~ GOD'S DECISION
Grace suddenly disappeared.
Noah didn't look after her. Still stuck in her words.
Harsh and cruel twist?
If it's for her that's completely fine actually that's good I don't have to feel the rediculous feelings. But, for me what's that even for. That's not fair. Grace, you can't do this to me think about it. answer me what should I do?
Noah actually screamed this words but none of the humans listened him say that expect grace and --- freya.
Freya sitting near a window of her hospital room suddenly heard that scream. She was confused and completely unsure about that voice. "Is it him? Why? and who's grace, about what he is talking?"freya questioned herself.
She wore her slippers ran towards the the corridor out of her room and she looked around for 2-3 minutes and saw nothing. Her sister gargi asked her why she ran suddenly out of her room. " I heard someone's screaming, that sounded familiar to me " she answered.
"what are you talking about I heard nothing. You shouldn't ran like this. You know what you needed to be treated". Gargi replied her taking her to the room.
What what was that then. Freya kept thinking about that
Am I ill or what, maybe I need to be treat well. She talked to herself. Completely confused about that she decided to have sleep as she had nothing to do there in hospital expect being bored.
~Noah's pov
She's so cruel the goddess of ending who can't end my life. What I did in My past that I showed up as a demon.
Whatever is that so and the girl what was her name, ohh freya I wish she end up with this life soon so I can be normal.
I straight went on my spot ofcourse the hospital terrace I can smoke here. I'm not human but I can do everything a human do expect the silly emotions and at all.
He stared at the cigarette, irritated. Humans used this to escape. He had never needed escape before. He crushed it beneath his boot, the ember dying instantly.
"Pathetic," he muttered.
Freya, The name surfaced again, uninvited.
He clenched his jaw, forcing the thought away. She was nothing. A soul. A deadline. That was all she was supposed to be. Grace had warned him—no, threatened him—with a future he didn't understand.
A harsh and cruel twist.
Noah laughed bitterly. "Cruel to whom?" he asked the empty night.
If Freya was meant to die, then let it be quick. Clean. That would end this confusion. End the noise in his chest. End the feelings that were not his to feel.
He closed his eyes.
And that was when he felt it.
A presence—fragile, warm, human.
Noah stiffened.
He turned slowly.
Freya stood a few steps away from the terrace door, hospital gown fluttering softly in the night breeze. Her hair was slightly messy, slippers uneven on her feet. She looked tired. Pale. Real.
"You're not supposed to be here," Noah said sharply.
Freya swallowed. "Neither are you," she replied. "But you're always here."
His heartbeat stuttered.
She stepped closer, eyes searching his face with a mix of confusion and something else—fear, maybe. Or curiosity.
"I heard you," she said quietly.
Noah froze. "You shouldn't have."
"You were screaming," Freya continued. "You said someone's name. Grace."
She hesitated. "Who is she?"
Silence stretched between them.
"She's no one," he lied.
Freya didn't believe him. She never did when he lied.
"You looked… angry," she said. "And sad. At the same time."
Noah looked away.
Demons weren't meant to be seen like this. Unmasked. Exposed. If Grace were watching now, she would already be deciding.
Freya hugged her arms around herself. "You don't feel like a doctor," she said suddenly.
"You don't talk like one. You don't look at people like one," she said. "You look at them like you're waiting for something to end."
Her words struck deeper than any weapon.
Noah stepped back. "Go back inside."
"Why?" she asked. "Why do you care where I am?"
Because you're dying.
Because I was sent for you.
Because I don't want to take your soul.
He said none of it.
Instead, he said, "Because staying near me isn't safe."
Freya studied him for a long moment. Then, softly, she said, "Neither is staying away."
Before Noah could respond, footsteps echoed from behind the door.
"Freya!" Gargi's voice called. "What are you doing here?"
Freya flinched.
" doctor said you to rest, just go to the bed its late now " gargi said. Suddenly saw noah there with a mixed expression of confusion and questions.
Freya also left and went to bed. While noah stood still so long with many of thoughts and screamed " why? Why are you still alive can't you die earlier ".
Freya heard that.' What was that even for is he wishing for someone's death why ' freya mummerd to herself.
Above them all, in a hospital bed where machines whispered borrowed life into failing veins, Grace closed her eyes.
She had seen enough.
And the decision she had been avoiding
could no longer wait.🌠
