Is Anderson upset? Is he jealous? Does this ruin the little friendship we were starting to build? I have no idea. The feeling is thick in my chest, like I betrayed him somehow. I did nothing wrong, but that guilty thought follows me all the way to chemistry, my final class of the day.
Jade waves me over to a seat in the back. We have not seen each other since lunch. I am not sure I want to talk to her right now. She is probably the one who sent Jackson to find me, and the idiot had to kiss me.
I drop into the seat she saved for me with bad grace. She pulls her phone from her purse and slides it across the desk. I do not want to look. My eyes go to the door instead, my only escape. Mr. Andy should be here soon, but until then, I am trapped making conversation with her. This is so fucking typical.
"You two looked really cute," Jade says.
