Chapter 17 - Chapter 16 – The Coffee Machine That Changed Everything

Another year passed, another round of anxiety. Each yearly summoning was a gamble—anything from harmless to world-ending. Even with all my intelligence, I couldn't predict what that bored God would throw at us next.

Then the system notification appeared.

A new SCP has been summoned: SCP-294.

For a moment I just stared.

SCP-294.

A coffee machine.

A coffee machine that could dispense any liquid in existence.

I nearly screamed from excitement.

The O5 chat exploded instantly.

Cleopatra:COFFEE!!! REAL COFFEE AGAIN?!

Julius:I am ordering wine. The real stuff. Not the ancient world's questionable grape juice.

Darius:An espresso. And then another. And then five more.

Sun Tzu:Strategically, this is the best SCP we've received so far.

I grinned at my screen. They were excited for drinks.

I was excited for the possibilities.

SCP-294 had spawned inside one of our Foundation sites—thank every cosmic force in existence. We didn't have to fight half the planet to secure it. My security forces locked the site down immediately, and within hours, SCP-294 was delivered straight to the facility I was in.

Doctor Bright stood beside me when the machine arrived, both of us practically vibrating.

"A coffee machine," he muttered. "A magical coffee machine. Alexandra, do you know what this means?"

"Oh, I know exactly what this means," I said, stepping forward with a wicked smile. "It means we can finally get things this world isn't supposed to have."

I placed a coin into the slot.

I typed: Vibranium, liquid form.

Bright held his breath.

SCP-294 whirred softly, and then—A cup filled with shimmering silver-blue liquid slid into the tray.

I stared at it, stunned.

"Oh my God," Bright whispered. "Alex. You just summoned vibranium."

Liquid vibranium.In the medieval era.

I lifted the cup carefully, the energy humming against my fingertips.

In the modern Marvel world, vibranium is priceless.Kingdoms, empires, and gods would kill for it.

And I had a damn coffee cup full of it.

"Bright," I said slowly, "we just broke the universe."

He nodded."Yes. Yes we did. I'm so proud."

We moved the sample to my research lab immediately. Between my enhanced intelligence and Bright's scientific skill, we dove into full analysis.

The results were insane.

Vibranium was everything the Marvel universe had promised and more:

near-infinite energy storage

extreme durability

molecular reconstruction abilities

potential for weapons, armor, reactors, machines, and more

And with SCP-294, we could generate more.

Not too much, of course. We couldn't risk destabilizing the world long before the Marvel timeline even began.

But enough for research.Enough for prototypes.Enough for a future where the Foundation could rival Asgard, Wakanda, the Kree, the Celestials—anyone.

Meanwhile, the other O5 members were having the time of their lives.

They were drinking sodas, juices, modern coffees, even energy drinks. The system chat looked like children in a candy store.

Julius:I ordered Coca-Cola. This is the greatest day of my life.

Cleopatra:Alex… Alex this grape soda is DIVINE.

Sun Tzu:Mountain Dew has increased my strategic clarity.

Darius:I just had a caramel latte. I will never return to ancient beverages again.

Honestly, it was adorable.

But for me and Bright?

SCP-294 wasn't a novelty.

It was a miracle.

I stared at the vibranium sample, feeling the weight of possibility.

With this, we could change everything.

With this, the Foundation could stand against gods.

With this, we could survive the Marvel universe.

Bright leaned over my shoulder."So," he said, grinning, "what liquid do we test next?"

I smiled.

"Everything."
