I researched the location where Vilgax's DNA trace was last found. Turns out it was the same place where we rescued Annabeth, Mt. Tamalpais.
The sooner I found Vilgax, the better. I packed everything I needed, and gave Percy a Telecommunicator. It will help me track him, even in the Labyrinth.
I went to the Big House to inform Chiron I was going to leave soon. When I entered, I didn't find Chiron.
Instead I heard screams, and a female voice trying to calm the screaming person down. When I got closer, I found out it was Clarrise, and a boy who I didn't know.
"Please Chris! You're alright. You're alright. There's no danger from any son of Poseidon." Clarrise tried to pacify the person named Chris. So far, it was proving ineffective.
Chris screamed "No!! The son of Poseidon is danger! The string is not the only way!" and kept speaking gibberish.
Not wanting to be caught, I steered out of the big house. After a few minutes, I found Chiron teaching archery.
When he saw me, he took a break for a few minutes to discuss where I would be going, and why.
I told him my reasons, although not mentioning Vilgax. They already have the danger of Kronos, I didn't want another burden on them.
I left to pack some snacks for my journey, and of course get some money for myself. But I had to do something first.

I found myself at the doorstep on cabin 10 aka, Aphrodite cabin. I knocked on the door, and immediately was blinded by the amount of pinkness.
"There you are! Finally come to have fun with us, eh?" A girl asked, drooling over me.
I was thoroughly disgusted. I put up my hand "Sorry. I'm just here to talk to Silena."
She then smiled at me lustfully "Oh? So are you going to talk to her, or seduce her? Might I remind you that she has a boyfriend already, but we can settle for us. You and me." she emphasized the last sentence.
"Ugh. No thanks, I don't want things like those." I said, wrinkling my nose.
The girl however seemed to ignore my words "Oh, by the way, my name is Drew. We are going to have lots of fun!"

"Are all of you guys like this?" I asked sighing.
"Fortunately, no. Drew just follows mom's way of breaking many boy's hearts." A voice said.
Behind Drew, came Silena. She turned to Drew "Now, be a good girl and go inside. NOW!" She commanded her.
Drew went inside the cabin grumbling something about 'snag', 'unlucky' and 'hot'.
She turned to me "Yes? I believe you wanted to talk to me." I paused for a second and replied "Yep. Although I would like to talk in Zeus' fist. Meet me there in a few minutes."

"For God's sake! Why does everyone think I want to ask you out? I have no interest in a new romance whatsoever." I replied, frustrated.
Her eyes became softer "Alright. I'll come in a few minutes." I replied "Thanks. Will see you there."
I walked out of the cabin, dreading the talk with her. I didn't know why, but I thought she should be forgiven.

As planned, Silena came alone to Zeus' fist. "Hi" I said awkwardly.
She smiled brightly and said "Hi. What did you want to talk to me about?"
"You know, I have a girlfriend of mine. Her name's Kai. Your mother was trying to look like her when I met her." I said looking at the sky.
"Oh... So you need some lovey-dovey advice, don't you? You could have just asked me in the cabin, you know, nobody would have minded." She replied.
"Yeah... But that's not the only reason," I turned my eyes on her wrist, which had a silver bracelet. "Why are you doing it?"
Silena's expression froze. Then she asked carefully "Doing what?"
"Oh, you know, passing information about the camp to the enemy. I just want to know why you are doing it. I need to realize whether you are a threat or not." I said, my face devoid of any emotions.
Now Silena had a fearful look on her face "I... I am not doing anything wrong. Luke said that it will help keep the camp safe. He- he threatened me. He said if I don't help him then he will kill those people I care for."
I nodded, so this Luke guy threatened demigods to spy for him. "Well, sorry to inform you, but this will actually harm the camp even more. From what I've heard from Percy, this Luke guy will not give any mercy to anyone except demigods. That's understandable, but Kronos, from what I've heard, will kill us no matter what. So you immediately need to stop this."
She had a few tears rolling down her beautiful face "I- I can't. Its charmed so I can never take it off."
I sighed. Of course, count on the super villains to have a spy something like these. I held up my hand "I believe I can help, but you must promise not to tell anybody what I'm going to tell you. Alright?"
She nodded "Alright. I swear on Styx I won't tell whatever secret Ben is going to tell in any way."
Thunder flashed in the sky. I dialled my watch. "Graymater!" I exclaimed with a green flash, turning into my Galvan form.
"Eep! A rat!" Silena shrieked.
"It's me, Silena! I'm Ben!" I sighed, expecting the reaction.
"Bu-but, how?" she asked, her eyes wide.
I rolled my eyes "Just pick me up, no, I don't bite, nor do I have any disease."
Silena picked me in her hand carefully eyeing me. I immediately started fiddling with the bracelet.
After a few minutes, I couldn't even crack it. I needed something more detailed, something more delicate.
Juryrigg wasn't an option, that devil just broke absolutely everything. Then I remembered my new abilities of Upgrade.
I tapped my watch on my back. "Upgrade!" I exclaimed with a green flash.
Silena was looking a little scared. I extended my fingers towards the bracelet, and it turned into extremely tiny fingers, capable of fiddling in the machine.
Ah, the true powers of a fully transformed Upgrade.
I immediately found the opening, and clicked it from inside. The bracelet gave a hiss and it slid down Silena's hand.
I extended my hand to pick it up, but as soon as I touched it, it turned into dust, leaving no trace behind.
I transformed back and looked Silena. Tears were forming in her eyes.
Suddenly, she flung herself at me and muttered "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou" repeatedly in my ear.

