Chapter 27 - chapter 27 ruined Reputation

Chapter 27 Ruined Reputation

Wenzhi's heart tightened. She was about to call back when another message from Chief Purser Xu popped up.

Chief Xu: Wenzhi, bring Mo Tingyan out to meet me. I'll wait thirty minutes. If you don't show up, don't blame me for posting your little relationship on the company website for everyone to enjoy.

Wenzhi's grip on her phone tightened.

Despicable.

She had no choice—she had to tell Mo Tingyan.

But instead of getting angry, Mo Tingyan looked at the photos, and a curve of interest—almost amused—lifted at the corner of his unruly lips.

"What are you laughing at?" Wenzhi snapped. "Chief Xu is vicious. If she wants revenge on you, she really will expose us!"

Mo Tingyan ruffled her still-damp hair, eyes calm and dangerous. "Why panic? Doesn't she have weaknesses in our hands too?" He tilted his chin. "Go change. I'll go with you."

Wenzhi exhaled slowly. He was right—they held each other's leverage.

First, meet. See what she wanted.

Mo Tingyan drove her to the bar Chief Xu specified. Because there was no space at the entrance, Wenzhi got out while he drove to the underground garage.

Waiting by the door, she suddenly felt two burly men approach from behind.

"Miss Wen? Sister Xu sent us to bring you in."

Wenzhi stepped back warily. "I'll go in when my friend—"

They didn't even let her finish before grabbing her arms and dragging her inside.

She struggled, but the doorman and bodyguards at the door didn't even look her way.

A harsh realization struck her—

This place belonged to Chief Xu.

No wonder the valet insisted Mo Tingyan go to the basement with no other exits. They had planned this.

But knowing Mo Tingyan was nearby steadied her heart. She stopped resisting and let them take her.

Inside a private room, Chief Purser Xu sat on the sofa with arrogant leisure, eyes cold as she looked down on Wenzhi.

Wenzhi brushed off the men restraining her and sat opposite Xu, composed and steady.

Seeing her calm, Xu's lips curled. "You've got guts."

"Not too bad," Wenzhi replied evenly.

Xu noticed Wenzhi glancing at the door and sneered, "You don't need to look. He won't be coming."

Wenzhi frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Hard to understand?" Xu chuckled. "My husband already invited him into another private room."

Meanwhile, in that other private room, Mo Tingyan sat opposite Hao Xuguang, his eyes narrowing at the sight of the lecherous man.

The pudgy middle-aged man poured Mo Tingyan a glass of wine and pushed it toward him, giving him a look full of filthy implication.

"Come now, Xiao Mo. I'm giving you this drink."

Facing him was no longer the playful, teasing Mo Tingyan Wenzhi knew.

This Mo Tingyan radiated the deadly aura of a top predator, shadows swirling around him. His dark eyes were like blades.

"With you?" he said coldly. "You think you're worthy?"

Hao Xuguang's back prickled with fear. But remembering Mo was "just" a pilot, he forced a smug expression.

"You care about that woman, Wenzhi, don't you? Then you really should drink it. Otherwise… the one who suffers won't be you."

Back in the other room, Wenzhi went cold as she thought of Hao Xuguang's twisted tendencies.

"You know your husband is gay?" she asked, voice icy.

Chief Xu smirked. "Why else would I invite both of you here and split you up?"

Wenzhi grabbed her collar and yanked her forward. "What are you trying to do?"

Xu laughed wildly. "What else? Just making sure Hao Xuguang has a good time. As long as he's satisfied, anything I want, he'll hand to me. We each get what we need."

She was helping her husband hunt—

for men.

Insane.

Being gay isn't shameful; forcing someone is unforgivable.

Mo Tingyan, a straight man, if he were really…

He'd be traumatized for life.

Wenzhi shoved Xu onto the sofa, forcing herself to calm down.

"Where are they?" she demanded, towering over her. "Say it, or I'm calling the police."

Xu swirled her wine glass lazily. "And if you do? You think this kind of thing can be explained at a police station? If Hao Xuguang denies everything, you'll be the one accused of slander."

Wenzhi raised her phone. "You think I came unprepared?"

Xu scoffed. "You recorded me? This entire bar belongs to Hao Xuguang. You think I'll let you walk out with that recording?"

Wenzhi's expression didn't change. Her eyes sharpened like a blade.

"I didn't just record today. Last time, when Hao Xuguang harassed Mo Tingyan, I recorded everything too. Made multiple copies. You think you can erase them all? Imagine these recordings going public…"

She leaned closer, smiling coldly.

"Chief Purser Xu—no, Xu the Gay-Beard Wife—how will you hold your head up then?"

Xu's face darkened instantly.

Wenzhi relaxed, even mimicking Xu's mocking tone.

"So, Chief Xu—do you prefer public ruin? Or do you want to end this farce?"

Xu Ailin had worked ten years at Jianghang. She didn't want to throw it away because of her husband's secrets.

But she clearly didn't want Wenzhi to have it easy either.

After a long silence, she finally said, "They're in Room 1 on the third floor. But even if you run now… you won't make it in time."
