Today was a sad for me. I had to be ready for Percy's shroud burning, the last tribute to his death.
Annabeth was dealing with it a lot worse than me. After all, she did like Percy a lot.
For me, it was first time I would be attending a shroud burning. Annabeth had convinced her cabin mates to embroider a sea green cloth, which reflected hues of blue, with a black trident in the center. Owls were also put in the four corners of the cloth.
"Percy Jackson was the child of Poseidon. He accompanied Annabeth Chase, the quest leader for searching Daedalus in the Labyrinth. He singlehandedly stopped the telkhines by creating a massive earthquake. However he has not returned to us, and therefore we assume he is dead," Chiron said, stepping forward first. There was a grim silence in hearing that. "After so long a silence, it is unlikely our prayers will be answered. I have asked his best surviving friend to do the final honors."
Annabeth took the long
green silk burial cloth, and set it on the flames. Annabeth turned to face the audience. She looked terrible. Her eyes were puffy from crying, but she managed to say, "He was probably the bravest friend I've ever had. He..."
She abruptly stopped and looked at someone in the crowd. "But he's right there!" Everyone gasped, including me.
"Percy!" I shouted. I couldn't believe he was alive. Beckendorf grinned, and Clarrise rolled her eyes.
Chiron cantered over and everyone made way for him. "Well," he sighed with obvious relief. "I don't believe I've ever been happier to see a camper return. But you must tell me-"
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" Annabeth interrupted, shoving aside the other campers. She came forward, and I thought she was going to punch him to death (I was secretly hoping for that), but she instead hugged him. It must've surprised Percy, because he hesitated for a second.
Annabeth seemed to realize she was making a scene and pushed him away. "I-we thought you
were dead, Seaweed Brain!" "I'm sorry," Percy said lamely. "I got lost."
"LOST?" she shrieked. "Two weeks,
Percy? Where in the world-" Annabeth was cut off.
"Annabeth," Chiron interrupted. Seeing this as a good opportunity, I started "Percy, what were you even thinking!? You have to-"
"Ben, you too," Chiron berated me. "Perhaps we should discuss this
somewhere more private, shall we? The rest of you, back to your normal activities!" Everyone went to their business without protest. Without waiting for us to protest, he picked up Annabeth and Percy as easily as if they were kittens, slung them both on his back. He looked at me apologetically "Ah, sorry Ben, you're much too big for me."
I just grinned at him. I didn't want to lose a chance to ride a centuar. So I dialled my watch and burst in a green flash. "Grey matter!"
Sighing exasperatedly, he picked me up. I cackled in glee "Wheee!!!"

"Let me get this straight again, you tried to destroy a weapon, then accidentally made a huge earthquake, which in turn made Mt. Saint Helens erupt, which launched you into the sky, and you landed yourself in an island, stayed there a few days, found a boat and sailed here?" I asked in disbelief.
"Pretty much, yeah." Percy replied. Annabeth had an angry look in her eyes "You stayed there for a few days? Why couldn't you come straight here?"
"I was injured." Percy said. "I couldn't just come back yet."
"So you just stayed with Calypso, hmm? I'm out of here." and she rushed out of the room angrily.
"What is her problem?" Percy muttered. Chiron shook his head "My dear boy, Annabeth is very territorial about her friends. She has guessed where you stayed. I suggest you do not talk about that anymore."
"Umm... Who's Calypso?" I asked. My watch answered before anyone could say anything.ย *Calypso is the daughter of Titan Atlas. She is the enchantress trapped in a lonely island, forced to help the greatest heroes. Only those heroes are sent who are needed to leave to complete the destiny of the world.*
"Ok...?" I said uncertainly.
"I think that was why Percy was sent," Chiron answered. "It confirms that the fate of the world rests on Percy."
"Can't you just tell me the prophecy and be done with it?" Percy asked.
Chiron shook his head "No, I am not allowed to. When we get a signal from the gods, then only I can tell you."

We headed to Annabeth directly, because Percy said now he knew a way to navigate The Labyrinth.
After hearing, Annabeth just sniffed, and agreed to it. Both of them looked at me.
"What? I'm not a transport vehicle, you know." I answered.
Anyways, I agreed and I dialled my watch to turn into Upgrade. I turned into a sports bike and they both got on.
Reaching Rachel was no problem, but spotting her was. She was painted golden and was acting like a statue.
After explaining why we needed her, she answered "Alright, I'm in."
Annabeth looked at her incredulously "You want to sign up for this quest without checking for any danger?"
Rachel shrugged "Why not? It's not like I have something interesting to do this summer."
Percy said suddenly "We need to go from a different entrance. It needs to have the delta symbol."
Rachel raised her hand. "Oh, I know. Come with me."
As everyone started following Rachel, I turned backwards. "Where are you going?" Percy asked.
I replied "Well, it's not like I can join your quest anytime. I can only come when you are in danger or something. Call me through the telecommunicator."
His shoulders slumped, bummed out that I couldn't join him. Waving a goodbye, I transformed "Jetray!"