I gave her a grin "No problem actually. I just wanted to give you another chance."
She pulled herself back and gave me a warming smile. "Now I'm free fromย hisย service. Thank you so much."
I gave her a two finger salute, and walked off.
Exiting the camp, I took in a deep breath and transformed. "Jetray!"

Turns out, flying directly to San Francisco was a really hard thing to do, even for Jetray.
What did Zeus have against the children of Poseidon, it's not like you should hate them just because you hate their father.
I had no wish to continue those thoughts, as I had reached my destination.

Great. Vilgax was up in Mt. Tamalpais, headquarters of the Titans. Although I did know he had sided with them, I was still hoping he would fight outside.
I dialled my watch. "Eyeguy!" I exclaimed with a green flash, turning into an Opticoid.
"Let's see, if eye can spot Vilgax or not." I said to myself.
Extending my middle eye, I went "Woah!"
With my other eyes, I was seeing normally. But with my middle eye, the whole world was encased in a cloudy white substance, and it was making me see things differently.
"So, this is the mist they keep talking about." I muttered.
I jogged towards the mountains, now nothing fooling me with illusions.
I found an empty area. Nobody was there, not even the 4 sisters. It was eerily quiet, warning me a danger was about to come.
And I was right. Someone came from my back with a sword. I turned around quickly and dodged it.
It was a demigod. He had a crazed look in his eyes. It was also kinda yellow.
I transformed back and recalled Afthartos in my hand. Then the strangest thing happened.
He opened his mouth, to shoot spider webs at me! I was shocked seeing that, but I still managed to dodge it.
"Wonderful, isn't it? Demigods are such wonderful test subjects, their bodies perfectly accept the DNA of other aliens." a voice said from behind.
My anger grew. "Vilgax" I spat down venomously. "What. Did. You. Do!?"
He gave a sinister laugh. "Worry not, Ben Tennyson. This demigod has been successfully combined with an Arachnichimp. The demigod gained greater reflexes, and of course, the ability to shoot webs."
How? Where did he even get the DNA. "And why would I tell you?" Vilgax asked, like he was reading my mind. "I have lived for 300 years, and you are a mere child compared to me."
"Yeah, yeah old man. You need some old age home when you retire?" I asked, rolling my eyes.
Vilgax's eyes flared "Do not test my patience, you impudent fool! Demigod, attack!"
I rolled out of the stream of spider web shot at me. I dialled my watch. "Spidermonkey! Let me show you a true Spidermonkey."
I jumped up and shot a spiderweb at him. He caught with his hand and it dissolved. Fantastic.
Close combat, it is. I tried going forward. I found an opening, and executed my flurry punches move.
The demigod slowed down, before resuming his fighting. I dodged another one of his sword strikes.
This was a really exhausting fight, both of us seeming to be at no stop. I paused for a moment.
My hands went to my omnitrix on my chest. "Ultimate Spidermonkey!" I exclaimed, transforming into a purple gorilla with spider like extension legs, beating my arms in my chest.
I raised my fist to give him a powerful punch. The demigod finally staggered backwards.
I turned to look around, seeing Vilgax had already run away. I activated my DNA repair mode.
It made a full scan, removing the foreign DNA.
The demigod, clearly exhausted, fell down. I couldn't think about him anymore.
The more concerning matter now is to find out how Vilgax is doing these experiments and how to stop them.
