Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Emma's Downfall

Chapter 28: Emma's Downfall

The next morning.

Bathroom.

Emma pocketed an empty bottle of glue and walked out with a natural expression.

She elegantly sat down by the church window.

"Your breakfast."

William brought bread and milk.

After all, she was the financier; he still had to provide the necessary food and drink.

Because of his long-term spiritual practice, William didn't need to eat as much.

"Good morning."

Emma smiled and greeted him, as if yesterday's incident hadn't happened.

Because of the failure in the bathroom, Emma made no other moves all night, so William's many preparations were useless.

"Aren't you eating?"

Seeing William staring at her, Emma took a bite of bread and asked.

"Already ate," William said perfunctorily.

Emma chewed and nodded.

After all, her body was still small; only by ensuring sufficient nutrition could she have the energy to prepare for the next plan.

Just like that, she finished the breakfast on the table.

But she found that the priest opposite was still staring at her.

This made Emma feel a trace of... something wrong.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" She frowned slightly.

"It's about time."

But William didn't answer; instead, he mumbled something.

Emma was about to ask again, but suddenly felt her stomach churn, followed by pain.

"What did you give me!"

She clutched her stomach with a pained expression.

"Added a little laxative to the milk," William answered with a smile.

He had to start today's spiritual practice later, and such an important matter couldn't be interrupted by Emma.

So he found something for her to do in advance.

"You!"

Emma gritted her teeth and pointed at William, but then her thighs tightened.

Something was coming out!

So she didn't dare stay any longer, stood up slowly, and walked awkwardly toward the bathroom.

On the way, she didn't dare walk too fast, because a big movement would...

Beside her, William was very satisfied with his masterpiece, and only then began today's coursework.

Inside the bathroom.

Emma hesitated facing the toilet.

This morning, while he wasn't up, she specially took out the super glue she had prepared in advance.

Then she smeared it all over the toilet seat.

Of course, after learning from last night's lesson, she had set traps in both bathrooms today!

So for Emma—

To sit or not to sit, that was the question.

A moment later.

The gurgling sound of her stomach made the choice for her.

Emma took off her skirt with a gloomy face and sat heavily on the toilet.

...

On the other side.

William completed his daily spiritual practice coursework.

With the study of the Church's sacred meanings, he felt his mental power getting better and better.

And he faintly sensed a force growing continuously in his body.

He guessed this was the Holy Power mentioned in the scriptures.

And when making holy water, he could also guide this power by chanting prayers, thereby creating holy water of different ages.

The same applied to other holy artifacts.

William meditated under the holy statue for a while before getting up and going to the reception room.

He estimated the dosage of the medicine, guessing Emma should be about done by now.

But the entire church was very quiet; Emma was nowhere to be seen.

As everyone knows, when a brat becomes quiet, they usually have caused trouble.

So William became fully alert, starting from the entrance of the reception room, checking every inch for possible hidden dangers.

But ten minutes later.

"Strange, no ambush?"

William was a bit surprised, so he walked suspiciously toward the bathroom.

At this moment inside the bathroom, Emma clenched her fists tightly.

She had finished her business more than ten minutes ago.

But afterward, she encountered the most worrying problem as expected—she couldn't stand up.

She tried to pry it with her hands, tear it forcefully, but all failed.

Even more fatal was that because she was in a hurry just now, she didn't take toilet paper when she came in.

Originally, there was paper in the bathroom, but after she set it up in the morning, she casually placed it on the sink, which was just out of reach from the toilet.

This meant...

Emma hesitated for a long time.

Call William for help, and then suffer glorious social death.

Or wait for William to discover her, and suffer passive social death.

A moment later, fate made the choice for her.

William knocked on the door: "Planning to live in there?"

He touched his nose as he said this—did I really give her too much?

Unexpectedly, Emma's voice came from inside.

"I... need your help."

Emma's voice sounded trembling, and seemed a bit... hesitant?

William immediately took three steps back, keeping a safe distance from the bathroom door.

Emma asking him for help? Did he look like a chicken?

But out of humanitarianism, William still asked.

So Emma told him what happened.

The corner of William's mouth twitched after hearing this.

This girl... really needed a beating.

For humans, the toilet at home was undoubtedly an important comrade-in-arms.

When you have experienced the fierce scene of hundreds of people snatching toilets when getting up early for work.

Or feeling unwell while shopping outside, holding your breath outside the toilet door, praying not to dirty your eyes after pushing the door open.

You will understand the preciousness of the toilet at home.

It always waits for you cleanly at home, serving only you forever.

"Truly reckless youth." William shook his head secretly.

Fortunately, because of spiritual practice, his demand for this aspect was getting less and less.

"Put your pants on properly."

William instructed.

Creeeeak.

He carefully pushed open the bathroom door, poking his head in to check if it was safe behind the door.

Then the ceiling.

...

Although Emma didn't look like she was lying, given her reputation, he had to be guarded.

Originally, Emma felt ashamed and turned her head to one side when William came in.

But after waiting for a while and not seeing him come over, she couldn't help looking.

She saw this damn priest standing at the door, afraid to come in!

Even more excessive was that he had stuffed two paper balls in his nose.

This... this... made Emma feel intense shame!

Five minutes later, William confirmed the bathroom was safe.

Only then did he come to Emma's side.

She was currently sitting upright on the toilet, feet dangling in the air.

Although her skirt wasn't properly worn, at least she wouldn't be exposed.

Seeing William's gaze, Emma snorted coldly and turned her head away.

William shrugged and checked her condition.

Then he rummaged out a card in the bathroom.

Before attempting to separate Emma from the glue on the toilet, he habitually pressed the flush button.

A moment later, William found that the glue couldn't be removed at all.

No choice; to restrict William's movement, Emma had specifically chosen the strongest bonding setting.

A few minutes later, William declared complete failure.

He took out the paper balls; it was uncomfortable stuffing them for too long.

"Huff..."

Just taking a breath, William's face changed instantly.

"You... didn't wipe clean?"

He frowned and stared at Emma.

After learning that she hadn't wiped at all, William immediately leaned back tactically.

Seeing his disgusted look, Emma gritted her teeth.

Her self-proclaimed elegance, cleanliness, perfection, maturity... were completely torn apart at this moment.

Her hatred for William deepened in her heart.

"I'll go buy a hair dryer."

William ran out of the bathroom as if escaping. Of course, this was because he planned to try another method.

Before leaving, he handed the toilet paper to Emma and instructed her to clean herself up.

...

When he returned.

Emma had calmed down a lot and was no longer embarrassed facing William.

This time luck was good; William saved Emma with the hair dryer (presumably heating the glue to soften it).

"Turn around."

Emma was about to stand up, suddenly saying coldly.

"Who wants to look at a kid." William left on his own.

Then Emma quickly put on her skirt, but there was still some residual glue on her legs, so she had to take a shower.

On the other side.

After William came out, he heard someone knocking on the door.

He walked to the window and found a familiar figure.

...

"Hey, William! Long time no see."

Gordon punched William enthusiastically on the chest, a common way of greeting between men.

This was a robust police officer with a handlebar mustache, always revealing a row of whitened teeth when smiling.

"Why are you here?"

William only swayed slightly and stood firm quickly.

In the past, he would have retreated at least a few steps after taking this punch, but today he felt nothing.

"Oh, there's been a murder case in the bureau recently..."
