Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

A mass of white light rose from Mo Yichen's eyes, slowly expanding… slowly expanding… until it completely surrounded him.

When the white light finally dissipated, Mo Yichen found himself standing in an infinite space—on top of clouds. The clouds beneath his feet were soft, while the sky above him was a clear azure blue.

Endless white clouds surrounded him, with a boundless blue sky overhead.

Mo Yichen jumped lightly. It felt like jumping on a sofa—only much softer. He moved his hands and feet, feeling as though he had entered another dimension where Earth's gravity was greatly reduced.

Looking up, he noticed Arabic numerals in the upper-right corner of his vision:

9:58… 9:57…

Mo Yichen immediately understood that this was the system's countdown for the experience duration.

The realism of the game shocked him. Just as he was marveling at it, a thunderous roar erupted not far away. A violent gust of wind followed, forcing Mo Yichen to stagger as he struggled to keep his balance, unable to even open his eyes.

When the wind finally subsided, Mo Yichen opened his eyes.

The sight before him made his legs go weak, and he collapsed directly onto the ground.

The powerful wind hadn't knocked him down—but what he saw now truly terrified him.

Before him stood a dragon.

A real five-clawed golden dragon, straight from ancient Eastern legends!

There were no computer effects, no jagged edges or distortions. By Mo Yichen's estimation, the dragon was over fifty meters long, existing with an overwhelming sense of realism as it hovered before him in midair.

Compared to it, Mo Yichen wasn't even as tall as one of the dragon's horns.

The golden dragon lowered its head and nodded slightly toward him before bringing its massive face close.

"Stand upon my head, master of this world," a majestic male voice resonated from the dragon's mouth. "I will take you to inspect the world that belongs to you."

The dragon's words completely stunned Mo Yichen. His vision spun, and he nearly fainted on the spot.

Trembling, he climbed onto the dragon's enormous head—and the dragon immediately took flight.

Terrified, Mo Yichen clung tightly to one of the dragon's horns as clouds rushed past his eyes and the dragon dove downward.

His eyes were squeezed shut, while the howling wind roaring in his ears testified to their terrifying speed. Mo Yichen had always been extremely afraid of heights.

After flying for some time, the familiar scent of grass and soil slowly entered his nose. He cautiously opened his eyes. Although they were still flying high in the sky, the dense forest below was already faintly visible.

"You may let go and stand freely," the dragon's majestic voice sounded again. "Clinging like that is unworthy of a dragon."

Embarrassed, Mo Yichen loosened his grip on the dragon's horn. To his surprise, his feet felt firmly planted, as if nailed to the dragon's head.

Once he calmed down, Mo Yichen struck a dramatic pose—arms spread wide—like Jack and Rose standing at the bow in Titanic.

Standing proudly atop the dragon's head.

The dragon accelerated, soaring over dense forests, vast rivers, ancient cities, and rolling mountain ranges. Time passed unnoticed amid the breathtaking scenery.

"Damn, this is too exciting!" Mo Yichen exclaimed in shock. For the sheer realism and thrill alone, he had already decided to buy the helmet.

At that moment, a beeping sound echoed in his ears.

Beep… beep…

A system voice sounded:

"Dear user, an external call request has been received. Would you like to connect?"

So it even had this function?

Who could be calling?

"Yes," Mo Yichen replied after a moment of thought.

"Hello, sir. I'm Gu Yanshi, your experience guide. You have three minutes remaining. May I ask if your experience has been pleasant?"

Her sweet voice rang out.

"Very good! I've decided to buy one—ah!"

The dragon suddenly turned, causing Mo Yichen to shout in excitement.

"Thank you for supporting our company," Gu Yanshi said politely. "Our products include a standard helmet for 5,000 yuan with 80% realism, and an advanced helmet for 7,000 yuan with 90% realism and a health pod—"

Before she could finish, Mo Yichen interrupted her enthusiastically.

"How realistic is the helmet I'm using right now?"

"80% realism, sir—"

She was interrupted again.

"Give me the best one. The money is in the left chest pocket of my coat. Buy it for me."

At that moment, the giant dragon carried Mo Yichen to the peak of a snow-covered mountain. Born and raised in the south, Mo Yichen had never seen such a sight. Immersed in the breathtaking scenery, he didn't want to be disturbed—especially since the experience time was running out.

"Very well, sir. Thank you once again for your support."

With her mission accomplished, Gu Yanshi ended the connection.
