busy trying to understand the ache spreading through him, the strange heaviness that hadn't faded with Theo's absence.

"I don't like him," Noah said finally.

Freya smiled faintly. "You don't even know him."

"I know enough."

" that's none of your business "

" exactly, then why is it that complicated "

" complicated? But what? "

" none of your business "

" you interfered in my talk and said you don't like him, was that your business man? "

" I don't know and I don't care " noah said left that table.

While freya is still surprised about who he really is and always felt his presence around herself. He haven't introduced himself how rude he is. ' tsk! '!

" wait is he a stalker??? " no way. But I want to know who is he, maybe I should talk to him.

Yes let's find him.💗
