Chapter 13 - Chapter 12 – Sparks of Innovation

I leaned back in my chair, hands clasped behind my head, and let out a satisfied sigh.

Electricity.In the medieval ages.

I had done it. Not just in theory, not just as a sketch in some ancient notebook—I had invented electricity, harnessed it, and wired it into the very foundations of our secret facilities. Lights flickered gently overhead, powered by small generators I had constructed. Heat could now be distributed without wood fires. Machines could operate autonomously. My mind raced with the endless possibilities.

And then there was plumbing. Clean water. Indoor pipes. Faucets. Sewage systems. It was all basic in the modern world—but in this era, it was revolutionary. Our subordinates no longer had to haul water from wells or relieve themselves in public courtyards. The Foundation's bases were becoming palaces compared to the rest of the world.

I couldn't help myself. I sent a message into the System chat:

[Alexander – O5‑1]:Behold, mortals and my fellow O5s! I have conquered the dark ages. Electricity and plumbing—installed. Lights in every facility, running water for all. You're welcome.

Almost immediately, the replies flooded in.

[Cleopatra – O5‑5]:GENIUS! Absolutely genius! How do you even do this?

[Julius – O5‑2]:I bow to your brilliance. My security teams now have lights for night drills. We will never stumble in the dark again.

[Darius – O5‑3]:Brilliant. I can see everything happening now, day or night, without raising suspicion. You truly are unstoppable.

[SunTzu – O5‑4]:I should have guessed. Only Alexander would find a way to bend even time and knowledge to invent the future early.

I chuckled, leaning back and allowing myself a small flourish of arrogance."Of course, my dear friends," I typed back, "this is what happens when you have the cursed knowledge of a genius, downloaded directly into your brain, and a body that never tires. I am, of course, awesome."

They groaned collectively in the chat—but I knew it was admiration disguised as annoyance.

I turned my gaze back to the room, surveying the soft hum of electrical lights, the subtle trickle of running water through pipes, and the efficiency that had replaced manual labor.

The Foundation was no longer just a secret society of medieval powerbrokers. It was a modern force in an ancient world.

And I? I was the genius who had brought the future to the past.

I allowed myself one small, smug grin. The God who had reincarnated us might have been watching, bored, but I could practically feel the invisible smirk I imagined on His face.

Yes. Let the game continue.

Because if this was only the beginning, then the rest of the world had no idea what was coming.
