Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 – The O5 Council and the First Anomaly

The System interface shimmered before me, brighter than usual, almost expectant. Then a new notification appeared:

SYSTEM MANDATE:Assign designations O5‑1 through O5‑5.Create the High Command of the SCP Foundation.

My breath caught. This was it—the true beginning.

One by one, we entered our designations.

O5‑1: Administrator

Me.I stared at my new codename, feeling the weight settle across my shoulders like a cloak woven from a thousand potential futures.

Job:

Supreme leader of the Foundation.

Overseer of all research, experimentation, and technological development.

Final authority on all anomalies.

It fit me too well. My mind was already racing with what I could build—what I needed to build—to survive what was coming.

O5‑2: Sentinel

Julius. He accepted the role with a small, satisfied smile.

Job:

Security.

Containment.

Tactical deployment teams for SCP recovery.

If anything needed to be captured, locked down, or eradicated, he would be the one commanding the strike.

O5‑3: The Watcher

Darius.

Job:

Intelligence.

Espionage.

Covert surveillance.

Future intelligence agencies under his control.

A master spymaster from his past life, now reborn in an era of kings and conquest. Perfect.

O5‑4: Factorum

Sun Tzu.

Job:

Military operations.

Strategic warfare.

D‑Class recruitment and management.

He didn't merely command armies—he shaped wars like a sculptor shapes clay.

O5‑5: Treasure

Cleopatra.

Job:

Finances.

Economic expansion.

Treasury and global resource management.

Even in this world, she understood money better than anyone alive.

When the final designation was confirmed, the System pulsed.

O5 Council Established.Reward: Anomaly Summoning – SCP‑006.

For a moment, I didn't understand.

Then my eyes widened. No—no way—the system couldn't be that insane already.

But it was.

SCP‑006: "Fountain of Youth" has manifested in the natural world.

My blood turned cold.

SCP‑006 wasn't a creature or a monster—it was something far more dangerous.

A natural spring with water that granted renewed youth, cellular regeneration, and near‑functional immortality.

It was small. Easy to hide. Easy to lose. But its value…?

Limitless.Terrifyingly limitless.

I typed into the O5 chat instantly.

[Administrator – O5‑1]:We need to secure SCP‑006 immediately. No delays. No mistakes.

[Sentinel – O5‑2]:Already preparing a containment strike team. Give me the coordinates.

[The Watcher – O5‑3]:This will attract attention. Even a rumor of this spring could destabilize entire empires.

[Factorum – O5‑4]:Then we must move before the world even learns it exists.

[Treasure – O5‑5]:Immortality… If any empire discovers it, Earth would become a battlefield.

I exhaled slowly.

This was our first real test. Our first SCP.And one of the most politically dangerous anomalies in existence.

If even the smallest whisper spread—immortality, eternal youth—the entire world would erupt. Rulers, warlords, future superpowers, even cosmic beings would descend upon Earth.

I had no intention of letting that happen.

I clenched my fists, determination burning through me.

"I want that spring under Foundation control," I said aloud. "Sealed, hidden, guarded. Forever."

This was no longer a slow-building organization. This was the beginning of war—quiet, invisible, but inevitable.

And the stakes?

Everything.