I flew over to Camp Half blood. After reaching cabin 3, I shut myself in. "Oh, what am I going to do?" I muttered.
"Why, just meet with other people." someone said. I jumped back into bed, surprised and my hand on my watch.
I saw someone walk from the shadows. I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw it was Paradox. "What brings you here?" I asked.
He sat down beside me and answered "You have a lot of work to do here, Ben Tennyson. You are a major being in two universes, and you must not get yourself distracted."
"Wow, I feel so great." I replied back sarcastically. "Wouldn't it be an awesome thing if I managed to get myself a major role in Mario world?"

When I saw Paradox thoughtfully nodding, I almost thought I was going to be. "What about Vilgax?" I asked.
"About Vilgax? Vilgax isย yourย main priority over here. You have to leave Kronos to Perseus. It his in his destiny to face him. I cannot interfere with fate very much, however I feel I can change the future." he answered.
"Hmm... What is this about a Prophecy? Percy hasn't heard it yet." I pointed out.
"I know. But Perseus will know once your father approves. And hearing it will only make him irritable." he said.
"Alright, now the real reason why you are here?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.
He nodded, getting up. He opened a portal and answered "Why, so you could immediately go back to Perseus. I sent you ahead in future by 4 days."
"You can do that!?" I asked, completely taken aback by his power.
He winked and disappeared. I sighed and sat down. As if on cue, my watch beeped. I activated it, and saw it was indeed from Percy. I commanded "Omnitrix, teleport to Comm Percy."
A green flash, which consumed me, teleported me right where Percy was fighting. It was a ring, and Percy was trying to stop Luke. A lot of monsters were trying to fight the others. Annabeth was stopping a few of them reaching Rachel.
I willed Afthartos into my hand. Charging, I slashed a dracanae which was going to attack Percy. Skewering it, I got close to him. "About time." he grunted.
I dialled my watch. "Swampfire!" I growled with a green flash.

Making a fireball, I threw it at a monster. It disintegrated immediately. Then I punched a fist into the ground.
Shrubs began growing and holding the monsters. But it wasn't enough, because they kept breaking free. I sent a stream of fire at Luke.
He dodged and looked at me with narrowed eyes. He however was completely focused on battle with Percy.
Thrusting myself into the air with fire, I kicked a monster, really hard. It exploded into golden dust. Looking around, I knew it wasn't enough. I tapped my watch "Ultimate Swampfire!"
I shot a stream of hot blue flames, and it's immediate contact made them disintegrate. Luke shouted "Fall back! We must not make any delays."
Another demigod distracted Percy while he ran away. Why does everyone keep running away from me?
"Percy, you alright?" I asked.
"Yeah" he grunted, wiping the dirt off his shirt.
"Never thought you had the interest in gladiator type fights." I pointed out.
"It was a wresting fight." he muttered. Raising his voice, he said "Luke escaped again. We are still on the trail to find Daedalus."
"Yeah, but now I can actually accompany you." I said happily.
"How is that even possible?" he asked completely surprised.
"It's because you never looked at the quest rule book, Jackson." Annabeth said.
I raised an eyebrow. Since when did she start calling him by his last name? Clearing my thoughts, I said "Rachel, mind if you start the trail again? I'll help."
I dialled my watch, using the weapon system in a long time. A yellow coloured glass came out. I call it 'The Eye-Glass'
I put it on, everything clearing slightly. I could also see a thin white veil, and some traps in some ways.
I walked with Rachel, both Annabeth and Percy following us. Annabeth seemed to be completely ignoring Percy. Yeah, Percy really did screw up by landing on that island.
The patterns on the wall, I noticed, got simpler, like zigzags and dots and stuff, unlike the complicated Greco-Roman paintings I saw before.
After what felt like an eternity, we found a room.
"This is it." Annabeth whispered. "This is Daedulus' workshop."
Rachel had a look of awe on her face, as Annabeth. Percy was looking at the worktable. It had a sleek laptop, and some blueprint paper.
But I had let down my guard, when a voice behind surprised me "You're finally here. And I thought it would take longer."
